  1. I was given a Balvenie Doublewood recently for doing a homer (Towbar) 2 years after finishing it........ It was very nice. It's only in the last year I have been drinking the whisky straight. I must confess,I am really liking it that way now. Very atmospheric sitting in front of the log burner with a nice Malt and the smell of the burning wood.
  2. I am enjoying a Glen Grant single Malt Limited Edition.Lovely. What's your favourite Dram ??
  3. Almost every night, was a bit much when I had two dogs............
  4. Cloudy now, don't think I'll be waiting up.
  5. I've seen it maybe three times if memory serves, always late in the year.Once driving home up the A9,had to stop to look properly, amazing sight. Seen it frome home a couple of times.Sky is crystal clear up here tonight,I often try and spot satellites(anorak,I know,I know) out the back of the house when I am in the field walking the dog, there is no artificial light out there.
  6. If you bought a new motor in Barrhead you usually got HS back in the day. IIRC David Blanes garage owned XS1 to XS10,I lived next to there in Incle Street for a while and would see some of them occasionally so being nosy I asked. As I said earlier, the ST1 plate from up here is a bit famous, there is another well known local plate NE5 SIE. It's only in the last ten years or so that the Western Isles has had plates with 666 in them, wouldn't have it before. I like the paisley one.
  7. I remember a few years back the DVLA had an ad for an upcoming auction of number plates and R1 DER was the star plate of the day. They were expecring the Horsey crowd to be out in their droves for that one, never looked to see what it went for. Bidding to start at £100,000. And that was 10 years ago .....I think. One of the most famous British plates was the Saint's car ( Ironically) his Volvo with ST1. It was an Inverness plate but they didn't own it so the car was never on public roads..........apparently.
  8. No !!!!!!! Me and Faraway are having a "quiet " pint tomorrow.......
  9. Green blusters in Press to gain favour (and sell more tickets) with Orcs for umpteenth time shock.......... We should be used to/expect this crap from him by now.
  10. Tune in to 1972 on Vintage TV........ Does this count ??? Some great classic tunes . More Russian dancing juice please......Smirnoff
  11. I see Green is in the media again stirring it up to make him look good in the eyes of the Orcs ............... and to sell season tickets of course. I think he is quite willing to face a few disrepute charges and pay a few fines on the way to making Sevco ready for sale if he can manage this before they go bust again.
  12. Doncaster has just told us the sum total of F**k all on the telly just now.....as expected a waste of my time.......and his .I really hope the non OF clubs don't roll over on this,I would be horrified and probably that would finish me with footy. How Saints look at it would be a major factor of course.
  13. Split Enz .......Conflicting Emotions.......are they deid yet ???? No conflict for me though.
  14. More bluster from the Insolvent ones....Jardine is just like the rest ,Smith,Hately ,Goram et al,they are spouting this pish for one reason imo,and that is to appear distraught and showing their anger(for the Orcs to lap up) at this great injustice by the Football Authorities for....Ah yes...Breaking the f****n rules.!!! The bit that continually hacks me off is the fact that this lot, along with the arse licking Media, all know that Rankgers are wholly guilty but see their own wee corners of Castle Greyskull about to vaporise as a reason to go along with the Orcs twisted reasoning and to actively stir them up even more. Can't wait for Monday and more sanctions..........from the SFA. Lets hope we have not long to wait for the end of this lot.
  15. Looks like that could be one of the best tops in the third division...........Potentially.
  16. 103 Glenfield Road for me,was born in that middle flat in the good old tenement. The b******s have knocked it down now.Great memories, the Sunday Market, helping out with Watt's horses at the bottom of Glenfield are two of my favourites.Coming down in the Summer to spend a week going round a lot of the places mentioned in this terrific thread. Great work Sonny, keep it up... How are you doing as well Buddiecat ????
  17. I was having a monumental shit day................until I saw Jim White on Sky News
  18. Simple Minds Live in the City of Light.......there is a video posted of "Big Sleep" by GUSMACPHERSON.............how very apt
  19. Dead right Scott, Me and the Missus started watching at 11 the other night and finished at 04.15,hoarse from joining in singing and fairly well skooshed, fantastic
  20. XTC............English Settlement, terrific to find videos of them on U Tube and just about anybody else, great for an 80's child like myself Best thing I ever bought was the laptop so I now run it through the surround amp and the big telly, picture and sound is brilliant, endless entertainment.
