  1. so what's happening with john mcginn?
  2. ...to the tune of this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NS5_Ry-JRuc "His first name is Cheesy, Cheesy, Cheesy, "His second name McAusland, McAusland, McAusland, "And that is why we like him, we like him, we like him, "In fact we f**kin love him, we love him, we love him, "Oh oh oh oh oh ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, "Oh oh oh oh oh ohhhhhhh." repeat ad infinitum.
  3. I'm giving up on this club. If this is what we can expect then f*** that for a laugh - I'm off to the cinema.
  4. Former season ticket holder here - chose not to go today convinced we'd be once again terrible...was right. Work forced me to give up the season ticket but thank god - imagine paying for that?? Could of turned up and paid £20 today. What a farce! Here's the stats since we arrived in 2014: - Played: 9 - Lost: 7 - Won: 1 We've been god awful to watch over that period. So I looked up shots stats for that nine game run: - Attempts: 57 - Shots on target: 22 (average 2.4/game) - Goals: 6 Shocking. But how bad is that? Well, in the same nine games we've had 119 attempts on our goal, and in that period we had two matches in which we didn't register a single shot on target and in today's game only had one. Lennon must go. Driving fans away with his god awful tactics, inability to motivate players, and useless approach to player recruitment.
  5. Ach well we've still got the play-off final to look forward to #cupdream
  6. I'm really struggling to find what Newton is bringing to the team this season. Seems half the player who scored in the final. Pulls out of every challenge; always looking for someone else to take over the man he's supposed to be tracking back; struggling to find simple passes; looks so shot of confidence and bored of playing. Anyone else feel the same? We know there is a fantastic player in there - where's he gone?
  7. Danny's going for it today with a back three - mcgregor, Goodwin and cheesy - and two wing backs!
  8. Tope obadeyi was the player who turned us down I'm led to believe. Former Bolton striker who has just left rio ave.
  9. This is right about the fact Newcastle would like to have the option to recall Campbell at any point. But it is not us acting as a stumbling block saying no to that. A loan deal from Newcastle to us is deemed international as it crosses the border. Any international loan deal is required - by Fifa rules - to last from window to window. As a result, our only real chances of being able to snap him up would have been if a) Newcastle brought in another striker and/or No team down south was interested in him. Shame it looks like we're missing out - looked a player too the boy.
  10. got two spare tickets for the megabus gold bus leaving inverness at 7.30pm coming home. you get seats with tables, tinted windows, plugs, wifi - the works. bought for £20 each happily sell them on for £30 total and can drive to drop em off today.
  11. I don't know if I'm being harsh here - I personally don't feel like I am, having been to near every game last season - but I quite often get the impression that this squad we have really struggle to get themselves up for anything other than big matches. The pre-season thus far might back that up, and maybe even the Newcastle game will strengthen that belief when from nowhere we get some extraordinary result because its a glamour fixture, but its something iv felt for a while now. Our successful cup run - bar the Accies war of attrition - brought out most of our top performances last year, I think most folk would agree with that. But our league form, especially in 2013, was absolutely horrendous, really so so bad to watch. The only time I really saw us compete and do most things right routinely was when we played Celtic (post October's 0-5 humbling) and Motherwell. Is that telling?? The fact it was against arguably the leagues two best teams? Is it the quality of the opposition that brings out the better side of us? Or is it the way they play - ball down, build from the back football (a somewhat better mirror image of ours) - that enables our system to work, hence we can actually play and play well? If so, does that mean our system doesn't work against teams that play a traditional British style of football? I.e every other team in the league? Perhaps. Or is it something else? Is it Danny failing to motivate the players in games out with those which players will be naturally motivated for? Is it thommo and teale, having played at the top level for many years, taking the foot off the gas every so often in their twilight years? Is it too many inexperienced players? Is it too many experienced players here for a holiday? I don't know. But I do feel we have a problem when we're not playing in glamour games or against big teams.
  12. Div should allow love street to open his own topic, in which he lists these four signings he says he knows we've made...or whatever crap he's saying is gonna happen with transfers. Then Div locks it immediately so no one can see it. Then it's opened for all to see the first day of the season.
  13. family club my arse! a thug found guilty of chanting "f*** the pope and the IRA". a disgusting signing, shame on SMFC.
  14. danny in today's pde saying our left back will come from closer to home.....either barron or carey, or even some under-19 left-back. case closed on that one then!
  15. Heard from a high-up source in the club that Danny's said he is not looking for a left back and plans to play with 3 at the back - presumably mair, cheesy and mcgregor - in what I'm guessin will be a 3-5-2 next season. Interesting, but would make sense given the last topic I started was about Franco and travener being offered back - which came from the same in the-know-source - with Danny obviously not willing to offer any of them a deal.
  16. haha spot on, he is the EXACT type of man i want!!
  17. id just like to point out i stayed at an expensive hotel two years ago for a night and steven thompson was there. i sat in the bar for a drink and he was already in the bar with friends and family drinking. i then went and had my dinner and came back about 2 hours later and he was still in the bar drinking. he then stayed drinking in the bar with those same people for what must have been in excess of a further 2 hours. is this the type of player we want at our club???
  18. i know that but if it is the case that he's struggling for a club by the end of the window then we should at least offer him a wage to get himself somewhere decent next season.
  19. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/scotland/9368803.stm offer him six months to get himself a team for next season. he is a total fud but a decent footballing fud at that. a midfielder i know but an attacking one.
  20. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12875_5859619,00.html mcginn's money here please.
