Uploaded this clip from 20th February 1999, remember it clearly arriving at the Shyberry Excelsior to face Airdrie and being told the match was postponed just on or around 2.30pm

I have uploaded to Youtube the 1998 documentary "Love Street Blues" from the BBC 1 series Frontline Scotland, which focused on the plight of the club at the time and about the controversial figure of Reg Brealey who wanted to buy St Mirren.

Gary Teale sounded as if he was reading from the Tommy Craig book of excuses, in his post match interview on the radio this evening.

It's far too big a risk taking on Gary Teale as manager on a permanent basis, hopefully the BOD will make a wise choice and bring in someone with experience, there was always going to a lift in the players when Tommy Craig was sacked no matter who they made caretaker manager.

I blieve they are already down to a short list of three. Terry Butcher is one of those, I imagine Gary Teale will be one of the other two.
Aren't the other two Stephen Morris and Gillian Gilbert?

Hopefully we go down the experienced route this time, Barry Smith has been mentioned and despite that SPL record with Dundee (he was preparing for Division 1 it has to be said), he did once go on a 20+ unbeaten run with a threadbare Dundee team which is good management, another name to add to the growing list could be Shaun Reid, the current manager of Warrington Town, his commitment on their recently televised FA Cup match v Exeter was great and so passionate, his brother is Peter Reid, so would have good contacts, and wouldn't cost much to bring him up to Paisley.
I still nod my hat to Nigel Worthington though, very experienced manager and currently without a club.

I feel like Ebeneezer Scrooge waking up realising he hasn't missed Christmas, I had been grumpy like Scrooge since from early October with TC in charge but now I am delighted the board has finally seen sense.
Hopefully they appoint a manager outside the current staff and don't make the same mistake again.
Nigel Worthington would be my choice as manager.

Tommy Craig has flipped his lid with that interview, he clearly has no respect for all St Mirren supporters.
As for William Shakepspeare he was a fake, Christopher Marlowe wrote all his work and Shakespeare took the credit for it.

We will be going into December with just 8 league points which is a disgrace, all caused by the completely inept Tommy Craig, the worst manager in the club's history, and yet we have people posting here who are now feeling positive??? Get real, he is pulling the wool over the supporters eyes, and using excuses to keep himself in the job.

I am getting very annoyed just reading what TC has been saying, please can someone just ask him to resign as no St Mirren fan wants him.

Just read the article in the Herald, it was Graeme macPherson who wrote it, it clearly says name and even has it photo on the page itself!

I really hope TC does the hounourable thing and resign today, I have never know so many St Mirren supporters to be so disenfranchised with a manager not since the dark days of John Coughlin.
His media inteviews on Radio Scotland and Sportscene were offensive to all St Mirren supporters, if he is still manager on Saturday then I can see the attendance v ICT being one of our lowest in over ten years.
The board messed up on this badly but are too arrogant to do anything about it, the club would lose more money if relegated, so sacking TC now would be a cheaper option than being relegated with him still in charge.

Warrington Town are my English team as my wife is originally from Orford in Warrington, actually I am sure there is a St Mirren connection as former player Jimmy Drinkwater was responsible for the club forming in the 40s.
Was delighted with result and performance, wish St Mirren would show that commitment.

Tommy's excuses are becoming tiresome, he really should do the honourable thing and resign, I hope he would be sacked by now but the board seem too tight fisted to do so, our 2 league wins this season were lucky, we got a dodgy free kick with lead to the winning penalty v Partick Thistle, and the win at St Johnstone saw them having 2 genuine goals chopped offside, we moan about refs being bad but there without their terrible decisions we would be bottom of the league.
Tommy Craig makes John Coughlin look like Jose Mourinho.

Hammarby and 2010 League Cup Final were awful but for a long sustained period of a worst time being a Saints fand, has to be the latter era of the Bone period, Coughlin era too, 96/97 was a poor season too, and not forgetting going almost 10 seasons without a Scottish Cup run.

I will only believe this rumour when George Swan puts "pen" to paper and signs a contract.

I wouldn't mind seeing Shaun Reid becoming the next manager of St Mirren, he is working wonders on a shoestring budget at Warrington Town FC, always gets his team giving 100%, will have many good contacts too with his brother being former Everton legend Peter Reid.
Compensation wouldn't be that much either, and he is looking to progress in management.
