Second Decay got a reaction from scottd in Updated: Alex Rae Is Our New Manager
A good appointment, passionate about football with decent experience and seems very keen about the job.
He has taken the job as he is confident in taking the club forward and climb up the league, if you remember back Ian Murray decided to take the job only because he and his family were offered a cup of tea

Second Decay got a reaction from Sweeper07 in Miller The Organ Grinder, Murray The Monkey?
I wonder if Alex knew he would be coming back to St Mirren after the defeat to Falkirk last Saturday, as the very next day he was at the Hibernian v Sevco match, ok he does have connections to both clubs, but maybe he was there in to get the low down St Mirren's next opponents

I have refrained from commenting until now as I thought it wise not to post while angry. Not to post whilst angry may be wise indeed.
But I am angry. I am ashamed of my club and angry at the board of directors. The fact is we fans are unlikely to see the money raised by this shameful act spent on the team. Even if we do get a loan player or two we are unlikely to remember them in years to come. But what is a fact is that disgusting signage on my clubs stadium wall is an image I will never forget and I am regretfully unlikely to forgive. A shameful act by people who have rapidly fallen from my favour. This week I am embarrassed by my club and that is not a nice feeling.

Possibly the worst decision by the board since appointing Tommy Craig as a manager.
It's like if you went on holiday and asked a friend or neighbour to check on your house and they end up replacing your own nameplate on the door and replace it with their own nameplate.

I don't think anyone has a problem with the club renting the stadium out to Celtic for the friendlies mate, or using the corporate hospitality suite, or indeed using the club shop to sell their merchandise.
What a few of us DO have a problem with is taking the St.Mirren Crest down off the wall and replacing it with a Celtic one.
The crest is symbolic, it shouldn't ever be replaced at our own stadium with that of a rival club.
I don't think it would have been unreasonable for Celtic to have a sign out on the street advising Celtic fans that their merchandise was for sale in the shop, or indeed a big sign in the window, but leave the fecking St.Mirren Crest alone. It is OUR stadium, they are just a guest passing through.
I'm not crying about it but I think it lacks a bit of class.

I've no problem with Celtic using the stadium and us making commercial gain out of it. None at all.
What I DO have a problem with is the Celtic Crest being placed on our walls at the expense of a St.Mirren crest.
This is beyond the value of any commercial deal in my opinion. Very poor decision.
I am sure signage outside the shop could have easily alerted Celtic fans that their merchandise was for sale in the shop.

It's a complete and utter disgrace. Completely unacceptable.
