This team being one thats got us to a semi.....?Ok, the team, or squad, that got us to the cup final, this team...............................................[emoji38] -
Favourite Isma Gonsalves
Poorest Tonet. In terms of Talent.. Thomas Stickroth. In terms of goals Gunni Torfason. In terms of presence Viktor. The poorest. A few from the short reign of Alan Stubbs perhaps. But Mo Camera was the most dissapointibg. -
I didn't see the birthday message at all.
I did see a wee guy in a saints top but never saw a message.Aye ok, you win.
Somebody, seemingly, in charge put it on the display screen......................another numpty on the books. [emoji14] -
Aye but it was his unbirthday.
No it wasn't. [emoji38] -
I dont think the thread is about Danny v Obika, it's about whether he should at least feature. I would see it more as Danny v Andrue or MoriasActually I do like Mullen, he is an out and out tryer, always puts in a shift. But he simply isnt a striker, he never holds the ball up.That's why Obika has been so important for us, and why Danny is bench warming at best.
Danny runs till he loses it, Obika is a handful for any defender, holds it up, and gets in the box to finish.
Andrue is frustrating because we expect to see the type of goal(s) he scored against us but we haven't. He's missed 2 pens (1 that mattered) so a lot of people question his desire and mentality. What isnt recognised is that he has set up most of our goals. People remember the missed sitters that have cost us points rather than assists.
Morias seems to be a good honest pro. He is small strong and tries hard. He has had a lot of chances to shine and hasnt really done that, maybe due to where he is played ie like being played on his own up front against Hamilton.
Mullen, carries a lot of favour in a similar way Billy Mehmet did in that he may not score v often but when he does it's a cracking goal that generally meant something. Like mehmet he also has a lot of weaknesses to his game. Where Billy didnt pass Mullen does the same. The slight difference iscwhere billy kept running until he ran it out of play or was tackled Danny falls over and is very rarely awarded a freekick.
I doubt anyone thinks Danny should start ahead of Obika but bringing him on when we need an unexpected goal from somewhere should be an option. -
I think Danny and Cody are suffering for their failure in the league cup at the very earliest stage.
Obviously we dont know what's going on at training or elsewhere but I do think we are shooting ourselves in the foot with using exactly same substitutions every match.
Danny can be frustrating, but boy can he smack them home when it counts. -
I hope Derek McInnes falls for the mind games as easily as the OP.

I'm disappointed that Dundee United didnt feature in this.

Johan Larsson.
Out of contract since 1 Jan.
Swedish international
Hes a hybrid of Henrik Larrson and Johan Mjalby both did alright over here so he would too.
Plus he's got a great you tube compilation just to keep FS happy.
Get Flareybob to get this one sorted out for us.With hodson doing his hamstring, we are REALLY up against it now regarding defenders, we can moan all day about letting certain players go but what is done is done, surely we will be looking into free agent market.

Think he enjoyed the party a wee bit too much. The striking partnership between him and the Hawk that day was superb . Really thought Isma should have achieved more . -
I remember that being asked. He pretty much said he'd keep them though suggested that SMISA might want to buy all shares including the ones with the fans. He said that would be down to SMISA to vote on.
71%
GLS was keeping 8% back in the original proposal. Something which I questioned at the time. Now looks like his 8% is on the table for kibble. -
I cant make it on Thursday. I do hope someone makes it along to establish 'what's in it for them'.
I contacted SMiSA to check whether the meeting will be recorded and made available to view for members unable to attend and I’m pleased to report that it will be.
Going to need to order more popcorn. -

Does the upturn in registrations reflect new members to SMISA or is it just existing members finally registering?
Got my reply...
Vote will be same as a normal SMISA vote via Very Connect system which has recently seen an upturn in registrations -
Yeah I got told on wednesday by a guy I play football with that Kibble had bought 51% of st mirren.
He knew a guy that worked there and was just off the phone to him.Just listening to Off the Ball - they’re reporting Kibble proposal as a done deal - the power of PR?
Beat me to it EK -
Ah right.
Smisa hold a batch of shares but I am sure a lot of individual fans would like to be shareholders in their own right and be able to vote at the AGM -
Eh? Are SMISA not the fans?
If Smisa sell their current 30% to the fans it can buy the GS shares next year WITHOUT the Kibble input -
This puts him right back into the massive c**t category. [emoji22]

The irony runs a lot deeper.Having a little time to reflect on this I wish Paul every success if, as expected he goes. He has done a great job for Saints.
There is irony in that Hibs current need has been exacerbated by an injury to an ex St Mirren player.
Getting injured players back in first team contention is important as is bringing in reinforcements which strengthen the team.
We don't seem, so far, to have managed to move on Cody, Danny or Djorkaeff. If we don't, then our need for cash in to help fund extra players will be paramount. Imo
Hibs need him to replace the guy that was called into our first team ahead of him causing him to leave to the place where he first met up with the manager who is now looking to sign him for the second time even though the manager has never once picked him in a starting 11. The manager has also sold the guy before now.
If he leaves before the end of the season he will no doubt be the only McGinn to not have won a medal with us. Must be awkward at the dinner table.

You sure its celtic? Going by his brothers twitter posts he is of the other persuasion.
Anyway hope he manages a recovery, seems to have set back after set back unfortunately.Celtic supporter. He has St Mirren supporters within his family though. -
Aye definitely one that gives me mixed feelings.
He can frustrate the hell out me, but has become a bit of a cult hero with his important goals. Generally always gives us his all.Not a good feeling reading that. Danny gives everything for the team. Worth keeping. -
Aye, and because of Jacks respect for Jim and his adoration for our club we would be to trust him 100%.
No chance of skullduggery there.Jim would have talked to Jack Ross about this player and will be in a great place to make a solid judgment. -
