Comments about Mehmet being 31 and "nomadic" are irrelevant. The player he reminds me of is Jimmy Bone who was 29 when he came to Love Street and had been with 5 clubs in the preceding 10 years. Like Mehmet he was not an out and out striker and was one of the best players at holding the ball up for the rest of the attack.

Didn't take you long to change your tune, one win against the team adrift at the bottom and things are a lot rosier

No one is questioning those guestimates were wrong but it's still not an excuse for the like of Dickson to basically laud the fact that the global drop in oil prices is causing thousands of Scots to lose jobs on a monthly basis and billions to be wiped off share prices and pension funds. The UK has no economy to speak of. The Tories are being propped up economically off the back of consumer spending fuelled by record low interest rates that are simply not sustainable. They know the minute interest rates start to rise the country will be drowning in a see of debt and their extension of policies like right to buy and 1st time buyers schemes is only going to make that worse. It will all explode in their face as soon as interest rates rise. But hey we still have that age old Brittish distraction tactic of a wee bombing campaign somewhere.

Yeah except you didn't answer my question so it obviously wasn't that simple. I'll try again.
Why is it "their" cash flow was my question. Should be simple enough?
This is the bit where you suggest starving the club of cash. Divert, stem, starve. All has the same meaning.
Take cash away from the club, and what? What's the end game there einstein ?

I'm going to games and supporting the team, same as I always do. I don't go to games to cheer or jeer the board, I go to support the team.
    That's what I'm doing.
The board have made mistakes recently. The appointment of Tommy Craig, the decision to not really replace him properly and it looks like the decision to appoint Ian Murray have all been mistakes.
I weigh that up against all the good things they have done for the club over the years too.
I can't forget the fact that we have a new stadium, a dedicated training complex, no debt, had 8 years of top flight football, three cup finals, two cup wins, one title win.
Of course people like you will say that was nothing to do with the board.
You can't have it both ways though.
So yes, I do have a lot of time for the board. I won't apologise for that.
It is time for the board to change though. The club needs new energy and new leadership. I hope that SMiSA & Gordon Scott can pull off their bid.
Talk of "starving the club of cash" is absolute f**king madness though.
As for "twising your words" did you or did you not state "The only way that lot will act is if their cash flow is stemmed or diverted, anyone got the bottle for that?"
You tell me who THAT LOT are and why it is "THEIR CASH FLOW" ?

    "Their cash flow" ?
I think you mean the cash flow of the football club.
The directors, as you know, don't take a salary from the football club, but do, quite regularly, pitch in their own money to keep the show going.
    I know you know that.
Anyway, how about YOU actually DO something instead of constantly asking other folk to do something.
If YOU want to organise a protest against the board. DO IT.

M9 accident. Oh fs, just seen the news
Don't miss an opportunity to put the boot into Police Scotland , get Ahmed Anwar on the case, load the claim for compo barrel.
A tragedy all round , now Holyrood are kicking it all across the place.
One thing not oft reported, this accident would never have happened if the driver wasn't breaking the law in the first place. The driver never has a driving licence and consistently therefore broke the law ore years. He was too busy to sit his driving test but no matter, he was "a good driver"
I'm probably the sicko here for talking I'll of the dead, but there is more than just Police Scotland errors applicable here, something very very wrong here.
The point that the guy broke the law and it's his own actions that contributed to his and his girlfriend demise is irrelevant?
    I'm missing something here.

Serious question, Are you really that stupid, or is it all a act cos really your a boring wee lonely man or woman, I don't understand why you want to down your supposedly own club, Not just you but certain others, Anytime SMISA or The Fans Council or the Club try and do something to help the club, people like you are on right away to moan or belittle people who are trying their best to help the club they love, Maybe im getting old and don't understand this is something that is done now in football to destabilise your own club, Anyway the name change sounds ok and at a club like ours every penny is a prisoner,

I've had Lord Pityme on ignore for the last few months, so only see his posts when they are re-tweeted.
My forum life is infinitely better for it.
Purpose of the post was not to unduly raise expectations, but simply to say that things are still progressing.
That information came from Gordon Scott himself who I spoke to at half time on Saturday so I'll leave the forum to decide if it might be accurate or not.
I'm very happy to leave SMiSA and Gordon to decide when it's time to update everyone on where it's all at and I'm sure they will when they have something concrete to say.

Please don't attempt to speak for how the rest of us might respond to Div's post. I, for one, am quite happy to hear that there appears to be some mileage in this yet, but I won't be wetting my knickers in excitement, so don't be worrying overly about that.
I know Div well enough to trust that he is sharing what limited info he has in good faith. I imagine many on here will be of a similar view. Perhaps if you spent less time shit stirring and craving attention, people might be inclined to regard you in a similar light. Not that I would wish to speak for anyone else, of course.

When I was young Coats Amateur FC used to play on the football which was between the wall and the canal basin just in front of the Ferguslie Mill. The changing rooms were in the old stable block which has since been converted into mews cottages.

Why make this announcement now, when the drone strike took place last month? Is it an attempt to divert attention from Cameron's failure to attempt to deal with the refugee crisis over the past few years and his continual conflation of the number of EU citizens moving to the UK with the numbers seeking asylum?
There was an interesting piece on Call Kaye on Radio Scotland this morning, when a Syrian living in Aberdeen since 2013 and working in the oil industry applauded the drone strike but made the point that Bashir al-Assad has been responsible for many more deaths of ordinary Syrians than the so-called Islamic State; indeed 3 of his relatives died in Syrian prisons.
I think that, despite all of the info available to us, few of us have any real idea of what is happening in the Middle East.

Wow, weren't you up early to fire the machine gun at the world!
I don't expect a non-critical stance taken by every poster / attendee at a Saints game, as I said in my original post everyone has a right to an opinion, especially if they have spent their well earned cash (Oaksoft apart) in attending.
My main point, which seems to have been supported by a few is that it's easy and popular for those who are perhaps well versed in 'Football Manager' or have maybe organised their son's / daughter's football side to become experts and highly critical of Managers, coaches and players never having got close to that standard themselves.
Yes they have an opinion, but the media in days gone by controlled the excesses of these opinions and as a result the constant negative rumblings never got the same amount of space or opportunity to spout relatively ill-informed opinions.
I would say that from watching Saints on Saturday they started very brightly, showed real promise for the first 25 minutes then they seemed to lose their way a bit. I might venture the opinion that they seem to lack confidence or that when a bit of adversity comes along they seem to lose shape, but I've seen lots of Saints teams do this, not just a DL, TC, GT or IM version.
I went to watch the Saints in the1960's and 70's and a lot of it wasn't a pretty sight. There were many passengers in the side at times, there was a total lack of conviction and there were very occasional bright spots, but did I write to the newspapers with a diatribe about how crap they were, no, I turned up again and again, no matter how sh*te they were and continued to support them. That was almost a decade of poor fare.
My post was described as "pretentious sh*t"..................... I could take a slight exception to that, in fact when I read it I probably did, but I do believe that the internet has opened up an avenue for anyone and anything to post what they want and believe it is true.

Politics in Scotland has become what it is, due to decades of neglect from both ruling parties in Westminster, sir, and it may surprise you to know that the biggest catalyst in the drive towards the current political climate, was one Lady Margaret Thatcher, that democratic, understanding, listening, all encompassing leader of the party you purport to be best for Britain.
If there was ever a more self-centred, devious, twisting politician, who disregarded even her own kind in Cabinet, and most definitely ALL the people of Scotland, then I would be glad if you could enlighten me. Your crusade on here is typical of the have's disregarding the have nots, for their own political and financial ends.
Can you really stand up and feel proud of the list Cameron has put forward for membership of the House of Lords?
The rise of the SNP and other smaller parties will continue until local people feel more in control of their own destinies. Toryism is every bit as bad and corrupt at all levels of politics as any other political persuasion, and until you face up to that reality, you will undoubtedly remain the butt of others amusement on here.
Attention seeking seems to be your goal, so dive in there, sir, and carry on the good work of reducing your party in Scotland to numbers in-sufficient to fill St. Mirren's mini-bus!
