  1. I understand why clubs do it but it sticks in my craw that clubs in Scotland have to stoop so low. I have a mate who is/was heavily involved with Albion Rovers and know how much effort has been put into keeping them going. We are hardly in the same boat though, after all we've got money to pay off ex Managers etc. anyways, not a situation I like for the club I support. I'd rather we gave them heehaw tickets but there's not a cat in hell's chance of that happening
  2. this has nothing to do with balancing the books. I seem to recall the justification was the extra would go to the playing budget next season. Personally, I am a firm believer in cutting the cloth & living within your means. If I was trying to balance the books, I wouldn't be relying on whoring my club to either Rangers or Celtic & I most certainly wouldn't partake in f**king such an important element of the fan base off. football in Scotland is morally bankrupt. St Mirren aren't the only club willing to bend over for Glasgow's gruesome twosome but that doesn't make it any easier to take when our BoD decide to whore the club for a few extra quid. anyways, I look forward to the posts {as I said} of the post match postings of what an enjoyable day was had & how everything went fine. I shan't hold my breath though.
  3. Morally bankrupt for a few dollars more. I reckon there's a few of the non drama queens who accept this "because of the money" won't go near Ibrox because of the Rangers matchday experience of bile, intolerance & hatred & bigotry. How f**king cheap are we that St Mirren whore's its family stand" for a couple of few dollars more. What's done is done, I look forward to the post match posts from the non drama queens declaring what a fine day they've had. How confident are you right now that everything will be hunky dory & this has been a storm in a Bovril cup?
  4. Historically, the players tend to go round the ground after their last match thanking the supporters for all their support over the season. St Mirren will have a quick jog left to right, Job done. Pile of shite
  5. how cheap they think they can buy the South Stand Season Ticket holders for. A tenner and a video. Only in Scotland would a football club piss all over it's supporters clubs in these type of circumstances. This is the prime example that supports their bragging that Rankers & Septic bankroll Scottish football. Cram as many of them in and to f**k with our own fans. The cost of loyalty, eh!
  6. there's a lot of St Mirren fans who decline to go to Ibrox when we play there because of the negative matchday experience. Why would we invite that into our own ground?
  7. Dear Raging, We've got your money. f**k you & f**k off. We couldn't give a monkeys chuff how long you have supported the club and we certainly don't give a flying f**k when you've supported the club through thick & thin. Have we told you yet, go f**k yourself. Best Wishes the board Mystified that the Board could even contemplate this but then again, they took it up the shitter from Celtic in the preseason when they rebranded the stadium for a few dollars more. I think the appropriate thing to do would be for as many season ticket holders to go to the game with those from the Family stand asking to be relocated into the main stand {for the inconvenience}. Get into the stadium nice & early, make a lot of noise and the moment the match kicks off, walk out. That would make a more meaningful statement of GIRFUY to The Board. They read these forums don't they? Perhaps, the strength of feeling on this may persuade them they've f**ked up and they reserve the decision. I said in some other thread when this kind of scenario was brought up, switch it to their ground, let as many of the cunts in as they like but St Mirren keeps the gate. a f**king shower of shite.
  8. How disrespectful of Ranieri, sending his team out, match after match, to try & win. Especially against the "big clubs" instead of trying to sneak a draw here & there. A Leicester/Spurs top 2 (either way round) will be cracking. Hoping Leicester win the league
  9. James at Brixton Academy in May. Brixton Academy is one of the best music venues in the country.
  10. Luckily, from last time, less this time around hence the saving. I cannot imagine getting any better a deal next time as the current 0.5% base rate is the lowest I can ever recall.
  11. just changed my mortgage {same lender} onto a new fixed deal. Saving £150 per month as the interest rates avaialble today are a lot less than when I took out the old fixed rate. In 5 years time, i'll switch again. On the BTL, when I moved to London in 1986, I couldn't afford to buy a place so let a house with 3 friends rather than stay in a halls of residence. There remains a huge market for BTL properties in & around London, without which, many folk would have to commute from alot further afield than they have to. majority of folk are happy with that.
  12. Not too late to change the membership. The original £60 "Founding Member" gets your name on the wall {as planned} Open up the membership to 1877 lifelong members at £60 per head would be {1877 - Founder members Numbers} would roughly be 1577 {if there are 300 FM's} at £60 each realising £94620. Once 1877 is reached, ordinary membership at a nominal fee each year to cover cost of membership card, admin costs + a wee bit of profit. Open the doors at 12:00 and have it 1st come, 1st served. when full, 1 out 1 in and if capacity is never reached, Contact opposition supporters buses offering a supporters bar offering welcoming facilities {with the reported rise in football hooliganism, that might need risk assessing but I would like a matchday environment where home & away supporters can mix together, share & enjoy the banter & make their way home after a good day at the football} Locally, I've drank in Dagenham & Redbrdiges supporters bar, always welcomes away supporters, charges non members £1 on the door, never any grief. large screen shows football & everyone gets on with having a drink pre & post match.
  13. The club has sterilised the positive intentions by sending the season ticket holders buddie to another stand. Therefore, it is not a positive at all. {We may be wrong and we'll find out at the match by seeing how "full" the north stand gets. They've still got time to fix this. They don't even need to say "chap's we've f**ked up again^ a simple "thanks to supporters suggestions, we've had a rethink" 2 options are Unreserved seating in the Westbank, sit where you like {inconveniences season ticket holders who want to keep their seat for this game} or Season Ticket holders & Buddie into the North stand & leave QOTS in Weststand.
  14. Lets state the bleedin obvious QOTS into the North Stand & Bring a Buddie & try fill up the Westbank where season ticket holders could sit beside however many Buddies they bring. och, at least they're trying I suppose
  15. Does anyone expect to question the shops where they buy their groceries where they spend your dough? Dr Mr Tesco, I bought bread last week at Tesco in Paisley Why haven't you asked me if I am ok with you opening another Tesco express with the % of profit you made on the bread you sold me? Yours A disgruntled supporter of your stores Dear Mr Haddows, I've spent a fortune in your stores over the years on beer & wine but you've now decided to sell Carling. You never asked me my opinion on this, why not? Yours. A disgruntled customer.
  16. I don't disagree and my preferred model is open to all and 1 out 1 in when capacity is reached. I've said so a few times but here & now, this is the model on offer. I have bought into it in the hope, my small contribution goes someway in getting the opening of a supporters bar realised. To date that is happening. After the initial burst of enthusiasm for it, if it looks likely that the membership needs reconsidering, once again, I will suggest Open to all, 1st come 1st served and 1 out 1 in. I'll inform the FC when I will be using the bar and in between, they'll be able to let another non member in as that's by booking in advance. I hope that makes sense.
  17. The purchase of a season ticket entitles you to entry to X games, not have an entitlement to deciding how club money is spent. I've subscribed to the bar, not because I'll use it {I live in London} but because I've bought into the idea of it. I fully expect the entry criteria &/or membership criteria to change at sometime in the future. I'll support whatever change necessary to keep the bar open. The more that can use & do use it, the better. I wouldn't say I've been "ripped off. I got told the cost {as did everyone else} and I decided I'd pay that cost.
  18. Of course not. Mine would read For Sale 1 Dummy Spat once
  19. I look forward to seeing your thread demanding "Ban XXX" because they used abusive language Can I hold my breath? For Sale 1 Pram 1 bunch of toys 1 offended owner
  20. I understand your point alright. I don't agree with your selectiveness. I'll refer you to your opening line in the original post. I understand also, the context in which SD has used the term Natsi and whilst, it is not a term I would use, I don't find it as offensive as you do but unlike you, I am not affected by anything anyone says on these forums. You have singled SD out, despite your protestations. I agree, SD makes it easy for folks to single him out, he makes no attempt to hide & he appears to have a few forum fishing rods. He uses them well, as others use theirs well too. As far as I can see, he has not committed a crime unless posting strong opinions is now a crime. I get that you don't like the term Natsi & are offended by it but, it's not on any list of banned words that I know of, otherwise, someone would have reported him to the word police for his use of it. Funnily enough, Stuart doesn't claim credit for it's introduction to the forum but it's touched a nerve with a few. Perhaps some nerves are a wee bit too raw. If everyone who posted something that someone found offensive got banned, this forum would consists of less folk than are eligible to get in the supporters bar when it opens.
  21. . Of course not! That's an optical illusion then. oh hold on SD?? you haven't asked for anyone else to be banned from the site for posting offensive language. There's plenty at it. If you want to be offended, be offended but why not take offense at all offensive language? Unless your style is to be selective in who you want to be offended by or get banned.
  22. Clearly you fail to see the point i was making. The OP's opening gambit is about "offensive language" Some folk get offended by the slightest thing, even being called a twat. Are you getting my point yet! We agree on 1 thing though, neither of us gets offended by these things. Personally, i take any abuse at me as a compliment.
  23. why have you singled out one person? There's plenty folk on here who continually post abusive language and/or personal abuse but you don't mind what they write? Seen a few folk call others Cunts/Wankers/Twats/Dickheads etc, all in many a folks vocabulary, less savoury than a the play on words that Natsi is. I'm unaffected as both sides sling as much mud at each other as they like, i'll filter out the shite from the useful info. However, credibility is lost when a participant calls foul when struck by a wee bit of mud & they've got their hands dirty too.
