  1. Just watched a story here in New Zealand on the News the other night and the started of by saying that in a few months Scotland votes on a referendum regarding it's Independence. They then said have a look at this and proceeded to show the outfit (if we can call it that) that the Scottish athletes will be sporting at the opening ceremony of the games. And then finally commented by saying "after wearing that the rest of the UK will probably say good riddance". For a wee country that has given so much to the rest of the world and was once respected especially down here in the antipodes we have become an even bigger joke than ever thanks to this awful mess. I think once WE give Englandshire total control they will once again ban the wearing of the tartan and after this debacle even I would commend that ruling.......what a disgrace. ........Heid held in shame Just hope The Scotland team can still wear the blue and Saints the Black & White, We have to have something to remind us of who we were....
  2. Poz Ma Man that is a wee stoater of a shirt ......................all I wanted was us to put our money where ours mouths were and come up with some suggested alternatives to the crap our glorious team are being asked to play in make me proud to be a buddie. This is a good start keep them coming.....
  3. JJ you could have put a deposit on the club for that amount.... second thoughts you might have got it lock stock and barrel
  4. And for those of you who like a little Yellow hey presto.....
  5. Here is a little more detail of how the proposed away strip would look..................this is more fun than watching Andy Murray getting wallied
  6. As I said Rick I'm no artist hopefully my second effort is more to your liking. I too believe stripes is who we are so enjoy
  7. Ok take two........................Could this be getting near the perfect Kit ?
  8. Aye they are Tc well done But even dressed up Germany strips would certainly look more like us than the things they will be wearing......I think I'll do a few more suggestions the more we come up with the somebody in high place might finally click
  9. I have attached an alternate home and away kit needs a wee bit of tweaking I'm no artist ...it's.based on....... I wonder if you'll guess Anyway this is my first ever topic start albeit based on another thread Just wanted to suggest we look at ways of guiding our board on what we the fans like in the way of saints kits. Love or hate this suggestion of mine it's a start. How about putting up your ideas maybe we can influence what happens in future selections and maybe even JD or whoever the kit supplier might choose one of ours. Hit me with the usual saints banter with bouquets and brickbats all welcomed. I'm a bigboy
  10. Who's for an away game somewhere close to home ummmm like against our one and only professional team The Wellington Phoenix and maybe the New Zealand National team.......I'd come to those games.......C'mon yeh no ye want tae
  11. So glad you had the vid of the 3-2 victory at Love St on the 18th Sept 99. That was my first trip back to Scotland since my family emigrated to NZ in 69 yep 30yrs since I saw the buds live, what made it even more special was that my son who was born in NZ was at his first ever Buddies game and against Morton Also it was at the time where if we won the title (And I understand we were favoured to be relegated that year)we would have to go all seater stadium for premier aspiration. I had been gifted tickets to sit in the stands with my son but by then I had reconnected with my old mates Jake, Ally, and Col so we gladly walked into the park with them at the love st end and stood on the embankment to soak up the patter and the banter, A day I will cherish, my Son loved the atmosphere and the game was a cracker. And we ended the campaign as Championnesss ....oh great memories Thanks AT
  12. Naw you've got your sports mixed up they only use the sheep when the Englanders bring their cricket team here...the sheep join their fans to make up the rest of what they call the Baaaaaaaaa.......lmy army
  13. It's funny living way down here in NZ and seeing familiar Saints names appearing on team sheets for teams in the Hyundai A League...Such as Steven McGarry who now plays for Perth Glory and used to play along side ex fellow Saint Billy Mehmet who has now moved onto an indain club called Dempo and they were both managed by 87 Cup Legend goal scorer Ian Ferguson who left after a poor showing in Feb this year. I heard he moved back to UK ? and Finally Aaron Mooy an ex Aussie Saint who is now back in the land down under with Western Sydney Wanderers. On a side note to be honest it's a little hard to see some of the attendances we get at the new St Mirren Park when the teams down here get great support anywhere from 10 to 18 thousand each week.... maybe it's because it's all a little new down here good quality fitba but I would love to see our wee ground a little fuller. And hey it's not a bad place to scout out some new potential Saints.... ......Maybe an off season trip for the Darlin Buds down here would be a good thing.....It would be for me anyway I'd get my whole extended family there so thats a guaranteed crowd of around 32 as long as it was played in New Zealand lol
