  1. I dunno the ins and outs but I think that's fair enough and if it's pishing rain. I'll be doing the same, if we get the ok!
  2. Sadly, it's not sk simple, as I understand it. The club can't be seen to be giving preferential treatment to a bidder looking to buy it out. And it would be deemed unfair and uncompetitive to aquiesce fans when they are a captive audience. However anyone can hand out flyers on the street
  3. Ok so, we are unlikely to be able to get into the ground early and put the leaflets on seats. Therefore, we will need to hand them out at the turnstiles as people enter. We will therefore meet at 1.30 at the buy a brick wall of fame, between the ticket office and main entrance. From there we'll divvy up the leaflets and get to the turnstiles in time for them opening at 2pm. Who's up for being part of getting the word out to the rest of the fans?
  4. That just won't happen LS. 10000hrs is not St Mirren, it is a company trying to buy St Mirren. It'd be uncompetitive and just wrong for 10000hrs to acquiesce the customers of the company it is trying to take over whilst they are a captive audience and twist their arm (as it would be seen) to support the bid. It can't be done this way.
  5. Next time, I'm sure! I appreciate my online anonymity...
  6. Ok great! If its all in the pipeline then I'm happy to simply turn up and hand em out! Anything that needs done, I can be free all day Friday if need be See you there.
  7. Could folks do 13.30 to get them on seats? I'll see if we can get in at that time?
  8. Oh yeah, that I did see... Very nice suit jacket Sid had on
  9. You'd get a club that is owned and governed by the fans offering a real say in how it runs and making sure it is safe for the next 100 years
  10. If this can be done in time for Sat, I'll work to do it! I guess this is one way to get the ball rolling! Poz, can you put something together? We can get it to REA to get it printed... If Div can forward it onto the email list too then we can get the word out...! I'll be there and up for doing it. I'll even coordinate if need be So, who's up for handing out 10000hrs leaflets at the next match?
  11. We'd be mental not to do it! Which pretty much sums up buddiecool
  12. He served Poz, didn't see him serving you...
  13. As Somner9 found out yesterday, manage users, ignore users, click, bliss
  14. I think the problem some buds have is that those folks wouldn't be elected. They would be drafted in until elections etc could take place. We don't know who they are or what they'd do... I for one don't have that issue. I'd bet that those drafted in would be the like of SG or GLS and maybe a couple of existing CiV folks, then maybe one community member rep and one corporate. They probably all be St Mirren fans and/or existing directors. They'd only be in for an initial period of time the elections would happen. I agree with you, I think it'd be better to have those who know that they are doing in at the start.
  15. No idea on the ins and outs. Potentially yes, do people have to be named when the company is being set up? If so, I'm almost certain that if we are not happy with who they are, we can call an EGM type affair and elect them out and others in. The point being, who? Someone will have to do it for the first 6 (?) months and so better to be those who know thier arse from their elbow, surely?
  16. Cos it's his picture as avatar too, I imagine that also.
  17. And I think that's totally fair enough bud. All I would say is that the shares are on sale and it's almost guaranteed that no-one would buy them without taking on debt to do so. That debt would then be passed to the club on its assets or paid back by drawing a wage from the club. Ok that's not the only way to do it, but the most likely... With the CiC there is a way to pay the debt back that is much safer to the club and it's assets. The debt would never touch the club. Alongside that, again, the shares will be sold, would you not rather they were sold to a company that you had a stake in and that would ultimately pass the shares it owns onto you proportionally to what you pay to be a member? That way you have the chance of having a say in the club even up to board level. You have shares that are yours, within the CiC/co-op, and the club is more secure that of it was bought by Joe Bloggs using RBS's money...
  18. Hehe!!! He said tonight, "I bet he'll accuse me of stealing his ideas." yes, you got a mention bud
  19. I think for the most part that seems to have been ok'd. The real benefit for corporate members was always the affiliation scheme, which technically would still exist... The corporate board stuff, which was always a sticking point for some, was just an add-on really. What matters, I'd imagine, to corporate members is the capacity to be affiliated with the town buying the club, the client base that comes with it, the chance to network and spread the net wider. That's just my take anyway...
  20. My preferred chairman would be whoever would do the best job for the club. That may be GLS, he has stated that he in on board with the CiC concept, so maybe he'd be the best person...!
  21. One for the CiC, which will operate as a co-op, one member one vote, the assets of which (52% shareholding) will be member owned, proportional to what you put in, once the debt is paid, and one for the club. Equalling two. Only one for the CiC.
  22. Yes in theory. However the boards (CiC and club) probably won't actually be the same board as there will be people on the board currently (GLS?) who are not 10000hrs members but who do a great job and probably want to stay on. It'd be stupid for 10000hrs tk kick those people, with experience etc, off the club board cos they want all their elected members on...
