  1. Reborn Saint - some turnaround he's had over the last few months, all because it takes longer than expected. WTF? Stu- Put it this way, he'll never be uncovering the next big scandal for the Guardian. He's been negative about the whole thing since day one but has yet to contribute anything other than the petty jibes at RA&Co, certainly nothing though provoking. Animal / Yul - Needs to grow a set of balls. I'm pretty sure RA knows exactly who this person is. Rising to the bait is exactly what this person is looking for. Unsubstantiated nonsense is not worth engaging with. Slapsalmon - Some interesting and well thought out points, but I disagree on the corporate point. The corporate membership thing is a bit different and sure it may be a bit of a risk for some businesses to cough up 10k for what they percieve to be little in return. But, on the other hand it may be a great networking opportunity for other organisations. Business is built around networking these days and believe me £10k is peanuts for "social spend" in many organisations. Only time will tell if it works. Div - Fully agree with post 2090. I've not committed to the CIC as yet. I do think there are some flaws in the system, but some of the rubbish and mischief posted on here is beyond belief and certainly unmeritted.
  2. SO its someone IN the media then? Why not post it on twitter? Apparently thats the way to get round confidentiality these days
  3. Also straight from Leeann Dempster, Either she has her numbers of tiers wrong or there ain't no community membership.
  4. Since this thread is no longer reserved for Q&A, there is a difference between letting people see the business plan and publishing it openly on an internet forum for the world to see. Saintsfan has been offered the chance to meet personally with those who created the plan and has declined. It appears he has no interest on the content but rather in upsetting the process.
  5. Good post Steve. I think it's a bit disrespectful and a bit presumptuous that St Mirren will charge in and re-brand or take over Glasgow ladies. For any partnership to work there has to be good relationships and I would suggest some of the guff on here could put these people off such a link up. Show them the respect they are due.
  6. Looks like Animal doesn't want to know the details, just incase they don't suit his agenda.
  7. Same person -not plural Imagine having to create duplicate personas to give any weight to your cause.
  8. The Priory awaits. What you fail to mention is that the 900 share holders have NO (worthwhile) say in what happens. The selling consortium can railroad ANY decision they see fit provide it complies with legislation. Having a nominal shareholding in a football club gives absolutely NO power to those involved. 400 folk having a say in proceedings as apposed to 5 folk - Ye, that makes fans have less of an influence . I think the Animal/Yul should go back to the zoo where he belongs.
  9. So, are you going to share what you "have?"
  10. Yet more evidence that you aren't really interested in the future of club but rather your own standing in this online community. If you withhold significant information on the situation you are every bit as much to blame as any perpetrator....... But then again, I doubt you "have" anything.
  11. You started off pretty well but the last paragraph just killed it. You claim not to have an agenda and only want what is best for the club. But then you claim to "have" some negative information, but won't share it with others yet. That doesn't appear to be someone looking out for the club. It appears more that someone who is intent on releasing information at a time to suit your personal agenda. Tell us what you "have" now or piss off.
  12. What do the accounts have to do with a journalist?
  13. Anyone who is complaining about this is menacing. There is no other possible explanation.
  14. They should be handing out CIC enrolement forms at the turnstyle on Saturday, get their bank details pronto. Taking advantage of the feel good factor would get them to their quota in no time at all.
  15. Uh, go on. Anyway your services won't be required becuause we'll still be in the SPL next season.
  16. Because I have no desire to watch 18 games of 1st division football. It doesn't make me any less of a potential customer though. Like you said previously, "everyone makes life choices." But for sections of the support to then insult people who make such choices is not conducive to increasing long term fan base. Every paying customer should be welcome, in the hope that they decide to return on a more regular basis. The club relies on an awful lot more people than just the "die hard" fans, it's time people realised that.
  17. Animal doesn't know what day of the week it is, just ignore him. Regarding the bits in bold, I don't think I ever said I wouldn't attend any games, I only said I wouldn't renew my season ticket. If you think either situation is "spoilt brat" behaviour then that is just another example of what I was talking about last night, potential customers not being accepted by sections of the support. You should never burn bridges in business.
  18. Unfortunately those who should be encouraged to spend their money on SMFC don't feel the same. Hence part of the reason for such small crowds. Let's hope the CIC does what it is intended to do, but some fans' attitudes may have to change to allow this.
  19. Indeed, and that is why football clubs need to do more to persuade people that their product is better than Xscape / rugby / basketball / skiing / go ape..... I'm not convinced. But for what it's worth, I see very motivated individuals, such as RA, in the CIC who are trying to do this. I suppose it's a chicken and egg situation. It doesn't help when significant sections of the support have a stereotype of the ideal St Mirren fan and don't easily accept or respect those who don't conform. There's a lot of work still to be done.
  20. But it is possible to be a passive St Mirren supporter. I can safely say that if St Mirren were to be relegated I would not renew my season ticket, never mind spend an additional £120. Why? Because I've got many other interests in life which matter just as much, if not more than SMFC. I don't blindly spend money on things that aren't really that important to me. Does that make me less of a St Mirren supporter? You decide, but I don't really care what conclusion you reach. The implementation of the CIC is heavily based on a feel good factor and positivity to attract members to sign up. At the end of the day it is a sales pitch. Anyone who doesn't believe this is seriously deluded.
  21. N while your at it board up the Hogsned too (again with the customers still inside).
  22. It's Saturday night, busiest night of the week. So,quick, someone do us all a favour and board the place back up with all those f**kers inside. Paisley would improve tenfold if it were to happen.
  23. C'mon Norwich!!!
