  1. Whether I agree with what any church (happy clappy or otherwise) does is irrelevant. Unless they are directly having a negative effect on other individual fans, I don't see what harm they are doing (anyone?). The same goes for any other organisation using our facilities.
  2. It seems some people see St Mirren as some sort of elitist organisation and have no desire to see the fan base rise. It's pretty sad the there is such a high level of intolerance within our support. Hardly a good foundation for a community club
  3. They could always build an athletics track around the car park.
  4. Wake me up when something of interest is said by the club. There are becoming experts at making statements which say...well...nothing. A taxi firm owner, just what the club needs, cheap taxis.
  5. Animal, grow a pair and pick up the phone. I remember when I was 12, I used to get nervous when I had to phone someone that I didn't know, I would get all mixed up and stutter. Is that how it is for you?
  6. The Hamilton chairman really is a cock.

You're not wrong. He was on extolling the virtues of the new 'Championship'. Sounds as though he's given up hope of staying up already.

He used similar techniques to those he employs when 'negotiating' with rival tax i firms.

Indeed it is welcome. But as I said, it's not an achievement, or at least it shouldn't be.

  13. Too many pints. Please accept my profound apologies for such a mistake, I will endevour not to make such a gross error again. You clearly understand the content of my post, what was the need in pointing out a typo? Does it make you feel really intellegent? If you're that sad and bored, why don't you go through the full archive of the forum and count how many spelling errors you can find, and check for grammar while you're at it. Actually, why don't you just trawl the full WWW looking for typos, it seems that is your calling in life.
  14. That is the aspect I find most annoying about Danny's time in charge (not the performance on the park). Many fans appear to be gullable and be appeased by his "open managerial approach." It's not possible to be transparent in the world of football management, everyone has a motive and anyone who says otherwise is lying. I would more often than not suggest his style is manipulative. Call me a cynic if you want, but that is the conclusion I have come to. The abridged version for those who can't read a full paragraph He's ripping the hole out the fans and people don't see it.
  15. Keep telling yourself that. You clearly havce the intelect of most St Mirren and indeed football fans. Should the position become available, iI was offering a suggestion, as someone else had previously asked for. If you were to ask me who I rated as the better manager, the answer would be easy, but it doesn't mean I won't support St Mirren under Lennon.
  16. At Hampden Gus set up his team in a formation that worked outstandingly against Rangers. Short of puting the ball in the net himself there was nothing else Gus could have done to help us win. If anyone let us doen that day, it was the players, but i prefer not to look at it that way as these things happen in sport. For the record I have never put it in writing on this board that i wanted Lennon sacked. I merely stated who a suitable replacement would be at this time. WHo said I didn't support the current manager? Shame on you.
  17. You are just another emample of how St Mirren fans know no loyalty. Given what he did for our club, he deserved loyalty for the fans. He had never let us down and yet individuals like yourself turned on him, for what are clearly personal issues. Shame on you. The club is better without supporters like that.
  18. Why did things have to change? DO you remember the previous 15 years when we were hovering between mid and bottom of the 1st divisison. You can believe what you want, but, at the end of the day Gus has a proven track record. Lennon doesn't.
  19. On the contrary. I have consistantly stated the club were wrong to get rid of Gus MacPherson, and current evidence suggests that may be correct but only time will tel (do we have time though?)l. So, if you want to talk about "revolving door views" maybe you should direct your comments to those who called for the sacking of St Mirren's most successful manager in 2 decades. Thats what I call "nonsense" and "unrealistic" to use the words of others on here. It's ironic how people are now spreading the words "loyalty," "support," "100% behind the manager" and "being constructive." Think back 6 months and and look at the comments made by the very same people regarding our last (and most successful) manager. The loyalty of these people should be brought into question. I take it you're one of the flag flying spotty young Supra types? One day you might learn.
  20. So, where's this lack of sense you see in my suggestion, you still haven't pointed it out? Your silence is deafening.
  21. Yes, the majority of people on this forum certainly did during the successful Gus MacPherson era.
  22. If you won't explain what is unrealistic about my suggestion, at least explain what is not sensible. Over to you.
  23. What's so unrealistic about my suggestion? 1) An individual with an exemplary CV and proven track who is currently out of work. 2) A club in desperate need of an experienced manager who has been working successfully at SPL level for numerous seasons. It's a match made in heaven if you ask me.
