Indeed. Hardly the council's fault that what was a good pub became horribly run down.

That's it in a nutshell. As St Mirren fans, we have known for years that the sentiment behind the singing of the song is actually to display that we don't give a monkeys about either side of the Old Firm (deceased rivalry), and their sectarian bollocks, but if you're a family on a train with kids, all you know is that you are being subjected to 'fcuk the Pope and fcuk the Queen'.
If there's any place for this song still to be sung, and I don't believe there is any more - then the only place is at an actual match between St Mirren and one of 'them' - it certainly isn't on a train full of folk with kids just going about their business. The fact it isn't sung at games any more says it all really, it should have been allowed to fade away and stay away like I thought it had done.
I wonder if alcohol was involved.

That red strip looks horrendous. Can't say I'm a huge fan of the design, but I think a lot of that comes down the quality with which the design intent has been executed.
Everything about the strip is rotten. The quality is without doubt the worst I've ever seen. You could buy better quality fakes.
I don't take exception to the fans' council's design but I take excpetion to them posting that picture as if it is some kind of success. When they met with JD to view that prototype did no one turn round and say "what the fcuk is that shitte?" If the fans' council are happy with that then there's a fundamental problem with the oragnisation itself.
All in all it is on a par with last seasson's yellow strip.

Too late for "a step in the right direction" given that the scheme has already been launched and places filled, not to mention another 10 steps would be required before getting to anything remotely sensible, The already changing goalposts after only 3 days suggests that Davidg was correct, the whole thing was half baked.

It's great that the facility is being created, just a shame that they half arsed thought their way to a terrible proposal.

It raises cash for youth development, and it raises cash for Paisley GC, and it sees those taking part get a good deal for a breakfast roll & coffee, a round on a good course, a nice meal, and the intangible part that you can't put a monetary value on - getting to play with, and mingle with, players and staff of the club you support.
I don't see any losers in the golf day. In fact, it's a very successful event well thought-out by the Fan Council.
