Your reply is somewhat short on detail.

You appear to mis-remember the shitty events that lead Jack Ross to clamour for the first big pay packet waved at him.  You seem not to recall or have neglected to reference Jack attending the interview with Ipswich before hot tailing to the now Tory controlled land of the largely unemployed that is Sunderland.  His hasty appointment as boss of the English low league outfit was so hasty that I recall very clearly our board of directors not given given the common courtesy of a "heids up" from greedy Jack the utter back stabbing arsehole.  Also it is fair to say that the arsehole has not achieved much since dumping us in the shit has he?  It is a shit manager who cannot achieve mediocrity with the resources available at Hibs.  Remember the theft of our captain and the plundering of a number of other players from our club?  With all that he made a c**t of it.....yes lets have him back, f**king bra f**king vo (slow hand clap to emphasise the stupidity of the Jack Ross arse lickers).

Jack Ross is an arsehole.  People who vote Tory are arseholes and people who are unable to remember being taken for a c**t are destined to be life's victims.

So to sum up, Jack Ross can f**k off.

Not understanding the angst about this.
We've lost 2 in our last 10 and unbeaten in six. We're hardly on a dreadful run.
Saintees and Utd are unlikely to win their remaining games.
Top six will be confirmed before we even travel to Hamilton. St Johnstone will draw with Hibs and Utd will lose to or draw with Celtic.

At last people are starting to understand the smarmy character of Jack Ross. Good manager for us but never tested in the top league. Totally devoid of loyalty which I have no issue with as he has a living to make but I do have an issue with how he left the club and the timing of that. Yet we had a bus load of fans going down to Sunderland to worship him and boost his already massive ego. Surely recent events will end this man crush once and for all.

Dont think anyone will take away the joy from smaller clubs we all respect them. We all know our place in the food chain in the premiership.  Fact is we are I'll prepaid for the season starting which is very concerning.  Romours regarding we are skint will only grow unless quality come in concern will rightly grow.  Some can brush it off others take their football seriously.  Have been a regular since 1967 been in nearly every ground in Scotland and followed Saints 4 times to Europe. Have kept the season ticket going for years many years where could attend 7 games the whole season at most to support the club. What Stuart Gilmour and that board done was above the call of duty. Now I'm regretting taking out another season ticket will hardly make home games again due to work. For the this moment looks like mismanagement . Seen written we have been through 90 players since Gordon took over power in 3 years. Manager after manager is costing the club money we cant afford.  I wont give up SMISA or buddie vision including the season ticket it is a considerable cost, ofh aye the 1877 club also. Not a tantrum maybe shite English and bad spelling so feel free to have a swipe.  Really hope I'm wrong, I really do to me St Mirren look mismanaged at this time. SMISA I will keep on believe our club should be in safe hands. One Question though why is the SMISA representative on the board not communicate with fans rather that what looks and reads like a political prepared statement. The chosen one was voted in by the fans paying a monthly subscription for 10 years. If something is not right / or right  speak to the members give proper feedback. As I write will not give up SMISA but proper feed back is hugely lacking. Speak to members if it was not for members Y.O.U would not be there. SMISA needs to have members meeting. Rant over.

Selling him on for a decent profit is exactly what we should be aiming to do. Perfect strategy for a club our size.

We should bring back Gavin Reilly if possible. Far more likely to score the goals we need than Jackson or the duck last season

Christ guys, I know it's been a tough week but can we all just tone down the ridiculous, endless squabbling for a bit? It makes this place completely unbearable.
You wouldn't talk to each other in a pub - not sure why you can't just ignore folk you don't like in here.

As with Stubbs, the decision should be made not only based on results achieved so far, but on what results are likely to be achieved in the future.
You keep writing that you "don't care about the commute."
Forget about the commute itself, it is about commitment and about the stability of St Mirren. Kearney didn't put an end to the rumours of returning to Coleraine last season because he wanted that door still open. He went away on holiday and said he wouldn't commit to St Mirren until talking to his wife. In the meantime our assistant manager leaves to join a lower league club.
Now I don't know exactly what happened this week but it seems he now wants to move the goalposts again.
He simply isn't the most attractive candidate to be manager any more. The best decision for St Mirren is to get him out and get a new coach in.
Meanwhile we have managed to secure the signing of Popescu by the team GS has put in charge, who are fully committed to the club.
I'm backing Gordon Scott 100% on this call.
And Coleraine are still sitting without a manager two months later, why? Oran aint a Saint in more ways than one.

I understand the point that if results are good then who cares but it seems likely that the more time he’s away from the club something will suffer. Why take that chance?

In terms of his achievements I wouldn’t say he’s been great. He’s been decent given the circumstances.

If, and it’s a big if, things have gone down the way the two journos have described them he’s taking the piss IMO and it would seem obvious that something has been going on for some time hence Coleraine still not having a new man in place.

If we have to pay any compo to a guy, we had to effectively buy in the first place, after less than a year then we’re f**king mugs.

Yeah, its definitely 100% Scott's fault that Oran wanted to change the arrangement from last season, sold his house in Paisley, then conveniently decided he could no longer work with Scott when it turned out that the Coleraine job was back on the table. f**k sake, you don't like Scott, we get it,  but are you really so blind you can't see that the one person this all works out perfectly for is Kearney?

Flys back every Saturday night, meaning he can’t go to games on the Sunday to scout opposition etc.
I like OK but if he’s not willing (or able) to do 100% of what’s expected of him as manager of SMFC then it’s best for him to move on

I like looking at the forum but really some act like bullies who hide behind social media. This is a football forum where all opinions can be added but that is what they are opinions. No need for all the name calling. You don't know who writes their comment so before you write to tell that person what you think have a think yourself as to who is writing it. Could be a young boy who on here is being told he is a piece of f in crap a loser. What is written is open to all st mirren fans young and old bullying is not just for the playground. If you don't agree with a post then say I don't agree however ________

Well this is certainly going to be a big test of the supposed "stability" Gus has brought to the club.
These rumours have been going on for a long time now, they do destabilise the club, and I can see why GS would put down an ultimatum to Kearney to move over full time to Scotland. I can also fully understand and respect Kearney not wanting to take his kids out of school for a job where a bad run of results can see him out the door by Xmas.
As regards to Gus or the board "undermining the manager'? What exactly did people think the DoF role and the talk of the "moneyball" model would mean? It has been stated that any player should be scouted and watched multiple times before being signed. Did you really expect the club to employ Gus full time to oversee this & then let the manager just sign whoever he wants?
The manager & assistant manager need to fit in to the culture of the club, not the other way round.
I've been fairly critical of him until now but I would probably back Gordon Scott here. If OK is going to commit to St Mirren and buy in to how we are trying to structure the club then great. If not, then get him out the door and ask Goodwin or a similarly talented young manager to come in.
I am a bit more concerned pre season is about to start and we haven't brought any players in. Whits happened to the Moneyball?

Kearney's position should have been utter threat even without all the talk of backroom falling out. The majority of the season we were utterly awful, and our run towards the end wasn't full of massively convincing performances. We survived on penalty kicks. With an awful Hamilton team finishing above us and generally having the better of us. For me, he just didn't show enough tactical or man management skills to consistently get the team looking competitive on the park.

It's bizarre that Kearney didn't have a replacement for Rice or Nicol lined up for the end of the season, when one had gone, and he must have known the other was gone as well. That suggests that there's been some uncertainty for some time.

Scott doesn't have a great record with picking managers, but he's backed every single one that he's had in terms of bringing in players. Only Alex Rae hasn't been allowed to sign an entire new squad, and that's because he was already in place and unwanted.

The ideal situation is Coleraine or another Irish team give us some compensation for Kearney and we move in a different direction.

I have not been overly impressed y the quality of our kit and teamwear in recent years. I don’t understand why we haven’t thought about going down the route of what Dundee United or Hamilton do with Nike and Adidas? It would be top quality have street cred and sell much more.

Very much my thoughts. We take 4 points from the two games, then we only need to better their result once more.
I’m not looking back either. I think Dundee are rotten to the core...they didn’t seem together on Saturday.

Move the TV gantry.  This would re-introduce around 100 seats for St. Mirren supporters right on the half-way line.
