Today was yet another day of dissapointment as a saints fan. As someone mentioned earlier, last season we had a bit of a bounce when Rae became manager, mainly due to Quinn and Mallan in midfield. This season we have Quinn out at the moment and Mallan exposed. Naismith had a terrible game today, as did all our back four, I've been informed that the fullbacks have been told not to pass the halfway line, but surely thats bullshit. Thats part of Jasons strengths. I'm already sick of Rae coming out in the media moaning about the players but then going with the exact same plan for the next game. I'm aware that we have changed manager a bit too much over the past few seasons and I think Rae has earned a chance to rectify what is going on. but I feel that he needs to get results as soon as possible. This is his team.

We must pull out all the stops to get Watson to stay. Give him Goodys wages. And Thommos!! And as JJ says, make him captain!!

Why not try a wee bit of positivity until then bud? lets see!! Being a saints fan is always like this, but its what makes us different from the toxic twins up the road. ( and the bigotry obviously).

i hear what you are saying TC but surely it would take a 'super-ally' level of ineptitude to finish outside the top four, even after our pish start to the season! As has been alluded to on many threads, we have the third best squad in the division. I think the next round of ties will be make or break for IM. He does need to lose Spalding though

Was expecting worse, especially after their second goal went in, but have to give the players credit after that, Have to remember that was the most difficult fixture of the season, and we were in it until 5 mins from the end. Indeed, if someone else had taken the penalty, and we had got the bye kick instead of the corner for their first...... anyway, lots of positives for me. Especially McMullan and Baird.

Unfortunately I have a wee sneaky peek at the forum every day, just don't post too often. You are right about Gus being mentioned many different times, but that is mainly due to the same person boring the arse off of everyone!!!! I probably just read your post wrong as i thought you were making a direct comparison for some reason, anyway, I wont mention him again! Hope Lennon can turn it around as there is no way we will be changing him before the end of the season, but i doubt it.

He was also less successful at the top level. Not happy with Lennon, but surely comparisons with Gus should have ended 3 seasons ago?
