10,000 hours is the name of the CIC.
Interestng name just googled it.
-
SMiSA have been working very closely with 10,000 hours. I'm sure that the aim will be that all the SMiSA guys will be a key part of all of this, assuming that they want to be !
Never seen that anywhere before. 10,000 hours?
-
If you join the CIC then for the same fee you used to pay SMiSA you will get a voice in the running of the club, and can participate as much or as little as you like. Isn't that what SMiSA were originally buying the shares to acheive ?
I'd rather see SMISA increase it's shareholding, but that'd for all the trust members to agree if they help fund the CIC or not I guess.
Very confusing !
In today's announcement it reads;
Over the next couple of weeks further details will be announced of a shareholders meeting and a number of public meetings at which all people who may be interested in what a Community Interest Company controlling ownership will mean for them, the team and the wider community.
Isn't this a statement from the CIC which is aiming to ensure that anyone who wants to know EXACTLY what is going on can attend one of these meetings and find out ?
me bad. Must read more. Never saw that.

Read the twitter update regarding Fitzy. Great guy, club legend, but I'm not really bothered he's advising the board.
I started off being confused by the CIC. I think I understand it. I'm not sure I'd want to contribute to it, I'd like to see the SMISA money that I previously contributed to used in some way but guess that won't become a share purchase from the CIC.
I'm worried that only a select few are clues up on this. I'm very much against 'i know but yoose don't ' happening on forums. I'd like to see a statement from the CIC soon but im not expecting one. I'm fairly unexcited and a bit meh over the whole thing.
In general I want to see change at the boardroom, I'd like that change to be reflected somehow on the park. I feel this season has been a grim experience and it needs some ray of light (I'm praying it's Saturday)
A change at the heart of the club could be all we need to hopefully move the club onward from season after season relegation struggle. A sniff at the top six, a few home wins in a row or even seeing a bit of spirit in the playing squad.

Great to see Hollz name on the back page of the PDE with the match report,

Are ballemena halfway through their season? If so it's a great wee result as far as stepping up preseason goes. Couple of goals and a clean sheet is great.
Edit to add. They're not halfway thru, So a decent result.
-
are you our previous manager?
Naw he's Billy Reid!!
-
Thoughts?
Are all items of jewellery accounted for?
If so, then sign him, he can fill in whilst john potter becomes a 20 goal a season striker.

Best 2005 Xara with the contraversial hoop, then the adidas early eighties black/white effort.
Worst the bib, then the 2003 era fat striped xara effort.
-
Well we could speculate about who would replace Gus IF he were to jump ship to Silly Killie!
Jimmy Calderwood!!

As with some of the other guys,I only knew him as a witty and intelligent poster on here, but reading his friends posts you can see how much he meant to them.
Condolences to his family and friends
davie

Personally that doesn't interest me much as the facts of what happened and are happening here. I think there's something rotten deeper here than just at political level. Anyone up for an inquiry to find out?

thought there's an interesting list of it 'wisnae us' excuses at the bottom of that webpage.

saw this and thought it was bizarre..

Correct, the third line to the arkleston junction is still going ahead and the new trains will be delivered. But, this is still a waste of money as the extra track capacity is no longer required, as there will be no large scale rise in commuters using the corridor.
will any of it means more trains per hour between paisley and glasgow? that'd be the only upside from cancelling the airport link.
-
thought it was a strange decision given the new platforms at central starting and some of the other stuff mentioned by bud above.
there's buildings and stuff at macfarlane street knocked down too.

The group wanted to hold the meeting in Ralston Bowling club but the told them to GTF as they think the training complex is great for the area
brilliant.
-
the horrible thing would be picking a username there imo.
-
hopefully with the televised game before the split we can drag motherwell into the bottom six by beating them there.
-
lets not get too carried away...we only won becuase the pitch was a bit lumpy (which led to Nakamura passing the ball to dargo on the build up to our goal) and because the ref failed to see Will Haining leaning into the giant dutch chocolate teapot and failing to provide celtic with a stone wall penatly (according to Davie Provan). must have also been the lumpy pitch which led to mctimus chopping down dargo..how else could we have possibly scored.
patrick nevin used that excuse on sportscene.
funny how celtic's apologists get the same excuses in..
anyway..

Those Harte quotes in the Record re joining us:
"Joining St Mirren gives me the chance to put myself back on the radar. We'll see what happens from here".
"Now it's time for something new and hopefully St Mirren can be a new start for me"
"The St Mirren thing came out of the blue but I'm very excited about playing in Scotland"
"St Mirren are quite obviously a well run club and they've just moved into a new stadium so it sounds like exciting times"
We shouldn't have gone public but Willie Mackay has effectively bounced us into it by ensuring the media knew about it. After the interview in the paper with the quotes, his Sky Sports interview show him to be someone who is being economical with the truth. The guy's a prick but I hope things work out for him<_<
reading those quotes again, they look a bit suspicious, was the journalist jackson fed those lines directly by mackay?
-
read the evening times piece.
this is purely down to money. seems Harte was offered a higher rate than our current wage structure and still wanted more.
No further business should be done with Willie McKay.
-
here's a thought that occured to me.
Shuggy Murray must have more winners medals in his career than Ian Harte.
-
Experienced player and a 'name' too! Hopefully fit and ready to go.
Good News and more than makes up for the transfer windae pish.
