  1. who takes on a tough first professional fight?
  2. ah, good stuff that there's no risk. The fans do need a supporters club - could be a profitable hub over the course of the season, but it would be nice if profit was shared with the youth set up.
  3. all the beaks at hampden can the a hike. I like the idea non traditional football men to come in with new ideas on how to improve the game and make it more fun to go to. Barry Hearn's thoughts were interesting. A group with experience in developing brands internationally and domestically (such as match room), could make a huge difference. Play to our strengths instead of trying to copy the English model.
  4. If I were the club, I'd bin this idea for now due to set up costs. I can't see them breaking even. If we can get a run of results, wait til the weather improves and possibly run a series of fan zones in the last quarter of the season, that might be a safer idea.
  5. you're right. He should have stayed. He was doing so well. Thank f**k for you!
  6. this could also be said of a goodwin and teale partnership
  7. let's have a moment of reflection and relief before we discover that peter succliffe has been offered a 4 year contract.
  8. I'd plumb for someone with better decision making skills.
  9. i would imagine that relegation will cost a lot more than binning tommy. Getting rid of tommy, signing another dud and getting relegated would be pretty disastrous. Can Gilmour et al be trusted to make the right decision? Regardless, I'd fancy my chances of getting better results than that old duffer, so how much worst could it be
  10. the amount of money wasted by danny and tommy over recent years in players not working out and by the current managers appointment would probably make for grim reading. Goes to show how spending a bit more on getting the right man at the helm will save in the long term.
  11. very possibly in his own head. That and worryingly enough stuart gilmour's.
  12. the difference is that it's onwards and upwards for stuart mccall, whereas tommy is finished after this.
  13. To be fair, I think the board had several bottles of the old vino collapso when they came up with the idea to make TC the manager.
  14. so the season is pretty much ended unless we make it to the relegation play offs.
  15. just had a thought that if gus and tommy were side by side, they'd look like compo and clegg from last of the summer wine. something to keep in mind.
  16. The godfather of sports casual. RIP Arthur!
  17. as above. very sad loss of a very talented individual.
