  1. So is Alnwick injured? Have I missed this update/story? Also I thought Reid recalled from Queens Park? He isn't in the team and why do we have then 2 keepers on the bench? Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  2. Totally. It annoys me the likes of Livi, Killie, Ross County etc all had top 6 finishes and we never can. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  3. I find this odd to say. They only thing that has made him change things up would the the Ronan red card and not being available. With him out he HAS put his stamp on it as he moved away from the back 4 that was working for us and went back to the back 3/5that didn't. It's clear as f**king day to say that he has not just gone with what we had and what we were doing. I do hope we ride this out and finish the season safe (I was hoping with our run it would be too 6). I then hope if he does favour a 433 he can find players with Pace and creativity to make that work. He does have his work cut out for him as the midfield are either out of contract or loans end when the season does. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  4. He is known for liking 3 up front. He took Connolly from Northampton to Morecambe. Sadly both under contract with them until 2023. He does like to have fast wingers from the past. He must he hating how we are slow as f**k. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  5. I don't see the player in him others see. Too long on the ball and loses it a lot and alway getting booked. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  6. From his previous teams and line ups Robinson has liked to play 433. Is it that he doesn't have the players or place in our squad to play it? In the past he had liked wide guys with pace, which we don't have. I can only hope in the summer he looks to get players with the pace Ross Co have, as we are so, so unbelievably slow in comparison. 7. I find that him and Gogic together don't work well. Both can cut out play, but cannot string passes together. They are not creative. I get we need a player that can do what they do, but not 2. We miss Ronan a lot. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  8. A player I feel we should be looking at is Regan Charles-Cook. Great player who's contact is up in the summer. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  9. Why is if our bench gets filled out with 2 keepers? Thought we recalled Reid as well?! Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  10. Been recalled from his loan at Queens Park. From what I understand the reason the board went for Robinson is he has a track record of playing the young players and allowing them to progress and for the club's to benefit (eg Campbell and Turnbull at Motherwell). Will also allow him to see what the rebuilding of the midfield might look like when the likes of Jones, Ronan and Gogic loans end. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  11. Where at Motherwell before, Robinson played Main either in a 3-5-2 or 4-3-3 with him in the middle of the 3 with two fast wingers. Maybe he knows how best to get him playing, but the start of the season Goodwin was playing 3 at the back and 2 up front, which did nothing for us. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  12. Yeah sounds about right. Gogic and Power I feel are very similar and too similar at times. With the chat being Gogic will be heading home, then I would look to keep Power. If Gogic was to stay, I would prefer him TBH as I feel he is better at that role. From what I have seen of what Robinson has done in the past, he has liked the 4-3-3 formation. If that is the case, and say he moved to it, we would need another 2 midfielders who can string passes together (rather than being the type of player that cuts them out). Ethan is prone to holding the ball too long. We would need 2 in front of Power/Gogic that can hold the ball, but distribute it well also. Will be interesting to see what Robinson does in the closed season. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  13. Yeah. Millar has been a bit Meh to be honest. McCarthy will look for regular football. Totally see Alnwick at Aberdeen as Lewis is shite. I'd Maybe offer Power and Flynn year extensions, but it will be an interesting summer with the whole of our starting line up midfield mostly going. I'd ideally look to get wide players in and get Kiltie back in the middle behind the striker as he is much better there. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  14. I was thinking after the game yesterday on players put of contract end of this season: * Alnwick * Tanser * Power * Gogic (loan end) * Ronan (loan end) * Jones (loan end) * Flynn * Millar * McCarthy Alnwick will get a gig somewhere that pays more. He won't still be about. Tanser I heard it read he has a year option, but not sure if it's player or team that has the option. What stood out to me was the fact that the majority of our starting midfield is away. Gogic looking to head home, Jones too rich for us, Goodwin also said need 500k to get Ronan. Would we offer the likes of power and Flynn year extensions? Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  15. Looking at the positive that in Robinson's time at Motherwell did he not get the best out of Main? [emoji1787] Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  16. Is he not like in his forties? Looked it up and he is 33. Feels like he has been around forever. Did he not sign for Dundee Utd in 2021 on a 2 year deal? That would take him to the end of 2023 for the contract to end? Only on loan to Morecambe until the end of this season. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  17. Didn't hear specifically about her. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  18. From what I heard both Brown and Naismith were not in the running for anything. It was them "leaking" to the press about the link to a vacancy. This was so they themselves could gauge what the response and chat was around this. Then the stories come out once they know what the response is to say they pulled out the running. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  19. Is he not contracted until 2023 with them anyway? Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  20. His time at Oldham he had Flynn and Dunne. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  21. I might be to old, but I have the Twitter app. Why the f**k do Twitter links from the forum never work for me? [emoji1787] Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  22. Yeah meant to say rejected the offer Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  23. With Jack Ross rejecting an offer from us, we are totally going to go the totally untried and untested route, aren't we? Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  24. Looking at potential managers mentioned: Jack Ross Clubs Managed - 4 Levels managed - Scottish Champ EFL 1 Scottish prem Derek McInnes Clubs Managed = 4 Levels managed - Scottish Champ Scottish premiership English champ Tommy Wright Clubs managed = 5 Levels managed - NIFL Premier Intermediate League NIFL Premiership Scottish premiership Scottish championship Derek Adams Clubs managed = 4 Levels managed - Scottish Champ Scottish premiership English league 2 English league 1 Grant McCann Clubs managed = 3 Levels managed - English league 1 English championship Scott Brown Clubs managed = 0 Levels managed = 0 Steven Naismith Clubs managed = 0 Levels managed = 0 On another thread saying Jack Ross an offer from St. Mirren to return as boss. I wonder why? The money? If he has rejected us, then I worry we are going to go for the untested route with 0 experience, which then you wonder if that could f**k the momentum we currently have and what contacts would they have for off season signings? Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  25. That's why I have contradictory feelings. I think they could be good guys as coaches, but I feel if we want to cement being a mid table team, pushing for top 6, then with the momentum we currently have we need someone with experience at management and someone with decent contacts, as we will need it to progress and go into next season losing a fair few starters from the team.
