  1. Yeah sounds about right. Gogic and Power I feel are very similar and too similar at times. With the chat being Gogic will be heading home, then I would look to keep Power. If Gogic was to stay, I would prefer him TBH as I feel he is better at that role. From what I have seen of what Robinson has done in the past, he has liked the 4-3-3 formation. If that is the case, and say he moved to it, we would need another 2 midfielders who can string passes together (rather than being the type of player that cuts them out). Ethan is prone to holding the ball too long. We would need 2 in front of Power/Gogic that can hold the ball, but distribute it well also. Will be interesting to see what Robinson does in the closed season. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  2. Yeah. Millar has been a bit Meh to be honest. McCarthy will look for regular football. Totally see Alnwick at Aberdeen as Lewis is shite. I'd Maybe offer Power and Flynn year extensions, but it will be an interesting summer with the whole of our starting line up midfield mostly going. I'd ideally look to get wide players in and get Kiltie back in the middle behind the striker as he is much better there. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  3. I was thinking after the game yesterday on players put of contract end of this season: * Alnwick * Tanser * Power * Gogic (loan end) * Ronan (loan end) * Jones (loan end) * Flynn * Millar * McCarthy Alnwick will get a gig somewhere that pays more. He won't still be about. Tanser I heard it read he has a year option, but not sure if it's player or team that has the option. What stood out to me was the fact that the majority of our starting midfield is away. Gogic looking to head home, Jones too rich for us, Goodwin also said need 500k to get Ronan. Would we offer the likes of power and Flynn year extensions? Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  4. Looking at the positive that in Robinson's time at Motherwell did he not get the best out of Main? [emoji1787] Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  5. Is he not like in his forties? Looked it up and he is 33. Feels like he has been around forever. Did he not sign for Dundee Utd in 2021 on a 2 year deal? That would take him to the end of 2023 for the contract to end? Only on loan to Morecambe until the end of this season. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  6. Didn't hear specifically about her. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  7. From what I heard both Brown and Naismith were not in the running for anything. It was them "leaking" to the press about the link to a vacancy. This was so they themselves could gauge what the response and chat was around this. Then the stories come out once they know what the response is to say they pulled out the running. 8. Is he not contracted until 2023 with them anyway? Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  9. His time at Oldham he had Flynn and Dunne. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  10. I might be to old, but I have the Twitter app. Why the f**k do Twitter links from the forum never work for me? [emoji1787] Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  11. Yeah meant to say rejected the offer Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  12. With Jack Ross rejecting an offer from us, we are totally going to go the totally untried and untested route, aren't we? Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  13. Looking at potential managers mentioned: Jack Ross Clubs Managed - 4 Levels managed - Scottish Champ EFL 1 Scottish prem Derek McInnes Clubs Managed = 4 Levels managed - Scottish Champ Scottish premiership English champ Tommy Wright Clubs managed = 5 Levels managed - NIFL Premier Intermediate League NIFL Premiership Scottish premiership Scottish championship Derek Adams Clubs managed = 4 Levels managed - Scottish Champ Scottish premiership English league 2 English league 1 Grant McCann Clubs managed = 3 Levels managed - English league 1 English championship Scott Brown Clubs managed = 0 Levels managed = 0 Steven Naismith Clubs managed = 0 Levels managed = 0 On another thread saying Jack Ross an offer from St. Mirren to return as boss. I wonder why? The money? If he has rejected us, then I worry we are going to go for the untested route with 0 experience, which then you wonder if that could f**k the momentum we currently have and what contacts would they have for off season signings? 14. That's why I have contradictory feelings. I think they could be good guys as coaches, but I feel if we want to cement being a mid table team, pushing for top 6, then with the momentum we currently have we need someone with experience at management and someone with decent contacts, as we will need it to progress and go into next season losing a fair few starters from the team. 15. I wasn't sure if appeal would be dealt with before it, but if we put it in he is allowed to play or not. I also wasn't sure if he was on the bench as we have f**k all players and he had a still to recover fully, but was a body. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  16. It is indeed. With Jim going I think I have been more upset than seasons we faced relegation. Those points we were shit. The reason I think I feel so gutted is we are doing well and have momentum. We need that to continue and if Jim stayed we would have had that. At the moment he is gone and we are manager and assistant less, which I feel could stop this momentum and could then start a downward slide. These next 2 games are huge to keep us in about it all. I think if we were hovering at the bottom just hoping for survival a punt on the inexperienced wouldn't worry me as we have yoyo'd in the past. I can see us solid now and we need someone with experience and contacts to help make us THE mid table club looking to push and then stay a top 6 club. These 2 games could be huge with who we could attract as a manager too. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  17. Craig was supposed to be a good coach... Shite manager though. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  18. The majority see us winning it. I wouldn't have seen that from them. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  19. With Dunne's red card he will be out, won't he? Is McCarthy fit to step in? Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  20. If we went this route do you think he could get best out of Greive? Would he be able to spot good attacking player for our budget? I found with Jim he was good at spotting defenders and central midfielders, but could be very hit or miss with with attackers. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  21. I don't see anyone from the lower leagues that would be up and coming I would want to take. Only lower league manager would be McInnes, but likely Killie would come up again and likely then be able to get more money. Brown and Naismith I wouldn't mind, but if they had management experience. I think they both could be pricks on the field, but good off it. That was the way a lot of people viewed Goodwin. I would take either if like Goodwin they had time at a lower league team managing. In my head last season I thought we were great. The issue was more draws than being able to finish them off. At the back we were solid and attack needed more. This season the switch to back 3 I thought was there to fit in players we had at the back, but didn't suit the player's we had. Switching back to back 4 has been great to push us on again. I wish we started that way this season. I think we as a club are on the cusp of being able to push on and with the right steer could establish ourselves as a top 6 side if we tweak things and get someone in with experience and contacts. Thinking for end of season we have quite a bit to fill from a starting lineup with Alnwick, Tanser, Jones, Gogic and Ronan off. We need someone who can help get people in that could fill these roles. Would the likes of Brown and Naismith be able to do that? Not sure. I think if our goal was as it was always to just not get relegated, then take s punt on them. If the goal is to establish ourselves as a mid table/top 6 team then we need experience. Who would that then be that's out of a job Jack Ross - talks that he was talking to clubs before getting permission. Not sure if true or not. He has been sacked from last 2 roles. Tommy Wright - I thought did well at Fakes, but was not good at Killie. Not sure about him. Derek Adams - done ok at points, but ego and arrogance could be an issue. Grant McCann - don't know much about him, but friend of Jim and managed experience at decent levels. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  22. This means he will get Matty Kennedy as always admired him. [emoji1787] Does this mean he could afford the 500k quoted to get Ronan from Wolves? Could get Jones who said we couldn't afford as still on his rangers contract with Wigan? Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  23. I hope the 3 at the back doesn't work for Aberdeen and that they stay below us in the table. [emoji1787] Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  24. He is taking on the game today apparently, so must be staying. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  25. I just want this done now. He wants to explore the vacancy. I get they have a bigger fan base and have bigger budget, but if he doesn't get the control he likes, he might not go. If we have ambition we are the same as Aberdeen, but without the budget. Surely every club, other than the OF are the same? In an Ideal world you want to finish highest at 3rd, Want to progress/win cups, want European football? So the control and budget are then the selling points, no? Currently we are are 6th. They are 8th. League cup we both got knocked out 2nd round I think. Scottish cup we are into the 6th round and Aberdeen are out. We look totally in a better position, all is just money, which is a shame, but understandable. I just hate how Aberdeen are up their own arse with their famous Aberdeen bull shit. Sorry ranting. I know managers come and go, but we have finally got good vibe, good momentum, potential to finish top 6 and those pricks come in and unsettle it all. I just want it sorted quickly.
