  1. It's the one that has baffled me, especially since the livi game. Tait injured so instead of either Henderson or Millar out wide right we had Flynn. I thought Millar was brought in as pace and width when Jim was going with his version of 3 at the back with wing backs, but not sure if it had been injury, fitness or just not being good that kept him out the side?! 2. Better not be. I'd be gutted Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  3. You never know. One of them might find form. Same as it always is as we do not have the cash to get the likes of a Ramírez, Watt, Charles-Cook, Boyce. If they batter in a fair few goals then the other teams out with the OF will be sniffing about and some can offer more than we can wage wise... And some more so the potential of Euro footy with being able to make the top 6. Likes of Mehmet and Higdon were not prolific and then have a better season scoring more then move away. We have to work in the market we can afford and it is a lot of hit and miss hopefully getting someone who can find form. Not always getting a Thomo to want to come to us that can score a lot. Indeed. I hope so. I see Callum Hendry as someone that fits into that category and we should look hard at that. With a full preseason I can see Greive being a huge player for us next season... Or if Robo can get the best version of Main, we might get more out of him next season. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  4. We have that. The striker that can score 20+ a season is out of our price range. Ever saints fan wants this, but it is not realistic... Unless we hey bought over like Newcastle Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  5. Aye, very good. I think the 2 below could do well in the team and they way Robo seems to like to play. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Callum_Hendry https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shaun_Rooney Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  6. Shame as I really do think the likes of Hendry and Rooney would be good editions to the kind of way Robo is setting us up. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  7. I'm looking forward to seeing what Robo brings in as did he not sign the likes of bevis mugabi at Motherwell? He is a cracking defender and a monster of a size. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  8. Stephen Obileye #6 6'4" signed from QotS Joel Nouble #19 6'4" Signed from Aldershot Town in the National League Caleb Chukwuemeka #23 6'3" Loan from Aston Villa If Robo has a habit to look at the lower leagues in England, I expect us to start signing players like Nouble. 9. Thing I find really bizarre is how did the 3 at the back not work with these players under Goodwin, but does with Robo? Robo seems to try and get them to play with intensity in that formation and also has realised that the 2 holding midfielders doesn't work together as well as when Jim tried it he had power on his own and McGrath and Kiltie playing the same position. Either way I'm liking they way Robo has got it working at least. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  10. Or Greive? Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  11. I would get very excited if we were able to announce the permanent signing of Gogic. I fear now he has suggested he would stay in Scotland that Aberdeen go in for him . It would annoy me as us as fans would appreciate him and what he does, while dons fans are up their own arses. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  12. Is Millar injured? Was he not brought in as a packet wingback? Why is Flynn ahead of him, but seeming like his legs are gone. Football brain still there, but 2 yards off it. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  13. He annoys me. Apparently got loads of pace, but never see him use it. You would hope he could play on 4he shoulder and look for a through ball to blast past, but instead I have seen him stand and wait to get the ball, stop it dead to try take his man on, when he can't as everyone and their granny knows he is looking to cut in on his right. One of the most frustrating players to wear a saints top. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  14. Thanks. The reason I added in the height of the potential players is the fact I feel at times the team has been pretty small and from what I remember of Robo is he favours physical, athletic players over ability. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  15. He is I'm sure. I have a lot of time to think and got the following In contract for 22/23: 1. D. Lyness - 29yo - GK 2. M. Fraser - 27yo - CB/RB 3. J. Shaughnessy - 28yo - CB 4. C. Dunne - 28yo - CB 5. R. Tait - 31yo - RWB 6. S. Tanser - 26yo - LWB 7. E. Erhahon - 20yo - CM 8. J. Henderson - 19yo - RM 9. G. Kiltie - 24yo - CAM 10. C. Main - 29yo - ST 11. E. Brophy - 25yo - ST 12. A. Greive - 22yo - ST Contract ending: 1. J. Alnwick - 28yo - GK 2. C. McCarthy - 23yo - CB 3. A. Power - 33yo - CDM 4. R. Flynn - 32yo - CM 5. M. Millar - 24yo - RWB Loan ends: 1. C. Ronan - 23yo - CM 2. J. Jones - 26yo - LW 3. A. Gogić - 27yo - CDM Alleged PCAs: 1. Trevor Carson - 33yo - GK - 6'0" 2. Mark O'Hara - 25yo - CDM/CM/CB/RB - 6'1" 3. Keanu Baccus - 23yo - CM/CDM - 5'9" Potential rumoured players: 1. Reghan Tumilty - 25yo - RB/RWB - 5'10" 2. Reece McAlear - 20yo - CM - 6'1" 3. Steven Davis - 37yo - CM - 5'8" 4. Jonah Ayunga - 24yo - RW/ST - - 6'1" So that's like a squad we had of like 20 first team players (due to Goodwin farming out all the young players). Of the ones who's contracts are ending and loans finishing, of that 20 we are potentially losing 8 (if none of the out of contract folks sign on again). That will leave us with 12 first team players still in contact staying (maybe). Robo has come out and said there are 4 already signed. This would take the count up from 12 to 16. He is then said in the daily record article he would like 2 or 3 more. That would then take us up to 19. That's less than we have currently in the squad. In his time at Morcambe and Motherwell he operated with a squad size of between 26 and 29. Does that mean that the remaining spaces would be youths or would it be a mix of youth and loans? Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  16. Reece McAlear I believe. Is he not on loan from Norwich at ICT? Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  17. Hope it's shite. We need him next season to be playing more. What we have seen of him, i don't think he looks out of place. What I have seen of Aberdeen's Ramsay I didn't think much of him, but here we are seeing things coming out Liverpool and Leeds Talkin £4m. This article is saying 6 figures for Reid. We need to be integrating the academy players more, trying to get them on longer deals and trying to make more money like rival teams like Aberdeen, who are currently below us. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  18. Totally. At one point yesterday he held 2 people off and away from the ball. Honestly he is deceivingly strong. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  19. FTOF on P&B saying we are linked to Jonah Ayunga from Morecambe. Thought I read somewhere that there are a fair few at Morecambe being made available, though under contract. Wondered how many we would be linked to: Ryan Delaney - CB Anthony O'Connor - CB Ryan Cooney - RB Ryan McLaughlin - RB/RWB Connor Pye - LB Shane McLoughlin - CM/RWB Jonah Ayunga - RW/ST Wes McDonald - RW/LW Jon Obika - ST Also players that are there and put of contract this summer: Greg Leigh - LWB/LB Rhys Bennett - CB Aaron Wildig - CM Arthur Gnahoua - LW/RW/ST Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  20. I have been thinking to the formation that Robo played Vs the Fakes and what I find interesting is that Jim tried to do something similar at the start of the season against Hearts. He tried to play the 3 at the back and it didnt work. He tried to play with wingbacks and it felt narrow and didn't work. He tried to play with 2 "strikers" and it didn't work. The difference between Jim and Robo setting up this way was Jim tried to play with just Power sitting deeper and play with both McGrath and Kiltie. This is where I feel it broke down. Jim went with: Alnwick Fraser - Shaunghessy - Dunne Tait - McGrath - Power - Tanser Kiltie Main - Brophy Robo went with: Alnwick Fraser - Shaunghessy - McCarthy Tait - Gogic - Ronan - Tanser Kiltie Main - Greive I feel Gogic far better at breaking down play etc to Power. Also, Ronan is a great player. I feel he can play box to box really well. If this is one of the formations Robo wants to use moving forward (as well as him liking 433) I hope he brings in balanced players for these rather than Jim bringing in player for 1 formation that didn't work. I hope we could get Gogic to stay. I hope that O'Hara or Baccus are box to box. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  21. I'd say last season for the fakes I didn't think Tanser was a good defender, but when we switched to a back 4 I didn't think he was terrible at left back. Could depend how you play Rooney. Robo does love more tall, athletic and physical players from his time at 'Well. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  22. Could you see us going in for the likes of Shaun Rooney as he is out of contract with the fakes instead to play the right wing back big lump role? Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  23. Would love to keep him. Does all the things that are not glamorous, but needed in games. Cuts out play really well. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  24. With that, then depending on formations they have: LB/LWB Tanser and Tait RB/RWB Tait, Fraser, Finlayson CB Dunne, Shaunghessy, Fraser, Finlayson Is this enough cover for injuries or suspensions? Certainly going to be interesting. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  25. My son is Fraser's number 1 fan. He would be gutted. I like Fraser, I don't think he is that bad. A lot of our players have short comings. He is being played now, is this because Dunne is injured? Or if we brought in this right back, would Fraser be kept as the squad player that can fill in at CB and Right back?
