  1. I was worried when we signed him as the fakes fans were all like he can't defend. I found he wasn't bad when we switched to the back 4 and thought that a lot of Fakes fans know f**k all about football. I have liked him as a player, but was worried when there were a few games he wasn't starting over the likes of Tait, but feel it was from injury or covid rather than not being rated, but I'm not sure. Either way I'm glad he is back. My son's favourite players are Fraser and Tanser. He will be delighted. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  2. Feels a bit weird not playing with wingers. When the season started and we had the 3 at the back the wingbacks made it feel super narrow up the pitch. I guess at the time though we tried to play then Kiltie and McGrath too, which didn't work. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  3. I didn't get to see the game. What was the formation he went with? Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  4. Did Jim not say before it would be in the region of 500k to get him? Do Aberdeen have that to hand? Should they not save that money to pay off Jim as the fans are not to keen on him. [emoji1787] Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  5. 100% percent. I don't see a footballer there at this level at all. Doesn't track his man, mile off the pace, always too long on the ball and his passing with that is honking. This season, apart from Ronan, the midfield has been poor. It's good that most are away out of contract or loan ending as the midfield needs someone new blood. Need people that can play on the ball too. Too many can't take the ball anywhere. Its like netball but with their feet. Jay is the only one that comes on and takes a man on. 6. All good, but was his contact not until 2023 Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  7. I would hope they have pace and can take a man on... Or score goals. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  8. I'm sure I read somewhere either here or P&B that this is something that Robo looks for in players. It's more about their physicality and speed and not their football skills. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  9. Why is voting now? Is it because we probably won't score goals, let alone good goals in the remaining games? Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  10. Country have turned the season around. It annoys me how other teams in the time in the top flight have finished top 6 and we can't. The likes of county, Killie, livi etc. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  11. Wow... Just wow! I'm thinking McCarthy thinks he can get a better gig down south. [emoji1787] 100% I've wondered this. Can try it as he is at least contracted for next season. Try like Dunne, Joe, Fraser, Tait. This at least is a lineup all here until the end of 2023. As you say. Big, quick, powerful. Sometimes caught out ,but has the pace others don't to sort it out. His long balls are shite. I think to myself that Robo could find cover fine as he brought Mugabi to Motherwell and he is a cracking defender. He has all Dunne has and more. I'd hope he would be able to find someone similar for us to replace Dunne. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  12. So was there at the point Robo was there maybe knows the style of play that Robo keeps going on about that he can pick up easy that our current players can't seem to. [emoji1787] Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  13. Seems us, Fakes and Killie would like his services. The others might be able to potentially pay him more, but you think there is a link to Robo and his style of play he wants? Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  14. He did try for him. Clearly someone that Robinson could get to understand whatever system he is wanting From what I know he is a bit of a utility man can play holding midfielder, central midfielder. Play on the right, play right back and think filled in at times at Centre back. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  15. I was so gutted after the game yesterday, like many.of the fans. As a lot have said, it was a game of 2 halves. 1st half I have to say was some of the best football I have seen us play for a while. We were putting pressure on from the front. We were bossing the game. It was great tempo and we deserved to be on top at the half. Everyone was playing there role well. At one point the team was sitting really high up the park it looked like we had Joe and Dunne sitting back with Power sitting deeper in a 3. We were pressing high from the wings, which was great to seen. 2nd half they changed the players and shape, where we tried to keep doing the same, which didn't work. I'm not sure if it was them changing shape that stopped us dead or if it was in fact the players were f**ked as cannot play that tempo for a full 90 minutes?! I'm not a happy clapper or trying to defend Robinson. He is to blame for not reacting quicker to their shape change, which was giving us nothing and his subs were weird. Greive off and Main still on was mental. Yeah I know that Greive is young and doesn't know how to conserve energy, but that's what makes him a good sub. He can go at it for the time he has. Main chased down nothing and was lazy. I have to say that our team is incredibly unbalanced. We have 0 spark or creativity that can come on from the bench. We have f**k all players on the bench compared to other teams at times as well. Could the player's we have not keep the tempo he wants for 90 minutes? It will be interesting how he shapes the team in the off season. At that point I will truly judge him as a manager. Until then he is doing what he can with someone elses squad. 16. Give him the summer to get in players he feels will fit with his style if play first ffs. Apart from Ronan we have 0 creativity in the team, and if he is off, the whole team is off. We have both Power and Gogic. Good at cutting out at, but can't pass for shit. We also seem to need full backs that can run for days. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  17. 100% agree. The change at the back f**ked the shape and anyone having a scooby doo what to do. Tait is not a wing back and neither is Fraser. More defensive that attack there. I thought the 1st half we played really well. Pressured them. We were playing very high up the park, it was enjoyable football and was showing like we would get another goal if that kept going. Either their half time subs made the difference or we simply are not fit enough to keep that tempo for the whole game, as the 2nd half we were shocking. I thought that was one of Alnwick's worst games. He was coming out for f**k all and not commanding his area or using his voice to sort out the back, were they clearly didn't know what the f**k they were supposed to do. All this and the shape going and the lack of direction from anyone meant he came out and got the red. It was a cluster f**k for all, but he had a poor game before that. I would love to see how or what Robinson does to get his own players in. If that is how he wants to play like the first half, he needs fitter and faster players than there is now. There is f**k all creativity in the team and today showed there are flashes, but we need more for the middle than 2 holding midfielders. Also what the f**k is going on that we have f**k all players? Do we not have young hungry players that could fill the bench and give us something at all? 3 subs less ffs Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  18. I kinda want Aberdeen to loose. Read an article last night that made my blood boil. Goodwin talking about Alnwick and Ronan being able to make the step up to Aberdeen! Who the club currently below us?! They are no where near as good or as "famous" as they were in the 80s ffs. Yeah bigger stadium, bigger home support, higher wages, but they have been inconsistent for years. What is the best they can do? They will never split the OF. f**k off. 100% been underperforming for the budget they have had for years. Grrr. Rant over. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/connor-ronan-aberdeen-transfer-link-26499431 Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  19. All home wins. Would that not put us 4th by end of the day? Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  20. From what I remember, of his later time at Motherwell and what he did at Morecambe, Robinson likes to play a set up of 4-3-3 that has: * 2 big strong centre backs * A big strong holding midfielder * A big strong target man This then creating a real strong spine in the team. He likes to play full backs that are really fit and can join the attack and get back as well. He has also favoured high and out wide in the front 3 fast as f**k players, which shows that he signed before coming to us Dylan Connolly from Northampton, and in his time at Motherwell had fast player likes: * Gboly Ariyibi * Chris Cadden * Jermaine Hylton * Rolando Aarons * Jake Hastie * Christian Ilic * Sherwin Seedorf They night not be the best players in the world, but they made opponent defence have to keep tabs and stay accountable as they had some real pace... Something really lacking still with us. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  21. I know I feel I could be a bit biased because of that, but I do think he is a better defender. I also think seems faster to go against wingers, which they play with, more than Tait. I know Fraser has had a dip, but usually solid. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  22. I would prefer Fraser to Tait tbh. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  23. Was just about to post this. Not surprising. Joe Lewis has been on a downward spiral with them. When we play them I always thought pressuring him should be the forwards game plan as he has been really shit. Alnwick will get more money there, will be seen as a bigger club and better move (though they have been shite and not as famous at their twat fans make out anymore). I'll be upset if he goes there as I feel he is the real consistency in the squad and really kept us in games. I hope though that in recent years our goal keeper signing has been pretty good that we can get another decent one in like Alnwick, Hladky and Samson. Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
  24. SR was all licks about sticking with things, but now wanting to put his own stamp on it. What is this stamp? Sent from my IN2023 using Tapatalk
