Just back from the Man U v Lyon game in Edinburgh as my grandson was determined he wanted to see them. Over £60 for a ticket. Man U were out of the blocks real quick but seemed to want to walk the ball into the net. Great goal by Van der Beek to win it though. Anyway. Parked, or more like abandoned the car at Ingliston park and ride as there wasn't a parking spot in sight. Had to end up climbing a kerb and hoping for the best. Got the tram. Obviously busy as feck. Queue like an execution to get in. Prices for snacks and drinks were horrendous. Getting back to the car was a challenge to say the least. Turns out the clever cnuts were walking to Haymarket and getting the tram there meaning the thing was crammed when it got to Murrayfield. Then getting out of Ingliston was another chore. Motorway traffic was, by then , in rush hour mode. Murder! All in all, an experience I wouldn't want to repeat.

YEp. One of my workmates is a supporter and he predicted Goodwin would get them between Cellicfootballclub and sevco. I laughed and told him the best he'd get was a record for the number of draws. Of course he kinda rewrote history when he found Goodwin was only his name. 🤣

My 14 YO grandson watched for two minutes and had him sussed out. That's how poor he's been. We watched him v Morton, then Montrose and he doesn't seem to know how to kick a football.

I don't know why we paid money for a winger when we let one go for nothing because Robinson doesn't play wingers. This game needs to be over and done in the early stages of the match but I don't see where we will get our goals. I predict another embarrassing performance and maybe a 0-0 draw. Sorry Rascal but, What game were you at? Although Montrose were less than good, they were far better than us. They were first to every second ball and, for the most part, passed the ball through us to someone wearing the same strip. They seldom punted the ball up the park and defended resolutely the few times they needed to. Conversely. We could hardly string two passes together and resorted to punting the ball up the park which usually ended up in Montrose's possession or out of play.

Except it wasn't raining. Nor was it particularly "blowy". Nor was it a friendly. Apart from that...................................................

Woeful! Embarrassing! Shocking! And that's me being generous. To a man. A complete shambles. I spent nearly five hours driving to see that awful display. If this is to be the standard for our league campaign then we best hope Morton don't get relegated so we have something to look forward to in season 2024-25.

If I recall correctly, he was actually just outside the penalty box. And I think that was more to do with Tait being played at left back. Being right footed, his natural instinct was to go inside.
