Amazed to say it but BJ seems pretty much on the mark today - third time lucky.

But even a broken watch can be right twice a day.

    ETA:

Of course he did say quite categorically that his government will follow the data, not the dates.

So tonight ladles and jellyspoons, Here are the dates.

What renovate and man Hadrian Wall.   In the hope of re-joining the EU.

Not, "In the hope". That's suggesting it's the only motive. Self determination is the aim. IF we re-join, which I'm sure will happen, then we will have our own voice and, more importantly, the same right to veto that, incidentally, the UK always had and very seldom used.

Although I am glad you used the term "re-join" as this is a concession from a union supporter as, for so long it's been suggested we would have to apply to "join".

  3. If you want to talk dictator you need look no further than the guy who ignored the law when procuring PPE through his mates. While I don't agree with everything her government has done, Sturgeon has more common sense  than the whole of the UK cabinet put together. I wouldn't trust BoJo and his cronies to tie a shoelace between them.

    ETA:

The UK government has acted, both collectively and individually, to fill the coffers of their donors and friends to the detriment of the country. at least Sturgeon is trying to do the right thing for the people she and her party represent.

So, tonight Johnson is to outline the plans to get us back to something resembling a normal/decent lifestyle.

A lot riding on this, I can't see any more leeway for business's that are already teetering on the brink, with the furlough system due to come to an end soon that safety net will be gone.

Israel, who have vaccinated half the population, have already resumed something close to a normal life, the UK are currently around 33% on the vaccination numbers, maybe we'll be aiming for something the same?

    No he isn't.

    ETA:

I offer an apology if you've moved to England. I am assuming you live in Scotland.

If county play the way they played tonight there's no Way we will get a result on Saturday because when teams get in our faces the way they did against Celtic we can't handle it. In fact i don't think we will win any of our last four games before the split.

    Au contraire mon ami.

I think the way RC played would suit us down to a tee if we have a solid midfield on board. I don't know, and won't guess, whether we will win any game before the split but, with the right attitude, I do believe we have the better players than at least two of them, we are well capable of giving ALL the teams we are about to play pre split a good game. I include the rangers in that as, even last night, they looked vulnerable. United could have been a couple of goals to the good before they struck fortuitously. While it's unlikely we will do what no other team has done in the league, (bookies tend to be right more than wrong), it's not out of the realms of possibility given our cup result.

I had thought if you'd just got an extension built you may have got new flooring. In that case you wouldn't have wanted it lifted if possible.

Another route that could be used is the cavity gap in the walls if it hasn't already been insulated. emoji106.png

It has and the cabled would need to be routed through to the original part of the house. I'm sure the missus would be delighted with more upheaval just so I could get my TV fix via another provider. I probably should have considered the change previously but I've been fortunate enough to get a discount sorted every time. I'm just not sure that luck will hold out so was looking for constructive advise in case. Thanks for that though.

    Yes.

I'm guessing a Satalite dish and cables from that will be needed, in addition to the phone line you have.

Just had my extension built so I don't want cables all over the place. I suppose I'll have to hope Virgin give me my customary discount when I call to cancel again.

Could anyone tell me what sort of upheaval there is from changing from Virgin to one of the other providers? Is there an alteration to the internal cabling for instance?

Depends what you already have. Do you have a BT line already in the house?

    Yes.

Football Focus, the amount of "token" black co-presenters is becoming beyond a joke.

Currently Carlton Cole, his colour is irrelevant, he's hopeless.

Add in the new "in thing" of Micha Richards, who's also hopeless, unless you like a laughing clown, and it's gone mad.

Oh Alex Scott is excellent, easily worth her spot on the many programmes she appears on.

Dion Dublin is also pretty decent.

I agree that the colour of their skin or their gender should be irrelevant. I think Alex Scott is half decent as a pundit but that voice? I think Jermaine Jenas is also a decent a co presenter.

Across the board though, I think there are far too many co commentators  and after-match pundits. I just don't see the need for the continual over analysis of games.

  12. So. The high court decree that the Government acted unlawfully when it refused to divulge details of some of the contracts for PPE within the required time frame. UNLAWFULLY!  The home secretary had acted UNLAWFULLY and had breached his legal obligation. The Departmant for Health and Social Care had been FORCED to sign deals within very short time frames.

All this and what do the BBC say is their top story? Harry and freckin' Megan!

This incompetent, lying, thieving  lot  should be forced to resign.

When we signed McAllister back from Derby, I have to say I was quite excited about it. But I now realise that my excitement was based on his performances at Championship level. I really believe that he is just not good enough for Premier league level. Add to that, the fact that he is overweight and slow. I think Kyle will definitely go down as one who's potential slipped away. I really could see him down in League one or League two in 2 or 3 years. Unless his performances pick up dramatically over the next year and a half, he'll be gone at the end of his contract.

Kyle WAS overweight but he is now looking leaner and fitter. I wasn't impressed by his apparent lack of interest at the start of his return but he is getting better every week. I agree it's taken a while but he is getting there.
