  1. Wouldn't you want us to win the cup and be the top four club? I know I would.
  2. I'm surprised more hasn't been said about our first goal yesterday. It was a fantastic team goal finished superbly by Dennis. From Alnwick to Dennis in around 15 seconds with mostly one touch football. A masterclass in fast, freeflowing football.
  3. Given the team selection, I didn't see that coming. Not only did we win. For most of the match, We deserved to. I was baffled by the team selection. Like most on here, I was wrong in my criticism. We actually started to look vulnerable after the substitutions but we held on for a win in a stadium where many a fan had NEVER seen one. I hope we have turned a corner and kick on. Well Done Goodwin. You're team selection was vindicated.
  4. While I think professional footballers should be able to cope physically with two games in a week I think they could have done with a midweek break in the middle of this run of games to help with mental fatigue.
  5. I can only think we're playing 4-4-1-1 with Erhahon at LEFT back. ETA Not enough changes to explain resting players. Is Tait carrying an injury?
  6. No respite. A game every 3-4 days all through the month.
  7. I know but it must stick in Ross' throat that the referee so obviously must have seen this incident and didn't, for whatever reason, send the ned off, only for him to score the only goal of the game.
  8. Rangers: Alfredo Morelos charged for Ryan Porteous stamp - BBC Sport Unfortunately for the wee saints the referee didn't do his job at the time. This disgusting wee cheat shouldn't be anywhere near the Scottish game.
  9. Joking about getting rid of a whole nation? Yep. How we laughed.
  10. I agree we've a lot to be happy about that performance but, for me, it's tainted by, "what could have been", if Goodie had trusted his senior midfielders on Sunday.
  11. Or figuratively going on recent outings.
  12. I hope this doesn't come back and bite us on the ass but, unfortunately, I think that's exactly what will happen if he stays in the Scottish Premier league.
  13. I'm not sure Flynn will start in this one. It's a big ask to come back after such a long lay off and play a full part in two games in such a short space of time. As an aside. Like everyone, except for JG it seems, I thought we should have had him start on Sunday. We were so lightweight in midfield and I was astounded and dismayed that he, AND Foley, didn't even get a foot on the park. I also hope Jim doesn't do what he did v therangers. We more than held our own in the cup game Because we took the game to them then, in a space of a few days, we reverted to rabbits caught in the headlights. We need to do the former on Saturday and I hope against hope that I'm wrong about Flynn.
  14. My guess would be that we'll be on the west side. That's the side you don't want. ETA. Sorry. I'm wrong. That would be the bench you do want. Rangers had the west side when we played them in 2010.
  15. On present form that's more of a "fucture" than a ficture!
  16. Not according to this. ETA: I would think they'd advertise the other sports channels if they were included.
  17. This ^^^^^^^^^ It simply means one less day training. With modern science and techniques it should never be a problem to play a game of football for a professional athlete.
  18. Hopefully Goodwin will drum into the players that there was no point beating therangers if they don't go on to the final.
  19. A man walked out to the street and caught a taxi just going by. He got into the taxi, and the cabbie said, "Perfect timing. You're just like Brian" Passenger: "Who?" Cabbie: "Brian Sullivan. He's a guy who did everything right all the time. Like my coming along when you needed a cab, things happen like that to Brian Sullivan, every single time." Passenger: "There are always a few clouds over everybody." Cabbie: "Not Brian Sullivan. He was a terrific athlete. He could have won the Grand Slam at tennis. He could golf with the pros. He sang like an opera baritone and danced like a Broadway star and you should have heard him play the piano. He was an amazing guy." Passenger: "Sounds like he was something really special." Cabbie: "There's more. He had a memory like a computer. He remembered everybody's birthday. He knew all about wine, which foods to order and which fork to eat them with. He could fix anything. Not like me. I change a fuse, and the whole street blacks out. But Brian Sullivan, he could do everything right." Passenger: "Wow. Some guy then." Cabbie: "He always knew the quickest way to go in traffic and avoid traffic jams. Not like me, I always seem to get stuck in them. But Brian, he never made a mistake, and he really knew how to treat a woman and make her feel good. He would never answer her back even if she was in the wrong; and his clothing was always immaculate, shoes highly polished too. He was the perfect man! He never made a mistake. No one could ever measure up to Brian Sullivan." Passenger: "An amazing fellow. How did you meet him?" Cabbie: "Well, I never actually met Brian. He died. I'm married to his widow."
  20. I started in 1969 and we weren't the first, first year at the new school so, as I said previously, I reckon the first intake at the new school must have been 1968.
  21. WAFD! And just to be clear. I'm referring to you.
