  1. Wow!

    Is that practical, a possibility?
I can understand Killie wanting to offload a wage, but could he go to Saints according to the rules?
(Tho SPFL make them up on the hoof if it's for sevco or shellic)
As we have sadly lost Junior, Brophy could use his strips and changing place in the dressing room, I guess...

Seriously... Is this something that has happened elsewhere - and what hurdles, if any, are there to be overcome? AnyBuddie know?

    Broadfoot?
  2. Firstly it was a question, hence the ? However if you pushed me to describe a racist, I would say it was someone who had far right leanings politically (BNP, EDL) and was aligned in there thinking with neo nazi doctrine. I would say that David Icke and Tommy Robinson have through there past speeches aligned themselves with a racist doctrine.
I am also surprised that you are surprised by these revelations!

So are you saying that only white folks are/can be racist? [emoji848]
  3.
Also, have you forgot, conveniently,  his love for that nice man Tommy Robinson?
By posting his "views" by association your in the same boat IMO.
If you don't have any problems with the amount of stuff he posts that's offensive, extremist, then you need to have a good look at yourself.

What has he posted that offended you and hurt your poor wee feelings?
So without actually calling me a racist, I assume that’s your assertion and I have no issue with that, because you are entitled to your opinion.
In my defense, I’d say the fact that my wife is Indian Hindu and the father in-law is Muslim, I must be really bad at being a racist. 🤫
  4. By posting his trash he, by association, is supporting the content and, as such, is branded with the same brush.

I’ve watched a few of the posts Shull has put up and I don’t find the content racist. The likes of Candace Owens, even some of the Katie Hopkins videos and Nigel Farage. You may not agree with their political views, but that doesn’t make them racists, nor Shull for sharing them. He obviously doesn’t support the BLM movement, and neither do I. He doesn’t support players taking the knee, I personally couldn’t care less if they do it because it won’t change anything. If they feel good about it........ then crack on, but I believe it’s run its course.

You basically called Shull a racist but without any justification IMO, which is a helluva accusation to label someone with.
  5. The 'Well fans on P&B don't seem to share your views.
They feel that Robinson has had a lack of squad continuity compared to other managers and he's had to rebuild the squad several times already. They're quite accepting of the scenario, that a further squad rebuild this January has him scunnered. They seem quite sad that a guy who was such a success with them has reached the end of the line.
They seem to think that the players should be taking a good look at themselves.

It wasn’t that long ago he was seen as a potential for the Northern Ireland job. Surely he hasn’t become a shit manager overnight. Maybe he was working with one hand tied behind his back....... so to speak.
  6. All I know it was a transit pick up and incredibly a couple of hours later another one  appeared later on a bizarre diversion as to what the cleansing company route would take presumably to see what damage was done but can't go accusing[emoji35] anyway got informed today car can be put right at cost of 4.5k[emoji54] thank god for insurance. Problem being it's still under 5 year warranty and all parts have to be Hyundai gen parts, so god knows how long that will take with brexit and coronashit.

I’m sure if it was the cleansing company then someone would probably have a lot of explaining to do. May be worth a discrete phone call though.
  7. Good performance from saints, if Obika had scored on the 6 minute mark it could have been different. I don’t think I have seen saints look so composed and confident in a long long time. We don’t play the arse cheeks every week so we should be looking to get into the top six.

To be honest, I thought the chance in the opening seconds was an easier one.
  8. Must admit that I am really looking forward to the game.
The chance to make some history by beating an OF team twice in 3 weeks has the juices going.
Not even thinking about defeat TBH but if it happens, it happens. As long as the players show the usual level of effort.

I hope the players are thinking the same WRT beating an OF team twice in as many weeks....... what bigger incentive do they need.
  9. Figures from the Daily Mail should be the first red flag ??
47k volunteers are just that volunteers, how many are medically qualified ?
Potentially heading for a complete lockdown very soon unless government can get on top of new variant.
Starting to over promise again with Handcock's utterances

I don’t read any tabloids chap, I just did the googly thing to find the information across various sources.
No idea how many of the 47.000 were medically qualified (bit of a loaded question but I’m assuming you were including non medical posts) but I can’t imagine too many plumbers (unless they were volunteering for the Urology department) flinging their hats in the ring.

WRT complete lockdown, I agree with you there as it’s an easy get out for Boris and Sturgeon. If there are no significant rise in deaths, they’ll take the credit for the full lockdown. If there is a significant rise in deaths, it could be said that lockdowns don’t work. It’ll be interesting to see the stats over the next two to three weeks.
  10. that this year couldn't get any more crap. My neighbour woke me up at 5am to say someone had hit my car(loose term it's a Hyundai i800) and drove off. On checking it amongst all the broken glass, etc came to the conclusion that I couldn't have done any worse if I had hit it with a bus. Find out tomorrow if it's to be put back together or off to make irn bru cans. Needless to say everyone was an arsehole at work[emoji51]

Maybe it was a bus. Hope you find the bastard that did it.
  11. You're changing the rhetoric from the place was closed, dismantled now, yeah there COULD be a problem staffing it?

    Here we go [emoji849]
I didn’t say it was closed, I haven’t been down in person to physically check the current status. I referenced a link that said it was closed.
If they don’t have equipment and resources, then the Nightingale ExCel is as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike.
Anyway, you have an enjoyable day and hopefully a good result for the Saints will give you some festive cheer.
  12. Terminology designed to overstate the situation.
    Below from NHS England.

London's Nightingale hospital remains on standby, despite the removal of some of its equipment, NHS England has said.

England's hospitals are currently treating more Covid-19 patients than during the previous peak of the virus in April.

Some equipment, including beds and ventilators, are no longer at the ExCel Centre site, it is understood.

NHS England said the facility would be available to support the capital's hospitals if needed.

It sent a letter to trusts on 23 December asking them to plan for the use of additional facilities such as the Nightingale hospitals.

Dr Nick Scriven, the former president of the Society for Acute Medicine, said: "It is not 'just the case' of using the Nightingale hospital as there are simply no staff for them to run as they were originally intended.
"They could play a role perhaps if used as rehabilitation units for those recovering but, again, where do we find the specialist staff - the NHS simply does not have the capacity to spare anyone."

From the same BBC article that you quoted from, I guess you missed that bit. Let’s use the car engine scenario but change the car engine for NHS staff 🤫[emoji6]
Maybe it’s time for the NHS to sound the bugle and re recruit the 47.000 that volunteered back at the height of COVID....... 42.000 of which that were never used. (Figures from the Daily Mail 30-12-2020)
  13. As I said, believe what you choose, bit it's UNLIKELY it's been closed.
If you believe that you can move in with Shull, that'll push you over the edge.
PS I seen  tv crew earlier at the venue which, while not fully operational, was STILL there.
Another case of people, seemingly being unable to see/read something and make a decision if it's possible, likely or not.
Jeezo, the fecking worlds gone mad.

So. As stated in many media outlets (including the Telegraph, The Daily Mail and the Mirror) The Nightingale ExCel in London has been dismantled with many items including beds and ventilators being removed completely and distributed elsewhere. Partition screens, desks and chairs have been moved and piled up within the building, so in theory it is still there. (It’s a bit like taking the engine out of your car and saying the car can still run....... it most likely will if you put the engine back) It has also been stated that the NHS does not have the staff available to man the Nightingale as they’re currently struggling to cope due to staff (Doctors, nurses, admin, porters etc) that are off sick. Indeed....... the world has gone mad.
  14. Your post said it was gone? default_laugh.png
    Not quite the same?
PS Believe what you like, I was astounded when I seen your initial post, which turned out to be wrong, and unlikely, to say the least.

London’s Nightingale hospital remains on standby for use despite the removal of some equipment from the site.

England’s hospitals are currently seeing more Covid-19 patients than at the first-wave peak of the virus in April.

NHS England sent a letter to trusts on December 23 asking them to plan for the use of additional facilities such as the Nightingale hospitals amid rising numbers of patients with the virus.

It is understood some equipment which was initially at the ExCel centre site in London is no longer there, including beds and ventilators.

A spokesperson for the NHS said: “The Nightingale in London remains on standby and will be available to support the capital’s hospitals if needed.

The link to the video I posted from Richard Tice was where it was stated that it was closed. It’s amazing that media outlets can have such conflicting reports. I wonder which ones are telling porkies [emoji848]
  15. Both. Just lost my father on  Xmas day. Was one of above.

Sorry to hear that chap. My father was a resident in Braemount until his passing many years ago. My mother is currently in Cochrane care home and so far she’s been dodging the COVID bullets. Haven’t seen her in any capacity since March 7th.
