  1. Just watched the goals back. What’s struck me between that and the Thistle game is that they were much better with patterns of play. The Queens second, a one-two, bit of movement and it’s a goal.
When was the last time we scored a genuinely well worked goal? Everything seems to be from set pieces or lumps up the park (Obika v Hearts).
I was hoping that October might ease the pressure of Jim, but I’m not seeing it. Yet. He might be one of those managers that works better as a ‘plucky underdog’ (Alloa), but when you’re on the front foot then it’s not there.
Plus, what the f**k has Connolly got to do to start a game?!

Graeme Carey v Hearts........ that was a goal of beauty

  2. Yes , yes but what happened to the seasonal flu this season ? Why are people getting flu shots ? It seems that covert-21 mouse plague , has erradicted seasonal flu......

Not sure, but maybe this will give a bit of clarity.

  3. The 4 people who died would not have contracted the disease in the last 2 days, there is no direct linkage between these people and the 1526 who tested positive there is a time lag  - your 0.5% figure is meaningless!
What we do know is that
    • Cases are rising
    • Hospitalizations are rising
    • Deaths  are rising
and that these facts need to be taken into consideration when making current decisions!
Let's look at the stats again in a fortnight [emoji207][emoji207][emoji207][emoji207][emoji207] - right back atya!
PS - I'm sure one of your compadres [mention=7588]stlucifer[/mention] said there were no deaths today,

The alleged 4 Covid deaths were on Friday, the figure of 1,526 was reported on STV, I’m assuming either for Friday & Saturday or Saturday and Sunday.

Out of that figure, I’ve no idea the age grouping, how many had underlying conditions or how many actually died directly from Covid.

    Scottish Government

    @scotgov

801,319 people in Scotland have been tested for #coronavirus

The total confirmed as positive has risen by 758 to 32,209 (32,209 is the overall total, not the current amount of people that have Covid)

The number of deaths of patients who tested positive remains at 2,530

  4. This is what I said
which is not what I said, merely pointing out a fact, that there's a time lag - for the second time!
The clue was there in the text all along - whooodathunkit? :1eye

According to STV. 1,526 new cases in two days, 4 deaths where COVID is mentioned on the death certificate (not necessarily what they died of) ........ less than .5%

I won’t hold my breath waiting for bodies piling up in the morgue. Meantime businesses are going to the wall, suicides are up (COVID related) ......... but let’s listen to Boris and Nicola, they know what’s best.
let’s look at the stats after two weeks on the 1,526 and see where we are.

  5. Yeah where did I say either of these things, but the linkages and the time differentials are on record and are clear to see for anyone who cares to look.

I didn’t say that you did chap, I’m merely stating a fact.
  6. OK. Around 700 cases announced today. No deaths. How current do you want to be? Or does that not suit your narrative.

To me the only figures that count are the number cases v the number of deaths. If the cases are going up, but only a few have died in the past week........ surely that’s a good thing?
If the number of cases are rising and only a few deaths, does the threat of further lockdowns make sense?
I’m all for protecting the vulnerable (I haven’t been able to see my mother since March due to only two nominated family members being permitted) but the rest of us should be looking at getting back to some kinda normalcy.

  7. I could understand the anger and unrest if Magennis had actually been playing, bossing games, chipping in with goals........ but he’s not, and no guarantee that when fit he actually could. He’s better going now and the club getting cash, than walking away for at the end of the season.

  8. On the video you posted that I saw, the police were largely allowing their faces to be seen, wearing enhanced PPE such as caps (albeit protective ones) rather than helmets and without the shields, shin protectors and other stuff that they actually wear in a riot situation but to address your comment, given the provocation and obvious concern on the faces of the police officers that things were threatening to get nasty, then they would probably have been justified to get the full kit on.
So since when is wearing protective equipment classed as a provocation?  (i'm guessing that is what you alluded to when you questioned the use of what you term riot gear")
Apologies for the typo, i'm guessing you are whiter than white

Whiter than white, are you meaning in terms of contact with the law? If so, please see previous post [emoji56]
  9. And at that time you'll see officers getting sprayed with a liquid.

Who knows what that liquid is.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m pro police and law and order. Like in every other business or institution you’ll get good and bad. I’ve never had a run in with the law and have friends in the police.
People that act in the manner in the link deserve to be locked up, but it’s way worse than the incident with the woman protester IMO.

  10. You mean this lady....like I said previously if all you listen too is unregulated media then your not getting a balanced view.

I honestly don’t believe you get a balanced view from many of the main broadcasters like the BBC, Sky etc. Remember the alleged BBC bias in 2014 in the run up to the referendum? John Sweeney/Panorama also caught with their pants down.
Anne Brees was an ex BBC reporter, I remember watching her being interviewed by James English over a year ago regarding the BBC cover up of Jimmy Saville among other high profile names.
  11. riot gear is helmets, shields, visors, cut proof trousers and more.  to call this riot gear is just making shit up to prove your own point
Vaccinations-they serve the greater good but if you dont like them dont take one and don't try and deny the rest of society the opportunity to protect themselves.
seem more like a convenient excuse for a rammy, to me.  there were some well-pished prouble makers in this footage

I don’t know who rattled your cage.

My mistake. I thought helmets complete with visor and neck protector, body armour, etc was classed as riot gear?
I never mentioned anything about vaccinations, or am I missing something. The protest I believe was more about the restrictions/lockdown madness versus the fatalities which in turn are taking liberties and freedoms away.

“Prouble” maker??? We’re you pissed when you wrote your reply?
  12. Was that the lady that was waving a long stick about above the passing officers heads.

You'll notice the picture is edited missing a section out. Wonder what happened there.

Watch it all again, every clip in the videos show police officers responding in force to attacks on them first.

I’m referring to the woman in the video.
I have the full video which looks unedited and from a different angle. She was no threat to the police but yet gets pushed to the ground and what looks like punched in the stomach. Or was that edited?
  13. I'm not completely sure what happened there. It's not very clear.
What I do know is that a hoarde of aggressive thugs decided to attack the police.
I think that woman is seen on this other video here: Again I can't be certain what happened with her.  I have to say that people who treat the police like this, try to provoke a reaction out of them whilst filming it and then run crying to the press when they end up hurt need to have a good look at themselves. It's very easy to criticise the police from behind a warm safe PC screen. In the middle of that it must have been a nightmare.

I don’t know why the police had to turn up in riot gear. This was nothing like the Brexit or BLM protests, there were families there, general Joe public, left, right, black, white, old and young. I didn’t see a hoard of thugs in any of the footage that I’ve seen. Granted, there will be some idiots in amongst them.
Another video was of a very well spoken 59 year old man that had been punched in the face by a police officer. The guy was with two females that I suspect were his wife and daughter.
  14. I said “video evidence of heavy handedness” I didn’t say it was within that video. Unfortunately the video I have proving my point, I can’t upload it on here. No doubt it’ll appear on YouTube so I’ll attach the link.
There’s a woman I’d say around 60 years old (very well dressed and respectable looking) standing on a chair waving what looks like a small flag. A police officer comes from behind and pulls said chair away from her causing her to fall forward. Another officer grabs her flag and pulls the woman towards him. It looks like he then punches her in the stomach causing her to fall backwards on to the ground.

  15.

A varied selection of society attended that protests yesterday, last week the media called them conspiracy theorists and right wing.

Video evidence of some very heavy handed tactics by the Police TSG, absolutely no need for that level of force.
