  1. 7 black officers have been killed by gunfire so far in 2020 [emoji1573]‍♀️[emoji6]
  2. There’s a lot of debate about whether lockdown was effective or not, but during the initial few months period, flights/ferries and dinghies were still arriving every day, no checks, no quarantine. In my opinion it kinda defeated the purpose.
  3. Why have a dog and bark yourself as they say [emoji6] More white folks have been killed by police than blacks, but taking the overall demographics that would be expected. However I for one haven’t lived in a black “hood” so I can’t talk from experience...... but. These areas by all accounts are known high crime areas, drugs, prostitution, gangs and homicides. These troubled areas also attract a higher police presence to patrol those areas. With all that in mind, there’s bound to be interactions between said criminals and the police..... which on occasion doesn’t end well for one or other. America has approximately 35 millions blacks, 123 of those were killed by police in 2019, 80% were armed and deemed a justifiable killing. So for it to be said as a fact that police routinely go out to kill black people is totally incorrect. There are approximately 800.000 law enforcement officers in America. Out of that 800.000 48 police officers were murdered last year, 44 were shot and 4 where a vehicle was used, 37 killed so far to date this year. These figures come from the FBI site, not from a data platform BTW. So on those stats, there’s more chance of a police officer being killed than a black person being killed by police. Wouldn’t you agree?
  4. That’s not backing up your claim. I remember a certain media outlet claimed a Lancaster bomber was allegedly found on the moon......... turned out that was incorrect. I remember we were told that Iraq had WOMD...... turned out that was incorrect.
  5. I don’t agree with your claimed “fact that blacks are routinely murdered by armed police officers”........ that’s a helluva statement. Where did you get that fact from?
  6. You’re at the wind up.......... right? 🤣🤣🤣
  7. Does anyone know if Goodwin stopped doing post match interviews? His interviews used to be put up on YouTube, but I haven’t seen anything since the Livingston game.
  8. I hope those poor students aren’t too distressed by our history. Good to see the university is listening to the BLM movement.......... the same BLM movement applauding the attempted assassination of two police officers at the weekend.
  9. What has to be taken into consideration. 1. For two of the goals, could have been prevented if the defence had done its job. 2. He only met his team mates probably an hour or two before the game. 3. I believe Hearts only started back training again, so fitnesses levels not where they normally would for September. As you said fella, he came in and pulled us out the shit, so fair play to him.
  10. Last thing we need is another player that sells the jerseys [emoji87]
  11. True........ maybe their fans are saying the same thing.
  12. That was my thoughts. They’re not exactly in the Melbourne City bracket.
  13. From what I read, it was lobbyist groups that were consulted and made up the representation at the debate in Parliament. 1000 responses out of how many? I certainly wasn’t asked my opinion, were you?
  14. I must admit, I’m not a big admirer of Sturgeon and have drifted away from the SNP after 2014. However, in her defence WRT COVID she was in a “dammed if you do” situation and at the start of COVID where no one globally in her role knew what to do. In saying that as time went on and over the worst of COVID in terms of deaths etc, she still seems to change her mind like the weather. Yes more cases have been recorded of late, but virtually no one is dying from it now. The more people I speak to and even reading comments on here, I think her popularity is waning.
  15. I read an article (can’t find it at the moment) that the proposed bill is causing a bit of a stir at the European Convention on Human Rights over the legality of such a move. We’ve survived for years with bigotry which from a government point, have done nothing to put an end to it. I’m not a lover of the various seasonal parades from either the Orange Order or the Republican side, but they do have that right to march, which I respect from a legal point. But this bill from what I’ve read and my understanding is correct is a bit more sinister. As far as I’m aware there has been no consideration to or consultation with the people of Scotland on how they feel about this bill. I know on the BAWA forum we all disagree at times, and personal insults are flung between participants, but does that now mean members could have a knock at the door from the local constabulary (thought division) if a member takes offence at a comment that may not be directed at the offendee ?
  16. Sloppy Guiseppe and an American Hot........ you ordered a couple o strippers?
  17. My comment regarding Covid part 2 was a bit of sarcasm. Let’s be honest, the way governments deal with the situation at times is laughable (including our own) As far as apathy by individual countries, it’s not a one size fits all. Some countries seemed to fair better than others with lesser restrictions. I’m in no way knocking you for your views and approach on this, you have to do what you believe is best for you and your family.
  18. I’ve done plenty of research. At the end of the day some people will just accept what they’re being told. As I said on another post, it’s what specialist are we supposed to listen to. Fact 1. More testing = more positive cases/false positives. Would you agree with that one? Fact 2. The death rate has fallen in Scotland at least to virtually feck all. Would you agree with that one? Second wave. Is that a fact that it’s going to happen? No, it’s not, it’s a prediction. No doubt come flu season it’ll somehow be rebranded as COVID part 2. You are entitled to believe what you want, listen to whichever specialist you want. Remember. Wear your mask, wash your hands and enjoy the rest of your evening. (mind and social distance)
  19. Experts the likes of Neil Ferguson? There have been other “experts” that have been openly criticised and in some cases been put on administrative leave for daring to go against the WHO narrative. Who to believe?.........Who knows.
  20. I keep reading about this second wave. Is there really going to be one....... or will it just be seasonal flu? Who are the experts that are predicting this, what’s it based on? As you’ve stated, you test more people you’ll get more positives/false positives. 5 people in intensive care, no mention of age or underlying conditions being given anymore....... why? Of all those new cases that have forced local lockdowns........ how many have died? how many are in hospital? IMO we need to try get back to normal, i for one have had enough.
  21. Did someone mention Russian? [emoji635]
  22. That was kinda my point chap. FYI. That form was put through my door, along with documents for voting registration. (I’m renting a flat in Aberdeen as I had to come up here for my job) I took a pic and posted it on here......... it’s not some screen grab from the internet. So from what I’m reading in your post, you’re basically agreeing with me. I know the legal process on immigration too well and how many hurdles there are to get over. My point was. IMO....... that’s the key phrase. Unless you have gained citizenship complete with a British passport, you don’t get a vote. If you’re a foreign national and are in the application process to gain citizenship and a passport, you don’t get a vote.
