  1. Said before the Killie game I thought we needed 17 points to survive. 5 games, 5 defeats and 0 goals later... Yep, that's now an impossible target.

Time for the u20's to get a shot.

I think the under 20's getting a shot has been part of the problem all season. Too many of them in the first team without enough experience to guide them through games.

  2. Hello men from Thessaloniki,Greece .My name is Antonis .

I am a PAOK Salonica fan and we wear the same colors as St Mirren.

For some reason myself and most other PAOK fans support teams wearing black and white on t.v ...

I wonder if we can form a group , say in facebook , made up of soccer teams around the world wearing black and white. Interested ?

Let me give you an idea of what our soccer ground looks like in important home games .

  3. Aye, seconds

They ran us ragged that day! Asfor DLs budget being cut.........

EVERYONES f**kING BUDGET HAS BEEN CUT!!!!!!!!!!!!! ITS f**kING IRRELEVANT!

Correct, Dundee Utd were the better team but a sign of a good team is to pick up points when not playing well.

To be seconds, and it was seconds, away from picking up 3 points against Dundee Utd when we played so bad is a good sign.

  4. I'm not disputing that in general terms, but the monkey with the crayon who reckoned Danny has had us bottom of the SPL for as long as Gus did is not far wrong if he is wrong at all. This concerns me.

Gus had us at the bottom of the league towards the end of the season.

Lets see where Danny has us towards the end of this season, then you can start being concerned if we're still bottom.

We're 7 games in, away and dry your knickers.

  5. Obviously he did, but what is worrying is (admitadly according to one of the tabloids yesteday) that Danny has already had us bottom for as long as Gus did in his entire time at Saints. I'm not sure which paper it was, it may have been the Star or the Metro, it was left on a train, but their stat wont be far wrong if it is wrong at all.

I stand to be convinced by Danny, before Saturday I thought we were sure things for relegation but we played far better in the second half than I've seen us paly under him before, I'm hopeful, but not convinced.

There is a reason for it being left on the train. The reason being; it contains utter pish.

  6. dundee utd was a good result, even though we were very lucky, we lost to ross county in the cup and at the time the hibs result was good but its came to light that everyone can beat them..............yogi got the boot because of it!

I would say we were very unlucky as we were seconds away from gaining all 3 points.

  7. What is "refreshing" about being bottom of the league, getting knocked out of the cup in the first round to lower league opposition, having our worst start to a season in 20 years, playing even more negative football than the previous manager, having a lack of scouting contacts and not playing any youth players?

Bottom of the league after 7 games. The league table should not be looked at until teams have played each other atleast once, maybe even twice.

Getting knocked out of the cup to Ross County away from home is no shame. Did you forget they went to the Scottish Cup Final last year beating Celtic and Hibs on the way?

I'd like to see your proof that this is the worst start to the season in 20 years, but its not about how the season starts, its more about how it ends, and the last few seasons with Gus as manager has meant the season ends with a poor run of form and scraping through survival.

The football is not more negative than the previous manager, we have only failed to score against Celtic this season.

The comment about scouting contacts is ridiculous. Gus MacPherson constantly signed players who were injury prone or players who were has beens and sometimes players who were both!

Another ridiculous comment about youth players. Atleast DL puts them on the bench, MacPherson's decision to only name 5 subs at times last season instead of putting youngsters on the bench was another example of him generally being a wee shite.

  8. Too many pints. Please accept my profound apologies for such a mistake, I will endevour not to make such a gross error again.

You clearly understand the content of my post, what was the need in pointing out a typo? Does it make you feel really intellegent? If you're that sad and bored, why don't you go through the full archive of the forum and count how many spelling errors you can find, and check for grammar while you're at it. Actually, why don't you just trawl the full WWW looking for typos, it seems that is your calling in life.

    It's actually endeAvour. :)

  9. That is the aspect I find most annoying about Danny's time in charge (not the performance on the park). Many fans appear to be gullable and be appeased by his "open managerial approach." It's not possible to be transparent in the world of football management, everyone has a motive and anyone who says otherwise is lying. I would more often than not suggest his style is manipulative. Call me a synic if you want, but that is the conclusion I have come to.

The abridged version for those who can't read a full paragraph

He's ripping the hole out the fans and people don't see it.

I won't call you a synic. I might call you a cynic though.

    What exactly is a synic?
