If you're not fussed about McGinn leaving then we might aswell shut the place! He's about the only talented player who's worth something that we have! Sad times -

smtidcz reacted to Stuart Dickson in Jd Sports "undisputed" King Of Trainers
Oh dear - here we have a fashion victim.
I've got two kids. One is an athlete and the other loves playing football. The athlete undeniably knows his footwear because it is particularly important in his field. He would never buy a pair of trainers from JD Sports for two reasons.
1. They have no qualified staff with the relevant expertise or knowledge to tell you whether a trainer is suitable for your gait.
2. They are over priced and typically are no more than fashion shoes that are pointless for the use in sport.
He will however buy from Sports Direct despite the fact that their staff are not trained either. He will do so having had his gait assessed, by knowing that he is an over pronator and by doing his own homework to discover specific names of shoes within a brand that are suitable for him to wear. And the reason he'll do that at Sports Direct is because typically they are the cheapest by a long way.
Those who are serious about their feet really should get along to one of the major athletics stores like Run4It, or Achilles Heel or look up Asiacs gait analysis events that are held around the country.

The ones I bought are just black trainers. The memory foam inserts are dead comfy.I didn't buy them to make a fashion statement or because I care about the brand name on my feet. I bought them cos' they're great for walking around in.
Edit: ...and because they weren't from JD Sports.

You thought Plummer was poor against Hamilton? He was one of the few on the park to get pass marks...he strolled through the game and looked a class above the rest of the team! I almost felt the need to personally apologise to him! Were you at the match?
Also...Isma? Consistent? The guy gained legendary status for a few huge performances and a few massive goals and I'll alway be grateful to him for that, but let's be honest, he looked pretty uninterested a lot of the time. A great player but never consistent...

Strange one.... very strange.
Man City boy played well at left back v the wee Rovers.
Kelly finished last season as our first choice lb.
Yakub has recovered from injury and pre season played as lb.
So we sign an ex lb who left to join a team that struggled against relegation!!!!
Are we planning to convert him into a no nonsense central defender? If not, WHY?

Isma was amazing, truly amazing. I sometimes pinch myself and wonder "did Isma really exist or did I imagine him?"
Anyway, for much of last season we did not really have a partner for Thommo. Adam Campbell threatened to plug that gap but for some reason Daniel Lennon decided to sign him to fill the Aaron Mooy spot on our bench beside Djemba Djemba.
One can only imagine the tactical nuances that Tommy Craig's mind will be filled with but I certianly hope we can find an effective foil for Thommo's toil.

When I saw cheesy in there I thought this was another knocking post about a back none, then I read the rest of your positive post and realised it was a pleasing typo. -

Plenty of Personal Bests confirmed tonight.
Highest SPL finish.....check
Highest Points total.....check
Most goals scored in an SPL season......check
Least SPL Defeats.....check
Most SPL clean sheets.....check
All achieved this season. Anyone still want to argue that we aren't progressing in the correct manner? Anyone?

smtidcz reacted to Saint4life in Craig Dargo
In fairness to McShane, the game swung in our favour when he came on against United as we could hold the ball better upfront. Also tracked back exceptionally well and put in a cracking slide challenge right infront of the away faithful. I think whether it's his time or no he deserves a wee chance to prove himself which won't happen if we bring in another striker to put ahead of him in the pecking order.

This really annoys me about some saints fans! We see about 5mins of McQuade in a game and 'hes not a player' and 'he'll never make it'. Judge him once he has played at least a handfull of games then you may be entitled to say hes not good enough, but you never know he may surprise you! But i guess youve already made up your mind.

Still liked the wee man though - wish him every success now, and in the future.

Church groups do a fair bit for community, my wee one goes to playgroup at one a couple of times a week for example. If it uses part of the ground on a day when the club don't use it then fair enough,
it's not going to be forced baptisms in the dressing rooms or anything wacko.
