  1. Oooof the posters on here won`t like this....no need for statements and all that....
  2. Na, the posters on here don`t need any official statements!!!!
  3. Skullduggery indeed. If Ross has joined Sunderland then Gordon Scott has put on record that he has done this in a dishonest way. It would be a disappointing end to Jack`s career at Saints. Especially after we signed a non-league player yesterday, presumably one that JR endorsed. COYS!
  4. Usually a club will make a statement regarding speculation about an employee of the club. Nobody at SMFC did that. All we know is based on hearsay and rumors and tidbits...If it wasn`t for div and the like we wouldn't`t know anything. And we still have no official word....silence from May 10th to 16th. Fair enough - just thought there was supposed to be more transparency with fan ownership. I`m not a fan of refreshing Twitter every 2 minutes and relying on teasers for information!!!
  5. Is anyone else disappointed by the lack of information (silence) from within the club? We`ve had to rely on teasers from Twitter to have any idea of what`s been going on. I thought this was all supposed to change under new management. Or is it just me?
  6. Jack has a fantastic knowledge of the Scottish game. And good connections. He`s tapped into that by picking up a few real gems. It`s a big risk for Barnsley. Jack`s knowledge of the lower leagues in England has to be limited. Also, he has no transfer window to shuffle things around (as he did with us). In saying that, what sets Jack apart from the rest is his man-management skills. He`s sharp and he`s a winner. I think he will stay. Ross hasn't`t won anything yet. A Barnsley relegation on his CV could be harmful. If he goes now it could damage his long term future. If he plays the waiting game he can probably take his pick of a number of bigger clubs in the summer or beyond. Jack has to be looking at (or speaking with) McInnes. Sometimes England isn`t the best option. There is hope!
  7. The last time St Mirren came toe-to-toe with a Premiership club was the 5-0 defeat to Partick Thistle in the Betfred Cup group stage in July. Jack Ross knows the team will have to be at their best to prevent another defeat like that. The gaffer said: "We didn't play well on the day and Partick played very well, but I got some things wrong in terms of how I approached the game. That was good for me, because I learned from that. Would be interesting to know what he did that day as we were rank rotten!!!
  8. Calm down, Ned. Aye - was at the game today. Main stand season-ticket holder. Like last week, the performance was shocking! We`ve now shipped 6 in the last two games. Worse than Ian Murray!!!!!
  9. Don`t worry folks! NedFlanders123 says there is nothing shocking about this team!!!
  10. How exactly will AR turn this around? I believe he has a a similar management style to that of the lads at Salford FC. Some players get on board. At least for a short while...But once the players get over that style then you have a problem. We obviousley need a different approach. 1 point from 4 is poor. And to ship 3 against Albion was shocking. I say give AR more time but what else does he have in the locker?
  11. Get Jack Ross in... What a job he is doing at Alloa. Rae is just a thug, no?
  12. What about Farid El Alagui? Released by Hibernian. Decent player.
  13. Why did GT pass on Miles Storey? Or did Storey pass on GT? Another one that got away! 2 strikers in at Aberdeen now...
  14. Talking pish but Don Cowie has just been released by Wigan. Aren't Rae and Caldwell buddies?
  15. If I remember correctly did Murray not say he would walk if by December we were languishing at the bottom end of the table?
  16. Having a moan? I only posted to show my support for someone who made a valid point only to be cut-down. Similar "ta-ta" comments have now been made to me. There is enough moaning on here for you to know I am not a moaner (far from it, check my history). All I am saying is we need to listen to what this guy is saying... Constructive criticism is what they call it!!! I have suggested the mods get involved. Or why not make ME a moderator! Perhaps we can cap the amount of posts per day? Have a line of "express" threads with a hardline on bitching....?
  17. We need quality over quantity. Is this not the responsibility of the moderators? Just look at the Jamie Langfield thread. The first thread I looked at today (because it was at the top) and surprise surprise it ends predictably. This forum might be popular but it could be so much better. I love coming here but it is getting tiresome. Don`t you agree?
  18. Let`s face it the original poster has a point. The forum used to be a hotbed for St.Mirren-related discussion but the quality has decreased in recent years. Most of the threads start positively but quickly turn to childish bitching (usually by the same dull members). It`s a chore to sift through pages of egotistic/obnoxious/verbal diarrhoea just to find something vaguely on-topic. Others posters find it hilarious and necessary to post absolute nonsense. Many posts are impossible to read because of the atrocious use of the English language. Instead of allowing posters to walk away why don`t we accept that we need to make the forum better? Why not raise the standards? It is important to do this now more than ever because of other outlets such as St.Mirren radio and TV. Just a thought.
  19. Keep the faith. Very young team. Flashes of good football. Despite 45,000 Gers on their backs. MON RA SAINTS.
  20. Hibs are a poor team. I think this reflects John`s performance last season. Deep down he will be gutted that Stubbs is the only one who took a punt. Pressure is already on the wee man to be a made-to-measure replacement for Allan. Poor boy. Easter Road will be an unforgiving place. Mon ra Saints!
