Richie P reacted to East Lothian Saint in Motherwell v St Mirren Scottish Cup Replay 18/2/20
Trains back to North Berwick don't run late enough to get home from midweek games. Especially ones with extra time and penalties, so we stayed in Motherwell last night. Had a great time. The Motherwell fans we met after the game were all great company.
Last night was a classic. Absolutely loved it. Second half was a bit scary but we hung on and snatched victory from the jaws of defeat.
Awesome.

Yip. I agree with Thommo. 3 points more important than the cup game. But who says we cant win both games. Coys. -

Of course we should be trying to win things. I want the Cup and 7th place this season by winning all our remaining games. Let's go for it

Seen a stat today that Livi have only conceded against us, Rangers and possibly aberdeen all season at home. Coming back from one was going to be tough....

In his post-match interview JG was clear that he had deliberately set up defensively to avoid losing a hatful of goals like a few other teams have done against Rangers and Celtic this season. In my view that makes sense. It's often been said previously that our fate won't be decided by games against Rangers and Celtic but by the games against the teams around us in the bottom six. So it's sensible to set up against Rangers and Celtic to protect our goal difference, as that is likely to be very important at the end of the season.
JG also made it clear in the interview that he wouldn't be setting the team up this way against other teams in the league. Seems a reasonable way of looking at things.
On to Aberdeen on Sunday and...….COYS!!

I guess 3 v 1 is not something we’ve practiced for a while.

I heard Chick Young mentioning that's it's our 100th year in the top league. I'm glad someone has picked up on this. I noticed it during the summer but haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else.
I think the 100 years thing is something that we should be displaying prominently on the cover of the programme, team sheets, etc (assuming it isn't already).
Get the information out there to anyone who is in any doubt about the stature of the club. We needn't apologise for being in the top league when it's where we've spent a massive chunk of the club's history, and a lot longer than many other clubs have.
Promoting the 100 years milestone is a far more convincing way of raising the club's profile than the pishy fudging of fake attendance figures that the likes of Dunfermline are doing.

I Know Motherwell have a guy working with them that works on re habilitation and getting guys fit with chronic injuries. I think part of their strategy is picking up good players who are considered a crock and get this guy working on them. When Moult was signed he had a chronic injury (pelvic or hamstring) I’m told he couldn’t shoot from the edge of the box due to this injury until this guy started working on him.
I suppose sometimes you need to think outside the box rather than going with the old tried and trusted method.
Also this guy worked on Steven Whittaker when he moved to Hibs from Norwich.
P.s. don’t know if all the players mentioned were all crocks before signing on at Motherwell.

Hopefully you are right and that improvement is sustained.
Would be unique... I'm old enough to remember the abuse Billy Stark used to get for being "Lazy"! -

The very nature of attempted humour is that sometimes it works and sometimes it fails. If half the room laughs is it a failure?
It's not his failed humour which has caused her to cry.
It's her reaction to his humour.
You can argue that although you are responsible for your own reactions to things she was maybe caught out by it but there is absolutely no argument for blaming the comedian for her reaction.
I don't understand your point about Boyle at all.
Everyone knows what his brand of humour is like. If you don't like him you have the choice not to watch him. Nobody is forcing anyone to listen to his jokes. BUT to then go to his concerts knowing what he is like and then complain about being offended would makes that person look pretty daft.

Hamilton paid us for Brian rice.
Scott is certainly not perfect, but he's far from the demon that he's being painted as by some of the more insular (and I'm being polite here) members of our support.
