If we follow the path of Livingston, Sheffield United Getafe - ditch the passing game and play it long - we too can punch above our weight.
Unfortunately, Goodwin will send his team out to play the passing game as per usual
And we will lose
Booooo! We don’t play a passing game. We play an Infuriating and wasteful long ball game.
Changing to a passing game is what we should be doing. The goal at Livingston through the week is exactly the kind of football we’re capable of playing and we’re far better at that than trying to gain second balls off of Obika. -
200k for Paul McGinn 😂😂

Danny Mullen isn't a Premiership level striker and if we aspire to climb the league and consolidate year on year then we need to carry a strike force of a higher calibre. That said, i'm not entirely convinced Morias is any better than him..
We must have another striker lined up that is clearly much better than what we have in the squad at the moment.
Good luck to Danny, he tried his hardest but unfortunately, much like Cammy Smith, the Premiership was a step too high for him.

Take it this is the same guy moaning to Div on Twitter about getting pulled up for using the term ‘coloured’?
I muted him as soon as i seen his tweets. Utterly mental bastard.

Macron are indeed good but I suspect if we got an Adidas kit again and training gear with the club badge it would put sell anything. What is clear tho is that Joma have been quite poor but as we know it’s only a kit
The one thing that would be good if we managed to strike a deal with Adidas (not off the peg versions) is that they/we would now have the rights to reproduce versuibs of kits from our previous times with Adidas. That would be a tidy bit of business and they'd fly off the shelves. Needs to be the old badge though!

The new strip is poor. I have seen it up close in real life and it’s still v poor. It’s a stupid idea to have a two stripes and a sponsor making it look ridiculous. The away top is shocking and clearly targeted at kids which is fair enough. I’d just like a regular black and white kit like the 2013 one maybe with a collar and made by a decent manufacturer. No harm to Joma but the gear is second rate compared to Adidas, Nike and Macron. It’s also available at half the price from most online kit stockists. Anyhow I haven’t bought a kit since the 2013 but would if we got a cracker . Please next year off the peg Adidas with our badge and sponsor.
Have a look at what 'off the peg Adidas' provide for Accies. They're equally as bad as Joma.
Macron is the way forward. They produce some cracking kits and actually seem to put a bit of effort into design.

Think that's a bit harsh
At Aberdeen he's been papped out on the left side and not played as an out and out striker like he was at St Johnstone
Even though his goal record has been poor at Aberdeen he's still offered plenty of graft
I suspect this is his agent trying to get some interest but I would take him in a flash
Not harsh at all. He's not been very good at Aberdeen and despite all his 'graft' he's produced hee haw. Hence why Aberdeen are trying to shift him.
I'm not really interested in strikers that 'graft' all over the place, we've had plenty of them in past who weren't very good. I'm interested in strikers that score goals and Stevie May isn't one of them anymore.
-
This could be a sensational signing or a Stephane Bahoken level one - depending on which Stevie May turns up.
He has been utterly horrendous for Aberdeen and i wouldn't touch him but if Jim could get the St.Johnstone version of him from somewhere then we've got some striker on our hands.

Swansea's 19/20 away kit...
Would've made us a cracking home top in black and white imo

Point still stands
Does it? Do you reckon with our managerial history, we'd be throwing a contract extension this summer to a guy who was already on a three year deal ?
It wouldn't even have been a consideration.

I thought it was touch and go as to with he should have had his contract extended

I thought anybody could buy any seat he wanted now as long as it was not a season ticket seat from last season.
Ah, sorry, never knew that. Thought the ST deadline was 30.06 then general sale.
Cheers lads

Hoping someone can answer this one for me...
I plan on renewing my ST tomorrow afternoon in person at the club and i would also like to buy the seat next to me for my brother. Will this be possible or would i have to renew and then wait till general sale to purchase his seat ?

Don’t shoot the messenger but I’ve heard from a decent source - a Saints supporting journo - that Fitzy could be next out the door.
Apprently GLS not too happy with him.

What do folks think about Mark McGhee taking over from Kearney ?
He'd be banned from the touchline for our first six fixtures if he was appointed.

How can we talk about anyone being under qualified for the job when the last managerial appointment we made was a PE teacher?
Our last managerial appointment was a part-time football manager. The same role Jim Goodwin currently holds.

Goodwin was a clear leader on the park and will be off it also. He got part time Alloa prompted then kept part time Alloa in the championship. Alloa fans love Jim Goodwin and dont want him to leave. No question Jim should be St Mirren manager.
I'm not so sure that being promoted from League 1 to the Championship and the fans loving you qualifies to manage St.Mirren in the Premiership.
Also, Jack had far more coaching experience under his belt before he arrived at Saints than Jim.
-
So, it looks as though OK is out on his arse and Jim Goodwin is #1 on the list... Purely as a new topic of discussion, If it wasn't a Saint Mirren legend and solely a nobody Alloa manager, would we be happy with the appointment? I know his job last season with limited resources was fantastic but can't help feel he's under qualified for the job. Especially when he has only got three weeks to build a squad before the serious stuff kicks off -unless we write off the League Cup to give him slightly more time.
I wouldn't be up in arms if we do appoint JG but i'm not so sure his credentials qualify him for the job..

Why? Absolutely nothing has happened !
If nothing has happened there wouldn't be a credible media story about our manager leaving the club doing the rounds !

Goodwin was Dundee’s 1st choice then he pulled out the running and they gave it to McPake claiming he was 1st choice.
It’s going to be an interesting few days but If Goodwin comes in then I fully expect him and Scott to clash as well.
Christ... Sounds like an absolute cluster f**k with GLS at the helm.

The fact that Gordon Scott has his boaby stuck in Macpherson’s arse 90% of the time won’t be helping matters either.
You reckon he's a shoe in for the gig once OK goes ?
