  1. Rumour has it there's a game on tomorrow and most of you argumentative bastards will be there. I'll be taking my nephew to his second ever Saints game and he'll have a brilliant day. Let's get back to talking about fitba.
  2. Agree with all of this. I loved the old place. Walking up the slope to the North Bank was f**king brilliant and I didn't mind getting soaked from above when I used the toilet. I always felt that the troughs could've done with a wee bit of Jif tho [emoji3] Remember they were always coated with a kind of green algae?
  3. A very hard working and experienced striker, who still looks fit. I'd take a risk on him, as long as we don't break the bank to do so.
  4. Totally agree with this mate. I hate the 'real fan/genuine fan' stuff but quite why someone would post a lol when we're getting a doing is just weird.
  5. Agreed. Love the regular updates from GS. Slightly concerned that the Fire Alarm system is 'badly in need of updating'. Hope we don't end up in a towering inferno. That would be rubbish.
  6. I like Elvis's insane negativity. It's funny. We should combine him with St Ricky, the ultimate optimist, to produce the perfect St Mirren fan.
  7. Hadn't realised the price was now £22. That's too much. I'll pay it anyway but I reserve the right to mumble and grumble about it.
  8. Brilliant comedian. Not to most people's tastes. But he's made a career out of that. His 'Del Boy falling through the bar' stuff is superb. Tried and failed to post a link to it from Vimeo. Anyone cleverer than me feel free to do so.
  9. Agreed; sometimes we're all guilty of taking things too seriously. Also, I'm glad the forum seems to keep you awake. Was worried you might doze off while driving
  10. I've had a great idea (others may disagree). You could post a review of the quality of the forum every day. It would be like Alex's Angle from the matchday programmes in the 80s. It would need to be alliterative. I propose calling it Shull's Stream of Semi-consciousness. I'd read it.
  11. Possibly. Just thought your response was unnecessary. Anyhoo IOBS doesn't need me to fight his battles for him. Over and out on this one
  12. So are penalties happening just now? Does anyone care? I do
  13. Good post. We're off topic so I'll stop after this one. Jim would have been a risk but one I felt would have been worth taking.
  14. Just wish we'd managed to tempt him for this season. (Ok, a wee bit of hindsight has been employed here, but I did back Gentleman Jim as soon as it became clear we were losing Jack)
  15. Fair enough Shull. The point I'm making is that, despite the rules, this should have been sorted out and you should have been able to buy your programmes today.
  16. Agree mate. However we're a family club. A quick call upstairs to ask if it's ok to bend the rules to accommodate a fan would have sorted this out. My experience of the guys in the shop and over the phone has always been excellent, right enough
  17. Ach, despite ProgrammeGate I bet you buy your programme and enjoy reading it as always. The club does loads of stuff to annoy us but we always forgive them. We can't help ourselves [emoji3]
  18. Not least of which is the split infinitive
  19. What a load of shite. There's nothing wrong with encouraging people to clean up after themselves. You're just being contrary for the sake of it. As usual
  20. Was at that game. Best equaliser ever. IIRC the goal came in about the 5th minute of injury time. Most of the bluebells had already left.
  21. Okdokey Smartypants. Have a begrudging like. Smiley face emojis etc.......
  22. Agreed. Fearless young player and took the only decent penalty tonight
