Although I can certainly see where the 'must win' camp is coming from, I certainly wouldn't put this game in that category.
If we draw we will go 2 behind Killie and there's a decent chance we will go 1 behind both County and Thistle. Hardly all over given we we will play all 3 post split and 4 of our 7 games after this one are at home.
A loss would certainly damaging to moral but it wouldn't be fatal. Out of these 3 games before the split 4 points would be a decent return, 3 wouldn't be bad, anything less than 3 and we will certainly go into the split in big trouble.
I'll save the must wins for the post split matches though.

Billy Davies and Steve Clarke could undoubtably afford to buy out the 52% consortium shares. So could Gordon Scott and who knows who else. Meeting the asking price (or your best offer close to it) is one thing. The bigger challenge is to then have the following in yer' locker...
Ideas and the ability to drive through increased commercial income.
Ideas to utilise under-utilised areas of the stadium.
Ideas to engage properly with supporters and convince them you are genuine.
Forge relations with new commercial partners and keep existing ones sweet.
Represent the club appropriately at SPFL level (although, if any new owner fancied booting Doncaster and Lawell in the stones and ask questions later, they'd get my support).
Build upon the club's community initiatives.
Sort out the club's merchandising ongoing clusterfcuk situation.
There could be a lot more I've forgotten. Ideally I would personally like new owners to be pro-active in the ideas department, and to be far, far, more professional in the way we (seemingly) go about our business as a wee corner shop lucky to be mixing it with bigger clubs.
Stuff that doesn't even cost money. Who was at Tannadice for the 3-2 game? Prior to the game they had an initiative where two ST holders were drawn at random to be upgraded to hospitality and padded seats... then as kick off approached, the stadium PA cranked up several volume levels as Metallica's 'Enter Sandman' belted out. This segued into the Dundee United club song 'Tangerine and black... DUFC!' etc. It ramped up the atmosphere and left you in no doubt you were in Arab country, and this was their patch.
We roll out the red carpet and take it up the arse.... I paraphrase of course.
Someone with a bit of Oomph! must surely be out there! I'd be trying my hardest to get someone to sponsor some sort of video screen/scoreboards in our corners, have video montages made up of Ferguson's goal hitting the net in '87, Aber lifting the cup, Thommo's 2013 League Cup goals, the 'Newtonnnn!' commentary, Goodwin lifting the cup... and more. Shown on the video screens as the PA blasts out 'Bareback' by The Darkness, then Phil gives it a bit of welly as we come out the tunnel.
Fcuk it - rant over! For now.

Seriously if there's anyone struggling to get themselves up for the run in they need to follow a different sport.
In a perverse way I'm actually fired up for the next 8 games or so.
I'm pretty sure the players will be too.
No more games against Celtic, Dundee Utd or Aberdeen.
Every game is a possible win and that must be our attitude..

As I called pre match, we lost something between 1 and 5-0.
First 30 minutes brilliant, last 60 shite.
    Shrug and forget.
    Huge game Tuesday, HUGE.

Almost certainly going to lose anything between 1 and 5 nil, and it will be another of those 'shrug and forget' games, just like every visit to Parkhead has been during Danny's era. We have some vital games coming up though which I think we will get something from, with that in mind I'd go with a team like:
    Kello
    Newton
    Cheesy
    McGregor
    Kelly
    Teale
    Goodwin
    McLean
    Wylde
    Magennis
    Campbell (remember him?)
Give Thommo, Gowser and McGinn a rest and have them fit and ready for the big game Tuesday night.

Our big game is a week on Tuesday at home to St Johnstone, we really need to get something in that one.
We will lose at Parkhead so I wouldn't be averse to giving some of our better players a rest so they're fit and fresh for the following midweek.

Kenny's the kind of player I think would be actually better suited to a higher standard of football than the SPFL Premiership.
He's a very graceful continental style midfielder, but he can be bullied out of the overly physical games we tend to get here. If he does go down to Ipswich it wouldn't surprise me if he thrives at that level.

    I laughed at that
Meanwhile, back in the real world, the current UK government is doing a tremendous job. Osbourne is cutting hard but needs to cut a bit harder in my opinion, kill this deficit.

Dear oh dear, poor old Labour.
On the face of it the budget today looks like a good one. Some really significant changes on pensions and a welcome introduction of a New Pensioners Bond that will pay top interest rates on savings. The Annual ISA limit has to be raised to £15,000 from July. 10% savings tax rate to be abolished. All looks really good. Beer duty down by 1p per pint, whisky frozen, cider frozen, tobacco to rise by 2% above inflation. Air passenger duty cut for long haul flights.
Then Ed Milliband gets up and his car crash meltdown has him ranting about Eton ministers writing a manifesto for work, and some really shit jokes that had only Ed Balls laughing.
Upgraded growth figures look healthy, an all time record high of UK citizens in employment and earnings to rise faster than prices this year. Personal Tax Allowance to be increased to £10,500. 40% tax rate thresholds will be raised in April.

By the same token, football is player's livelihood. Does that mean that we can't discuss which players should or shouldn't be playing, offered contracts, etc?
The supporter's pay Lennon's wages. Part and parcel of being a football manager is dealing with fans who do and don't like him and do or don't want him to stay.
This subject is NOT off limits.
And for the record, I think his contract should be terminated with immediate effect.

Thoroughly enjoyed the night, very well run and really enjoyable, really enjoyable indeed.
I wonder if other top division clubs allow the fans such access to the players?
In any case this is just another example of the fans council doing a good job and providing something fun for the fans. That's me been to a few things now and I can't thank the fans council enough. If I were 40 years younger I would even get involved!
The woman that did the buffet, was that Sally that used to do the corporate hospitality at our dearly departed former home? A pleasant wee blast from the past.

Lennon will be at the club until the end of the season regardless of what happens between now and then.
As a fanbase, we need to accept that, move on, and stop wasting energy on asking for him to be removed before then. We have other more important things to worry about.

Hand ball is one of the greyest areas in the game.
Maybe those evened up the outrageous decision that, Samson aside, would have cost us the League Cup semi last year.
The linesman has a much simpler job. Offside is a rule that is pretty straightforward.
Sometimes it can be tight and hard to call, sometimes it is clear as day.
Yesterday it was so clear, even the United players stopped.
I think Saints fans have every right to be angry over it.
