Is Hughes still under contract at Norwich for another Year? if so then whoever signs him will probably do so with a loan deal as I can't see any clubs in the spl willing or able to fund a transfer fee required.

I seriously doubt that he would be giving anything away if there's any chance of some new faces coming in given the amount of stick he's taken with previous attempts to sign the likes of Gow and Thomson, he's learned to keep things a bit more low profile now with the Goodwin deal a prime example of not making anything public until the deal has been finalized. If he doesn't mention any potential names that he's interested in then it's not so disappointing when they don't come off as the fans haven' t been given the info to build up expectations.

In today's Sunday Mail DL is quoted with the comment " I"ve a wee sum of money there and a list of players, I wouldn't expect much but maybe one or two things might happen."

There's no doubt an SPL outfit who will be willing to take a chance on Stewart with a short term deal, but the guy is such a loose cannon on the pitch and a f****n bad influence in the dressing room I wouldn't let him anywhere near our team.
