  1. You used to be better than this BinEK and are now a big part of the problem unfortunately.
  2. No judging on my part FS but there are a number of domestic games each club can show on PPV platform the last couple of seasons, it may even be something as simple as any game not on a Saturday at 15:00. There is no question that anyone watching these games on their Firestick, Dongle or whatever are denying their own club revenue much in the same way as fare-dodgers on Scotrail do for example...."theft" may be too strong a word right enough.
  3. I would guess the suggestion being that the club put on a PPV offering within the rules and guidelines of SPFL and which makes the club money, his mate is watching it and paying nothing to the club for the service.
  4. More accurately sums some people on this site up 👍
  5. Hoolie in the Hydro was my gig of choice at the weekend, brilliant night and just one big Ceilidh.
  6. Sounds like a good night BinEK.....With regards to the regeneration of Greenock, I live and work in Inverclyde, Scotts has been a welcome addition to the area but we'll see how it does longer term as Greenock hasn't been great at supporting it's restaurants this last ten years or so. The regeneration, good as it's been, pretty well stops at the Waterfront and is a bit of a gripe for the local citizens as the money has been spent for the Cruise Ship Tourists and not the locals (not my gripe I hasten to add). The Beacon, which I like, cost a fortune and loses money year on year which is a pity as it's a fantastic facility. Beyond that Greenock is in a pretty sorry state I'm afraid until you get through to the West End and into Gourock.
  7. We’ve just booked one for our Euro 24 adventure picking it up in Stuttgart on 13th June and dropping back off on 25th June (although hopefully have to extend the hire), It’s an Esprit I 7150-2 DBM
  8. What was worse was that when Flynn got injured Robinson was screaming at him to get in quickly and stripped, McMenamin just strolled towards the dugout which resulted in more screaming from Robinson.....he then half-jogged and half-walked his way up the touchline looking like he couldn't be arsed.
  9. To be fair everything was fixed and re-scheduled for today and seemed to go without a hitch....well at least for me anyway 👍
  10. First game, being the opening game, is a bit steep with 3500 tickets or so at 50 Euros, 3000 or so at 195 Euros and the rest at 400 or 600 Euros. Other two games are 30, Euros, 60, Euros, 150 Euros and 200 Euros in same quantities.............First two category prices aren't too bad for a "Championships" but other two categories pretty steep.
  11. Debate gets stifled when someone who actually knows what they're talking about rocks up 😂😂
  12. Firstly, out of interest Gunni T, what was the response like when you previously posted re the same subject? And secondly, I'm a member of SMiSA but also one of the 21% you are looking to contact.....is your intention to set up another "block vote" option? My worry would be that we could be in trouble of "faction building" and potential "divisiveness" at Board level. As "independent" shareholders we already have the opportunity to attend AGM's and question direction of travel, finance etc and can vote on any issues requiring a vote at those meetings. I guess in essence what are you trying to achieve?
  13. If you read the whole post I was only joking, shit happens….the beauty for them I guess is that they were getting paid, us mere mortals were paying for the privilege
  14. We’ll wander in to the Black Isle Bar at some-point this afternoon and give it a try 🍺👍
  15. Wife and I had Covid the other week so hopefully immune, was in Hootenany’s last night and it was the busiest pub I’ve been in since pre-Covid. I love Inverness but the bummer is that so much of the “cultural”:stuff up here is outdoors and I can’t imagine the wife and daughter are up for walking round Culloden in the rain
  16. It’s a shite decision, I’m already in Inverness and staying over again tonight…….what in the name of the wee man are we going to do on a pissing wet day in the Highland Capital, ach well Hootenany’s and Johnny Foxes it is 🍺🥃🙈 in all seriousness I can see why they made the (correct) decision early and it saves the day trippers from setting off only to be disappointed and inconvenienced later, hangover here we come.
  17. The day anyone uses Mike Graham as some sort of benchmark as a custodian of accuracy and/or truth is really the day to chuck it 🤷‍♂️, you can't compete with a man that can grow concrete 😂
  18. The deal between streaming service Viaplay and S4C is a unique partnership that will allow S4C the exclusive UK Welsh language rights to broadcast the games free to air.....there's your answer right there. If either BBC Scotland or STV want to braodscast the games, probably in Gaelic, it's up to them to sort the coverage with Viaplay, nothing to do with the FA's it seems.
  19. First bit in bold is because C4 and SC4 outbid all the other interested parties. Second bit in bold, neither BBC Scotland or STV outbid Viaplay in the UEFA bidding process.....I don't think it is currently within SFA's power. I don't like the fact it's not available on "Free to Air" but that's just a personal thought.......
  20. UEFA sells the rights to the TV packages which comes through a series of bids and will pretty well always go to the highest bidder, the SFA are to blame for many things but not in this case imo. UEFA and FIFA both seem to be driven by greed and will pull their pants down for the highest dollar (see World Cup in Qatar for reference), that unfortunately permeates it's way through all the layers which ends up fleecing the fans. It doesn't effect me too much from a TV perspective because I attend all the home games and as many away games as I can afford. That said, on the occasions that I can't go away I'd love the games to be on "non-Satellite" or "non-PPV" channels. To watch almost any football on TV now you need at least "Sky" as an entry level, what is horrific is that they have plenty international games on but if your country's group is sold to "Viaplay" or "TNT" then you're ponying out even more money compared to other countries.
  21. I think they should be on free to air tv from a consumer perspective, the reality is that someone has to pay for it and it goes to the highest bidder.
  22. Have you bumped your head this morning?? Here's how England sold their rights.....hmmm, interestingly through UEFA ITV secures exclusive rights to broadcast England Men's matches from 2024-2028 | England Football , I think you'll find this is how it's done regardless of which country you are. You'll probably go down a rabbit hole in a bid to be correct but the reality is STV and BBC Scotland budgets don't allow them to compete with Satellite Broadcasters.
  23. The SFA has a duty to get the most money for their product, simple as that.....they don't even do the negotiations as I think the rights are held by UEFA Premier Sports to broadcast Scotland Men’s National Team matches until 2024 | Scottish FA | News
