Is there a way for the mods to limit the amount of post building p!sh this idiot fills the forum with? It really is getting tedious having to scroll the pages to get past it!

Back from the Highlands. A lot drier where I was than it was down here by the sounds of it.
Apparently getting staff is a huge problem. Everywhere is struggling. the hotel that I stayed in paid their staff full wages through lockdown. All the staff have continued to work, but the person I spoke to is contracted normally for 22 hours per week, but is currently working 45 hours.
Big problem, apart from Covid, is no EU nationals to work in hotels.
Level 2 restrictions in place, to reduce chances of staff getting Covid or any track and trace event. Hotel would probably be in danger of closing if either of these scenarios unfolded. Even with restrictions all but going tomorrow, the hotelier doesn't plan to change much, other than to scrap the one way system in the bogs and put bottles of condiments on tables.
The good news is that they are booked solid for overnight stays and evening meals. If you're up that way, it's very unlikely, if you haven't booked ahead for evening meals, that you'll get a walk in. They turned away 30 people on Friday evening. The other Hotel in the village isn't taking any more evening meal bookings until next Friday, as they are booked solid too.

As I'm not a season ticket holder I'm not directly affected by this but as a mdmber of SMISA I would have expected better communication of what has happened and how it is being addressed. I would have expected our Chairman, CEO and head of Brand Management to be out there front and centre giving regular updates even if it was just to say, it still isn't fixed but this is what we're planning to do about it. What I didn't like most of all was the outgoing chairman having his look at me David Cameron moment just before the shit hits the poor Theresa Neadham fan! We need to be better than this if we are going to be taken seriously, this all translates to why our players are valued at the lower end of the market because we look like (pardon thd pun) a charity case outfit!

Who are you to decide what is "embarrassing" or "demonstration" level.......personally I'm quite happy to cut the club some slack but the summer has been an absolute shambles from an admin and communication perspective, add in the strips and shop issues and again poor communication surrounding them and I can see why some people might be frustrated enough to let their feelings known. I'm, as a rule, not normally a complainer but even I can see that this close season, from everything other than a "football" perspective, has been poor beyond any level of acceptable service from any business.

I understand the sentiment Ronnie but “nothing” is a bit misleading. My season ticket got me coverage of every home league game last season.

I would suggest that no away fans of any club can be considered for admission until all ST holders and patg fans are accommodated ( OF fans seem to be getting considered for South stand as usual)

I think John tried to explain the situation, but I'm not convinced his statement really helped.
We are told that we have to leave two seats free and can only use every other row in our stand because of the distance between rows etc...
That's all well and good in isolation but when you see several hundred fans in both the home and away end standing right next to each other last weekend just a few miles up the road in Motherwell then it doesn't really stack up.
Lanarkshire is operating under level 0 restrictions at the moment the same as Renfrewshire is, so something isn't right here.
We've got Glasgow City Council offering FULL CAPACITY at Ibrox and Parkhead next midweek, 50000 & 60000 respectively, yet we are supposed to swallow that we can only have 1039 in our stadium this weekend, when the advertised lowest guideline for level 0 is 2000?
It doesn't add up at all and you can completely understand why fans are not happy.
I'm not expecting the chairman of the club to throw the Council under the bus here but something isn't right, St.Mirren have been given an absolutely terrible deal here and to compound all of that the club's communication with it's most loyal fans on the matter has been an absolute shambles.
There isn't even an acknowledgement on the official website that the ballot has been drawn FFS!
Season ticket holders who didn't get a ticket are left completely in the dark, why didn't they get an email too even if it was just to say "Sorry you didn't get one this time". Nothing at all!
These are the punters who pitched up £300+ last season and who didn't get to set foot in the stadium ONCE, yet we were asked to pony up the same £300+ again this season and almost 3000 of us jumped through several hoops to do so. Then we don't even get a proper explanation of why we're still locked out, we aren't told the ballot has been run and we don't get a courtesy email telling us we've not been fortunate enough to get a ticket!
It's all very very basic stuff here and frankly it's not good enough.
Even the Season Ticket TV access on Saturday is a mess. I've read the article on the website telling me I need to use a new login and password for this season, yet I can absolutely guarantee that my 76 year old season ticket holding dad will be utterly confused as to what the fuck is going on - he doesn't read the website and he doesn't visit social media - so how the fuck is he supposed to know how to watch the game - a game that he has paid for the same as all the rest of us mugs.
    An absolute utter shambles.

I said in my original email of 2 months ago I wasn't interested in being included in draws... PPV coverage was fine for now and allowed me to support the club.

Re your last sentence... Matter of opinion! I'd rather wait till after schools go back and restrictions are lifted before easing up.

Personally, I don't care if I get it. I don't even care if I die from it... but I work with elderly people living with dementia... The highest risk category.

I'm simply not prepared to take chances with their well-being.

I've watched a fair bit of the Olympics Coverage so far BinEk and one of the things that has impressed me most is the support and camaraderie that seems to exist in the less "elite" sports.....the encouragement and goodwill between athletes while watching the high jump, long jump and triple jump was fantastic. While watching their rivals compete the majority of the athletes were partaking in the rhythmic clapping that seems to go with these events in the absence of spectators, it was good to see.
