Frank McGarvey in his book claims that the two greatest achievements of his career were with Saints in 1977&1987. They were occasions for celebration! Everything won in the East end was cause for relief! "Keeps the fans off our back for another wee while!"
That feeling of celebration is what being a fan of clubs like ours is all about!

pick any one from McAusland McGinn Osbourne Mallan etc.and who comes off to make way?
We are missing McLean badly. No-one stepping up in midfield.
Tess on for Osbourne- Tess at CH Goodwin moves forward.
Snoopy on for McGinn.
Change up front as well. Thommo looks out of sorts- need someone just off Arquin. ?Who u have no idea!!
-
Thoroughly agree. Was expecting them to come over Or at least look over and acknowledge us, but ...nothing!
-
Number 35-Barry Cuddihy!
-
Number 35 was Barry Cuddihy. Announced as Cooday..ay
-
Nope, £5 for us vs NYCFC and kids for a dollar...69p...with free popcorn.
See my amended post. They have changed the pricing and are offering refunds to those that paid full price.
Cue Saints and their announcement.......
-
City are selling tickets for this at £5, yet we've been charged £10. A wee chant of where's our fiver perhaps.
Is that not part of a double with Brondby.
Full price for one game and a fiver for the other? Seen that deal on their website last week.
ETA:-
Just gone back to the page I saw last week and it has been changed!
http://www.mcfc.co.uk/News/Club-news/2015/February/Watch-NYCFC-v-St-Mirren
Take note of a wee sentence about half way down:-----
Supporters who have already purchased tickets for these matches at the original published prices will receive a refund for the difference within the next 7-10 working days.

Signed for Dundee United

All in the game. Played at Ashton Gate featuring Saints, Bristol City, Leeds, QPR, Wolves, Man City and Liecester.
There was a book and a newspaper style programme for it.
Know nought about winners and losers!!
-
When I saw the thread title I thought it was a re-arranged fixture, which I fancied us to get a hard fought point in.
Definitely the first clean sheet of the season....Marwood would never score!!
-
He's got 12 months notice to work
Gives the BoD time to make a decision!!
-
yesdid Lewis Guy not score and get sent off on his home debut?
-
Tottie Beck made his debut un a 2-0 defeat to Airdrie. So never scored!
-
Graham guy was actually not too bad, I don't know why he didn't fully break through. He was a free kick expert and I seem to remember he scored a cracker against us for Stranraer in a challenge cup match.
Ricky robb was never a footballer, I think we just seen the size of him and decided to sign him without seeing him kick a ball! Did we not sign him at the same time as broadfoot? I seem to remember thinking broadfoot was actually worse than robb when I first seen him play. He obviously improved on his subsequent outings!
Who was it that signed those two, Hendrie or coughlin?
Both signed July 2002. Hendries final signings.
-
Charlie McGrath, 1967-68!
Played one top team game as a trialist. Scored the winner v Queens Park. Never signed.
Only man with a 100% scoring record in the stripes?
-
I see our game is at 2pm, which is bad enough, but according to that link:
On February 15 in a 7:00am kick off, NYCFC faces Brondby,
I wouldn't trust any of it...
Will that not be New York time?
-
Jason Scotland just been released by accies could he do a job , or past it ?
Better than what we have in terms of presence but not a long term solution.
-
Antonio Guerao Mayoral!!
Made such an impression that few will actually remember his full name!!
AKA Tonet!
-
I can't remember the finer details...
Just Bones Bawling before Bakers blooter!
Being the pedant I am I had to check and 14th September 1993!! Tuesday night. 4-3 Saints.
-
Anyone remember a stoater by Martin Baker away to Dunfermline.
Was that a midweek game? We won 4-3?
First time I ever saw us win at EEP
-
Question 1
If GT and DL were to make a go of things and all the players were fit, what should our starting line up be?
I would suggest:-
Ridgers
Naismith, McAusland, Plummer, Tesselaar
McGinn, Osbourne, Kelly
McLean, Thompson, Wylde
Ridgers
Naismith Tess Plummer Kelly
Osbourne
McLean McGinn
Caldwell Thompson Wylde

Tommy clearly stated at the AGM that he didn't expect Gary to feature much this season and that others"were in front of him".
And to show how on the ball he is when questioned about who was in front of him and taking his place, he said Lewis Morgan!!!
That explains why Lewis is getting a game every week then?!!
-
Also Garry teale won't play much this season. He's been told that. Makes u wonder if they needed him and Goodwin in coaching roles.
He also added that Lewis Morgan was to be his replacement.........that's why Lewis has been playing every week!!
