  1. I remember Gardner Speirs putting a penalty 'miles' wide of the post against Motherwell at the Love Street end in the 1980's. Something makes me think it might have been the game in which Aber got 3 red cards.
Andy Ryan? No thanks. I'd much rather try to get someone like Jack Aitchison on loan from Septic.

Yup it was that same game. Aber got sent off in the aftermath of the penalty being awarded after a set to with Stevie Kirk who was also sent off. Speirs had waited a long time to take the kick ........ And missed!

    Well said sir.

That said, for the likes of EK it really should not be a problem.

Sadly, I am working that night, or else I could be at peace with myself as an EK resident Saints ST holder! I don't think I would cause myself any trouble!

Or you could get a kicking from both sets of fans!!! :P

  3. The stats on Mehmet's wiki page are totally made up.
The stmirren.info site is more reliable.
Mehmet 39 goals in 141 starts and 51 sub appearances
Sutton 30 goals in 66 starts and 9 sub appearances

Sutton has 43 goals in 101 starts and 22 sub appearances counting last season. By Saints standards of recent times that is a pretty decent strike rate. And better than Sir Thommohawk!
  4. Just watching the game.....how long are they going to allow Tierney to be treated on the pitch? He was perfectly able to walk when he was chasing the ref to get action against the Dons player. He will have to go off anyway as per the rules, so get him off now and get the game going again.

Oh! And Stockley is a lucky man!

  5. Think so . 4th play 3rd , winner plays 2nd , the winner of that plays -9th home and away. .

That's only for the championship/premier play off. Heavily weighted towards the top flight club staying up as they only have to play the one tie.

We would have to play 4th in league 1 then the winner of 2nd v 3rd.
