SBS got a reaction from West Ham Saint in Positive Things About Being A Buddie
Frank McGarvey in his book claims that the two greatest achievements of his career were with Saints in 1977&1987. They were occasions for celebration! Everything won in the East end was cause for relief! "Keeps the fans off our back for another wee while!"
That feeling of celebration is what being a fan of clubs like ours is all about!

SBS reacted to Falastur in New York City Next Month
Alright, all. I'm Falastur from over on the NYCFC forum, but I'm one of the token non-Yanks over there so no need to follow up on the "scrimmage" stuff and the American handegg terminology you were throwing earlier - that stuff makes no sense to me, either.
I was at the game yesterday, thought it was a good game and definitely one for the scrapbook, being the club's first ever game. Obviously not a great result from your perspective but I thought your first half team did a good job of keeping Villa quiet when he tried to go through the middle, and even if the possession wasn't there your players kept the pressure on in midfield for most of the game - there was a point when I thought you might be too well-organised to concede the way you did. Certainly there were fewer clear-cut chances than I was expecting from a friendly, for both teams.
I also wanted to say that I thought your travelling contingent were a credit to your club. Very loud for all of the first half, and I think it's understandable that the atmosphere dropped off in the second half, considering that all of NYCFC's proper fanbase were 3,000 miles away and haven't even had a chance to establish their song repertoire yet anyway - of course, that apparently wasn't a good enough reason for the New York Times, who slated the fans for not crossing the Atlantic in droves to attend, so I guess your mileage may vary. It was good to see some of you on our forum, too. Always good to get a bit of cross-club interaction going on.
Anyway, good to see you all and good luck in the league. I'll be keeping an eye out to see how you're getting on.

SBS reacted to West Ham Saint in Kieran Sadlier Signs
My son wrote that article. We have seen Kieran play loads of times as he progressed through the ranks and out of all the players that have been released he is the one we are most gutted about.
It isn't just his ability but it is his hard work and attitude that set him apart in my opinion. Hopefully he will be given the opportunity by Teale to progress further and get the regular first team action that he has been craving.
Sadly youngsters aren't getting a look in for the West Ham first team and that has a lot to do with the attitude of the manager who is not one for trying new things, he is safety first... and safety second, so don't take the fact that Kieran didn't make the first team as a negative. He trained with them regularly and they were all surprised that he was allowed to leave.
Another massive positive (I'm sure you'll agree) is that his moving to St Mirren is that you now have two new followers in my son and we hope to come up and see his home debut against ICT where we hope to see him prove us right and Fat Sam wrong.

SBS reacted to pozbaird in Let's Relegate Motherwell
Ach, didn't happen. Never mind, we got three points this weekend, Motherwell and County only got one each, so we are the big winners. Just shows how important it is to take care of your own business, and fate... We simply cannot rely on others to lose and make our own situation look better.

All in the game. Played at Ashton Gate featuring Saints, Bristol City, Leeds, QPR, Wolves, Man City and Liecester.
There was a book and a newspaper style programme for it.

Wrong again. Not like me. Don't want to seem a bit picky, but I'm pretty sure he did score in other matches.

SBS reacted to oaksoft in English Consortium
No there shouldn't be. The buying consortium have either knowingly hidden this or are incompetent.
Either way they are finished - or should be - as regards buying our club.
