  1. I heard he's having a Wale(s) of a time
  2. Let's hope he doesn't get jailed or get his head kicked in then!
  3. Leave odds were nearly 4/1 a week or so ago, now the best price your getting is 7/5. Maybe a good time to bring this tweet up .
  4. I still don't have a clue but swinging towards remain just now, probably describe it as the play is safe tactic used by a few in our ref. Eddie Izzard made a rip roaring tit of himself tonight, amazingly he managed to out c'nt Farage.
  5. It is only right that the UK should be taking in Syrian refugees, and any other refugees from war torn countries, simply because the UK are part of the reason some of these countries are war torn (whether it be to help these countries or for 'our' own gain'. On the other hand, like anything else really, when these people come here it will take time to integrate properly into our society. There may be a minority who see this as a chance to steal or whatever, but they need to be taught and learn the rights and wrongs and you can't do things here that you might get away with in your own country. Same with any of us going abroad to work, live or even just on holiday.
  6. Plus we know what we are getting with him, he is not some unknown foreigner or lower (very very very low) league English player like Calum Ball. Every signing is a risk, if we do sign him and he flops so be it but it's a no brainer for me. This league isn't about fancy football, the more you defence mess about with the ball at the back the greater chance they have of making a mistake and losing a goal. If you have 2 big lumps up front like Sutton and Clarkson, more often that not the ball won't come straight back at you. Mallan should have a field day with set pieces with the height we now have in our team.
  7. 132 league goals in 309 games can't be sniffed at by any team in this division.
  8. Would like to see more of Lewis Morgan next season, he had a good game in the first home game of the season against Dumbarton and never really got a look in after that, even when Alex came in he signed Cooper, in my opinion I'd rather have seen Morgan given a run of 10-15 games in the team to try and gel him in for the new season.
  9. Building the spine of the team. Webster Gordon Quinn Hutton Clarkson Experienced. Throw in the likes of Baird (who will improve and not have as much pressure on him this season) and Mallan, it looks like a good mix of experience with young players.
  10. Quite funny to be honest, apart from the Krankies.
  11. If a party was to put it in their manifesto (I wonder who ) and they were voted in power does that not count? Their will only be another referendum if the polls are showing people in favour of Independence consistently above 55% imo and of course that might never happen! I don't think Sturgeon is stupid enough to hold another one unless they are guaranteed to have a damn good chance of winning it.
  12. And if the majority vote in favour for another Indyref that has to be respected too. Can't have it both ways!
  13. It is. Our parachute payment is £250,000 i think, which cancels out their bonus money but we won't get another parachute payment next season.
  14. I really don't know what way I am going to vote yet. A part of me is thinking it's funny seeing the Tories stabbing each other in the back over this then you realise it's to see who'll be in control us of next and the list is frightening. Another part of me thinks there isn't much point because the likely scenario is England will decide it but it would be ironic if Scotland swung the decision either way. I'm not buying the scaremongering from either side, we've all had enough of that to last a life time. I want to vote with the intentions of what is best for Scotland. Would we benefit more staying in or leaving? I'm probably just in favour of staying just now but I haven't read much details about it, I didn't realise the vote was so close. Just shows how poor the campaigning for each side is, even though its been all over the news for months it feels like there has hardly been any information given out about it. The immigration thing has never bothered me, personally, I have worked beside quite a few Poles and 99% of them are brilliant at their job. Always the first on site and last to leave, never off sick (which is incredible because they told me they drank at least 1 litre of vodka a night!). It seems to be a much bigger issue down South and with what, 6,000,000 people voting for UKIP in the GE, that is a bit worrying.
  15. The thing is John Baird developed into one of the best goal scoring strikers in the Championship since we were promoted. It might sound crazy but that is the standard of the league. Derek Lyle has banged in the goals in the last few seasons too.
  16. How many seasons did the ST prices stay at roughly the same price in the top league? Quite smart from the board really, because there was always a chance that we'd get relegated and they could use that as justification to not lower the prices in the 2nd tier. Just as well Alex Rae has turned round our piss poor home form, I think we are looking at pushing for some sort of promotion challenge next season which should help with the gates.
  17. It's not really mentioned a lot but he has scored a few late goals for us. His main asset is his technical ability in hitting the ball but he is extremely fit. He can go box to box solid for 90 mins and still have the physical and mental strength to stick away chances.
  18. Would be lucky if we got that for McLean and McGinn combined and they were established top league players. Can't see him signing a new deal anytime soon if we are still a Championship team (which chances are we probably still will be by the time his contract expires). The ball is in our court though, just now we'd be daft to take anything less than what we'd get for his development fee, which is probably why we should be worried .
  19. Allegedly a junkie punched a school girl in the face.
  20. I heard Jason took a sore one on his ankle today?
  21. Is he not also owed £1,000,000 by the club and will be looking to get that back at some point? just going by what I heard on Sportsound so could be wrong. Last time we we were relegated from the top league United spent a fortune to stay up. County and Motherwell did exactly the same last season although not as spectacular as United did .
  22. I'd happily take that risk. No doubt he'll come back and bite us on the arse but should we sign him up just so nobody else can? He hung his boots up the minute he signed for Rangers on a pre-contract when he was at Falkirk. Can't believe Gary Teale has got away with this one to be honest.
  23. It's contract renewal time. Handshake, thank him ( for nothing) and wish him all the best for the future. Can't afford passengers in our squad next season.
  24. I hope he isn't playing his way into earning a new contract .
  25. Doh! I apologise. Although I'd argue they 2 deserve a thread in our general discussion .
