  1. Yeah maybe the buyers are connected to them , in a consortium type of way? I know I'm clutching at straws here! Would be nice to get this over once and for all but only if the buyers have the clubs best interests at heart.
  2. English buyers with strong Scottish connections. Billy Davies or Steve Clark involved?
  3. I wouldn't say superbly, maybe by his standards. He had a good game that day but 1 or 2 good games on 12 months isn't a good ratio, hopefully Rae can get him playing good stuff and proves me and many others wrong.
  4. Oh I think he would, especially some off here .
  5. I'd like to see McLear and Morgan get a good run in the team, especially Morgan who brings a natural balance to the team instead of trying to shoehorn Agnew and Howieson out on the left.
  6. Alex Rae has quite a few pals in the media but you are right. In normal circumstances dropping down to this league always means less column inches in the papers, which to be honest we didn't get that much anyway. The only time we were mentioned on Sportscene was when Goodwin's elbow was disgracefully headbutted. Douglas McNeil is the best guy to keep an eye on, on twitter anyway and of course Div. Eerily quiet though. I reckon he is doing a lot of work behind the scenes to get rid of a few guys.
  7. Yeah who'd be stupid enough to do that.... oops http://www.gmfc.net/News/&action=fullnews&id=1346 . I think Jamie needs some competition to keep him on his toes, also a waste of money him being the goalkeeping coach if he is only going to be coaching himself and the Under 20's goalie. I think we'll sign another keeper, seen Cammy Bell's name mentioned a few times, Rangers have signed a keeper on loan and will be sending Bell out to get some game time because he has been injured all season.
  8. Seemed a bad one but hopefully it's nothing serious. There was an accident there recently? Can tell your a taxi driver, I'm crap with street names even though I've been in that area hundreds of times!
  9. I was driving from the back road past the airport and the old stadium site, Love st was shut off by police. There is a diversion set up just at the corner shop to head towards the new ground. Just a heads up incase it effects people tonight. I'm assuming it's the same up the court end of the street.
  10. Just like this season then! During the grim times in the 90's the derby game was all we had to cling on to for a bit of interest. At least the play offs have added a bit of spice to this division now.
  11. We should know all about they kind of deals, we have been stung by them over the years!
  12. It's easy to point the finger at the experienced centre back which we have been crying out for, for seasons. Don't forget the performance of the defence has dropped considerably with the absence of Goodwin! He is a huge loss. Carswell seems to be finding his feet a bit now though.
  13. We had a similar unbeaten record on their patch for a similar length of time. Might have been about 15 years? Morton have only defeated us 11 times since 1980.
  14. The management need to come up with a system to get the best out of Shankland, he is our best chance of grabbing goals and dragging us up the table.
  15. Cheers just looked it up, It happened in 85. Sadly I was born in 86 . I remember him taking a bad one but if i remember right he was one of the bravest keepers going. Seen him take a few knocks! Cairters Corner was brilliant. I was a mascot mid 90's against Accies ( Andy Millen was their captain! ) thankfully my Uncle recorded the whole thing from Cairters Corner ad I've had it converted to DVD so I can see the Northbank and terracing in all its prime.
  16. I remember he saved a late penalty against Abroath, former Saints 'player' Andy Dow missed it, if he scored that we were in real danger of relegation.
  17. I can remember standing in Cairters Corner and Campbell Money taking a bad knock to the head but can't for the life of me remember the opposition. My first away game was the Raith Rovers 7-0 one , weirdly hooked ever since!!
  18. No doubt some fans would have moaned if Miller was in the dugout on Saturday and Rae was watching from the stand.
  19. 4th place was going to be tough enough at the start of the season never mind giving Raith a 12 point head start with about half the games played. It's cliche but we need to take it 1 game at a time and make sure we aren't involved in a relegation play off battle.
  20. I love hearing how much of a one party state Scotland is now, what were we under SLab rule?
  21. Phew finished 2-1. Just hand us the trophy now.
