You shouldn't need anyone to tell you how to behave. I sing, I shout, I clap and I stood in the North bank.
I didn't feel a need to swear. I didn't feel a need to shower hate on the opposition.
The police have enough to do without having to concern themselves with a group of (mostly) young lads with a low threshold of self control. But.. somehow the group have caught their attention. In that you only have to look at yourselves for the reasons why.
For the umpteenth time. I love the noise..I love the colour that W7 guys are bringing to the ground. Doesn't mean that I have to agree with all that is said or done. Get used to it. In life others have opinions. We might not agree with them but it's usually wise to ask ourselves why they feel the way they do and ask...was it something I/we have done.
In my case, I know what I have done. I have had the temerity to ask you to consider behaving better than the fans from other clubs you criticise. In many ways, you already do in my opinion.

The stuff that Josh has been accused of may seem relatively minor, but standing on seats etc could have health and safety consequences. Don't go along with those that say there is victimisation going on, surely if that was the case he'd be banned already rather than warned?
Maybe a safe standing section would be a solution?

I am not taking sides here and I do not know enough detail.
However there was fighting recently with Well fans and last season when we arrived at Tannadice there was a heavy Police presence. We asked if they were expecting trouble and was told St Mirren fans had set off fireworks in a local pub causing mayhem and damage.
The above takes me back many decades but is almost unknown now. Some folk somewhere are being over exuberant and clearly the Club are clamping down on behaviour.

Behave yourself and the police will leave you alone.
It's hardly rocket science but apparently a handful in our crowd simply can't handle any authority figures in their lives whatsoever.
The W7 boys have been caught lying several times before and yet every time they whimper about discrimination you are away beating the drum for them. Are you related to one of them?

I don't know of any particular supporter of the club but if your name keeps cropping up again and again and again in terms of conduct, it's maybe time to have a bit of a period of self-reflection.

Beggars belief that W7 are still trying to persuade us all that they are being victimised having been caught bullshitting twice.
As for Josh, I hardly know where to begin. Absolutely no surise to see his name coming up yet again.  At some point you really need to start acting like an adult bud. Just a bit of advice.

I started this website 15 years ago to give Saints fans a platform for discussing the club and the team with each other.
We won't always agree on everything, otherwise there would be no point in having the forum at all. The only thing we all have in common should be a desire for the very best for the club. We want the team to succeed on the park and the club to thrive off the park. That should be a given.
It's important to me that when we disagree we do so constructively and with respect for each others views.
It's also important to me that the forum is not used as a vehicle to continually attack the club. The club make mistakes and should be called out on it when they do, but the players, the staff and everyone else associated with the club shouldn't be continually attacked by their own. It's not what the forum was created for.
The stuff posted in the last 48 hours on a couple of threads, which have now been hidden, has been miles away from the sort of stuff I expect to read on here, and yes I'm including myself in that.
It's been poor. Let's draw a line under it and move on and try harder to be civil to one another, using the ignore function if necessary to block out those users you don't wish to engage with.

Although it goes against most other aspects of my nature, when it comes to St Mirren, I'm a pretty dedicated happy clapper. I don't have the power to influence anything that happens at the club, but I feel the team would benefit more from my support and blind faith than it would from moaning and berating players. Obviously, things happen that I'm not pleased with; players come in who I'm no sure about, guys leave who I'd want to keep, we lose to teams we should beat, we concede soft goals, but it's all part of being a football fan, if the game ever made me miserable for more than half an hour post-match, I'd stop going. You probably get more lows than highs as a buddie, but that just makes the good times all the more special. The Morton game will be forgotten in a matter of days, but the Millennium Champions, the Challenge Cup Final against Accies, winning the League under Gus, 3-2 at Fir Park, 2-0 away to Falkirk, 2-1 against Rangers, 4-0 vs Celtic, Mallan's goal against Raith, Loy's goal at Easter Road...They'll all live with me forever.
    Happy Clapper for life!

Campbell has definitely done the right thing in turning to staff and supporters to play the songs pre match and at half time.
The choices on Saturday both by Jack Ross and the fans at HT were fantastic and right up my street. Ocean Colour Scene, Stereophonics, Rage Against the Machine. Was great!
Clearly this won't be the case every week but that's just fine, nothing wrong with a bit of variety. Was a dirge for the longest time being able to set your watch to Call Me Al and Anything Can Happen.

Makes a good change having some decent music. I like how fans can now put forward their choice of songs for half-time. The atmosphere is becoming quite good at games.

Have to say really like our compere the style of announcing our players is ace and stands out from other comperers at football stadiums it's in a boxing introduction style. Keep it up and the music is not too bad ether.
    Well done.

    Thanks Sir Shull
To answer the above. W7 is our allocated section, W6 gets taped off so we're not blocking anyone's view. If the section gets bigger and bigger, it might start to spread towards W6.
Think this will be one of our best efforts so far, a lot of time went into it - even booked out a hall to do the painting. Got plenty of flags too.
The SLO has been really helpful. Thanks to the club for getting on board, long may the good communication continue.
Ideally we want the whole stadium getting involved, but anyone of any age or any gender, (especially Shull) is welcome to come join us to help get the season off to a flyer.

    Indeed.
The irony is that shull is happy to refer to Samson as a cup winning legend elsewhere yet would happily see him bagged after the first league game of the season.
    Tiresome drivel.

Also, if we're talking about Samson not tipping the ball over and trying to palm it clear costing us a goal - have a look at about three errors from St Mirren players before that in the immediate run-up to the Loy shot... including a crap attempt at an interception from Irvine, a guy who had a great game and did well while treading carefully on a yellow card. Imagine anyone starting a thread to simply blame our keeper after a 3-1 come from behind win. Oh, hold on, some daft cnut did.

Big Ross Stewart did really well again when he came off the bench. It's great to have an option like him, he offers something different and is really awkward to play against.

    Tremendous. The pair of them.
