Many can't see that Kendo and the dizzy heights they took us too. Unfortunately it's all doom and gloom just now. The end of the world.

They left the club a shambles on the park and a mess off of it. Most of the harm on the club self inflicted on the club by that Board.

They got their money back, walked away and now it's the fans left to potentially have to bail out the club financially.

What should we be eternally grateful to them for exactly?

Not-sacking Danny Lennon has turned out to be a new low for us as club! Telling a cup-winning manager who had just finished 8th in the SPL after the final home game of the season that he was not getting a contract extension when his contract expired 2 weeks later was greeted as the ultimate bit of thriftiness by the old board - we got rid of a manager without needing to make any kind of pay out.

How did that one work out for us again? Heading for a 3rd season in a row without a home win before Christmas and 2nd relegation in 3 years?

According to some, his time was clearly up.

    Laughable.

  3. Difference was that both were out of contract and we had to accept the money for Kenny. Mallan is still under contract so we decide his value and when and if we sell.

All of which was true for Mcginn and McLean at one point in time.

We decided when to sell them both, and still bungled the deals.

  4. I have seen this topic being mentioned on another thread and I believe it deserves one of its own.

I believe it's an interesting concept. So let's see if it has any legs. If the club were to make the West Stand non seat allocated for match day tickets or season tickets but keep the allocated seating for the rest of the stadium. I can see where the club could benefit financially if we tried it.

Would that put supporters off buying a season ticket or would it be a good thing?

A season ticket gets you an allocated seat for every home game. That's no problem.

For me the problem comes with allocated seating for patg customers. You get a ticket for an allocated seat. Sometimes for the worst seats in the ground, ie Front row M1. This despite the fact we have crowds of 2500.

So you go and sit in a better vantage point, only for another patg supporter to rock up with their ticket for that exact seat at 2.59 and ask you to move out their seat.

    Non allocated patg tickets please.

  5. Good few quid to help bring in a couple of players, cover the wages and help us achieve our long term goals? You do know we're talking about maybe 40k less associated added cost for accomodating an entirely new stand full of knuckledraggers?

The long term goal of the current incumbents who don't even have the decency to speak with the Fan Council is to get to fcuk out of Dodge.

Anyone annoyed by their actions, deciding to try writing to them, deciding to not go to this fixture, or contemplating their normally automatic ST renewals are perfectly within their rights to do so. I don't see anyone claiming their annoyance / outrage / mild irritation makes them an Uber-fan.

Perfectly reasonable for those affected to ask for a partial refund on their season ticket purchase, if they don't want to move. Can't believe folk are having a go at fans annoyed at being punted from their seats.

I imagine the reaction would be much worse on here if the board gave up the entire west stand to visiting fans and rehoused season ticket holders in the south and main stands for the game.

  6. Still cant get away with Saints fans abusing a fellow Saints fan who went from ball boy to cup winning hero. Suppose it says more about what kind of support a small section of our fans are than anything else.

No mention of his footballing ability in there though, which is all most people criticised?

Plenty of other players have had worse abuse on here than McAusland.

  7. GLS is as entitled as any other director to try and get his money for his shares back in the long run. I'm asking why he is seen as a better leader for the club than he current board when it has been suggested he was one of the directors who wouldn't put his hands in his pockets when the club had mid-season cash flow problems, and when he has been part of 2 or 3 failed bids already. He didn't offer enough for the club when he put his own bid in, and he has had access to enough money to buy the club then that was no longer the case and now he has the cash to make it happen again. As far as I can see he will try and get his money back if the SMISA bid comes off, and the same would have happened in joining the consortium for the 75% of the club going to the Argentinian or English bids last year and he was in line to get his money back under 10,000Hours mkII.

Surely the simple answer is that he actively wants to get be involved. The current board wants out.

That's a hell of an improvement.

"Didn't offer enough" or wasn't willing to pay an over the odds price?

  8. are people forgetting it's St mirren supporters running the club. Yes they want to sell but not given up as many seem to think. These guys work hard to make the club work within a budget. You can't throw money at the team we don't have. I want to see new blood run the club as much as anyone else but know we are in safe hands until we do. Sorry could not make the pub. Kara and Bobbie decided not to go because of the weather so I took the car Div so no pub visit for me. Catch you another game.

They are businessmen and women first and foremost. St Mirren fans second.

How many potential buyers who could have been great for the club haven't got in the door, as they couldn't/wouldn't match the asking price?

  9. There is something rotten to the core that has spread like a cancer in the dressing room. The best cure is to cut it out.

For the first time I believe we need to clear the place. Rid ourselves of the sh*t stirring arseholes and bring in fresh blood with the proper attitude.

Until this happens I won't be back, I'm sick to my back teeth. Shower of useless couldn't give a f*ck tossers that need hunted.

    Couldn't agree more.

Sooner they sell up and move on the better.

  10. Lennon's time was up, that's for sure.

Similar to Gus before him although I'd argue he probably stayed one season too long.

I thought Murray was a reasonable appointment but obviously it's been a total disaster, there'll be someone out there who could turn this round but it sure as hell isn't someone who has managed us before.

With the obvious exception of Sir Alex.

That last season of Danny was torture.

8th place in the top flight with no threat of relegation during the last 5 games.

1 season too long right enough.
