Pre season starts in 6 days according to that Harkins article. Would've liked us to have got another 1 or 2 in before the squad returns. Plenty of time though I suppose. At this rate Paul Mathers will have an extra few days off, since we have 0 keepers for him to work with.

It is played in a great spirit generally. Even when we have been beaten it has been enjoyable. But I agree that this week, from a terrors perspective that it went too far. If folk are wanting to play football that seriously then they should look to join a team, not a fans forum 7's game

One of McGowan / Harkins needs to chip in with goals from midfield next season or else we will still be in the bottom 6.

Personally I'm apprehensive about this. But he is a saints player now, and hope that he plays well and does the business. Hopefully Danny's the man to turn his career round.

I'm in the same boat, meh. Won't berate him if he signs, but would prefer if we got someone else instead. I assume his preferred position is just off the striker, freedom to go where he wants and not have to track back. I hope we go in another direction here, really do.

Was a good laugh tonight. I do think we could do with a new way of choosing teams though, as this weeks random number selection left the teams a little lopsided.

For all the tricks and flicks he just isn't what I'd like to see St Mirren sign. Chucked in the towel at Killie when he wasn't playing, seems like he needs to be the main man where he is.

Hope the rumours about Harkin's aren't true. If we are going with a smaller squad of quality next season then a player like Harkin's who does not produce consistently doesn't fit that bill. Makes no sense letting Carey go, just to bring in a player like Harkins who is similarly inconsistent.

Good player yes, when he is on his game but I don't think he produces quite enough. He is also the similar to Dorman, and McLean in consistency. In that he might win a game one week, then disappear for two or three. This forum doesn't really appreciate that type of player, and will probably have turned on him by January. Personally I'd rather he didn't sign, purely because of his problems at Killie and would rather we looked elsewhere.

Just meant that a goalkeeper or two should be on your target list as well.

Agreed. Sly comments on line does nothing positive for them IMO.

We aren't releasing them I don't think. They are just availiable for another club to have them. Or that's how I read the tweets.
