  1. He's out of contract and been linked with a return to Dundee Utd. I've never been a fan but he's had a very good season.
  2. Christ. This proves that some folk can quite literally argue about f**king anything.
  3. Would be a quite superb signing in all honesty. Not Wigan bound either. Might we chance our arm? https://the72.co.uk/2023/08/07/wigan-athletic-wont-be-signing-recent-hull-city-trialist-reporter-claims/
  4. Been hearing this guys name for weeks now. Load of pish, someone has grew it arms and legs from 'a striker from Rotherham' into this.
  5. One look at the rest of this 'journalist's' tweets should tell you everything you need to know here.
  6. Taylor is definitely good enough to play centre back.
  7. If he wants back, he owes his gaffer a massive apology if the stories are true, and given he was happy enough to sign a 2 year extension only 3 months ago, I can't see anything else it could be.
  8. If it's correct what is being reported in the Record then we'll have no trouble enforcing it regardless of his true value unless the parent club insert a clause to pay us money to exit the optional fee. Any sell ons percentages will be negotiated in the loan agreement and future fee. The selling club, if they write down that we have option to buy for £250k, cannot then go 'well yes but we also want 25% of what you flog him on for'. If it's not written down, then we'd have no issues. Rangers saw similar with Tillman recently but they did have a clause inserted where Bayern could pay a fee to Rangers (£1m) to cancel the £5m future sale clause and a percentage of whatever they do sell him on for eventually (now rumoured to be £10m) so in that scenario Rangers would get £2m for not buying Tillman but that isn't a standard with 'option to buy' loan agreements.
  9. He's 20 years old. If we sign him on a season long loan and he scores 15 goals next season, we have the option to make that permanent for £250k. In that scenario, we'd splash the money then move him on for significantly more than that. Several sides in England's championship are well aware of the lad and have been watching him so we've essentially been given a foot up here and if he's good enough to move south, we've already agreed we can get him for significantly more than his transfer value. IF that is all true though, I see elsewhere he's out of contract and we'd be able to get him for a development fee.
  10. Grimshaw, absolutely not. Glad he's at Utd. Strapp would be a good option at left back as backup if we had someone established there. As it stands, we should be looking at a first choice LB and making Tanser the backup and I'm not sure Strapp is that person.
  11. Liam Donnelly linked now. Not for me. Lad is either constantly injured or a bit of a headless chicken. He wouldn't improve our starting XI.
  12. To be fair, he'd probably still be in Russia but the war led to him being able to cancel that 5 year deal after less than a season and go back to Midtjylland.
  13. Not quite released by us but Anders Dreyer who some of us saw early doors was an absolute pler, is now at Anderlecht and has racked up some record between the Danish and Russian leagues before his Belgian move.
  14. No idea if they'll be out at same time. Don't see why not though if stock is there. Interestingly, passed the stadium on way to gym earlier and the Joma sign is still up on club shop which makes me think we're still under contract to sell their merchandise for a few more days at least.
  15. Good news is that the strips and training gear are on site and have been for a while so they should be available for sale pretty soon after the reveal.
  16. Should be next few days. And that is early by our standards. Don't think there is any Paisley pattern on either kit.
  17. Carroll doesn't fit the bill or what we seem to be looking for. 31 and getting over serious knee surgery.
  18. I've heard that there's going to be some movement this week. Expect 1 or 2. But as you said, no names. If I was going to guess though (and a total guess is all it is) I'd say Bedeau and/or Sule. I'd be massively happy with the former and hope Sule can adapt to the higher level of football. Bear in mind the transfer window in England doesn't open until this Wednesday (14th June) so I'd be surprised if we announce any signings from down south who still have a club before then. Particularly as Robinson has already gone on record to say we are looking at players under contract elsewhere. Any out of contract players are under contract with their clubs until June 30th but I dare say they could join up with us for training and preseason before contract starts. Everything is a really tight ship within the club nowadays which isn't bad at all. A few years back I'd have been told of the Robinson extension a few days before but nothing, or very little, gets out nowadays.
  19. 2,500 is excellent going and will hopefully climb significantly again tomorrow with people off their work and going down to renew. On June 10th 2022, the figure was just over 2000 and by the time the season kicked off we were on a bit over 3,400. By the end of the season after the half season tickets were taken into consideration, the club shifted 3,800 season tickets. If we could get anywhere close to that number by kick off, it would be brilliant progress and would probably leave us with well over 4,000 ST holders after the half season tickets go on sale in December.
  20. If we pull seven figures for a guy who has had a journeyman career before us, it's a tremendous bit of business. I'm not for selling the prized assets but I don't think even the most optimistic of us viewed O'Hara as a potential 'sign cheap, sell high' player when he joined last summer so for me, he'd go down as one of the best bits of dealing the club has ever done if the rumoured figure is correct and shows you what can be achieved with the right manager sounding out the right players for the system we play.
  21. Of the three players that we are realistically likely to pull a transfer fee for in the summer (Baccus, Strain O'Hara), I'd be most accepting of losing Keanu of the three. Strain and O'Hara are absolutely pivotal to the way we play. Baccus has had a very, very good season but I feel he'd be more replaceable than the other two. I've got a feeling there will be a worrying amount of interest in Strain though.
  22. Rumour was he was about to sign a new deal but Robinson squashed that post match and said he had offers in League One and Two which is twice or three times as much as we could afford. I could honestly envision him turning up at Wrexham or somewhere.
