  1. Off to Stenhousemuir. No word on if it's a loan or permanent. Edit: It appears he'd already left as he was the £1 a week lad. Stenny's twitter saying he'd signed from us rather than on a free.
  2. I certainly don't feel any of the players have the onset of apathy quite yet and are still giving it their all. As I discussed last week, it doesn't seem to be a playing personell issue that's holding us back in the main, it's purely tactical at this point. We DO have the players to get on, we need a gameplan though and that's something we lack just now. A good manager will accept that his plan isn't working and tinker with it quickly. The comparisons to the management of last season are wholly justified at this point in time for me and it's fair that people have concerns over our direction. Results at this stage aren't an issue. We will not pass or fail on our expectations this season based on the first five games but negative feeling isn't long in setting in and this will quickly pass onto the players.
  3. It's not your home. You've chucked it, remember. Anyway, how do you know he wasn't away to make a roast chicken?
  4. I'd say Webster, Goodwin, Gow (although shite), Thompson, Langfield, Agnew and Watson all provide quite decent levels of experience. Add to that, Naismith and Kelly are in their third full seasons as first team members and Carswell has over 100 Premiership games under his belt.
  5. Yep, certainly 3 year deals incoming for both him and Lewis Morgan (if he hasn't already signed one).
  6. Conlan and Howieson clearly don't compliment each other when they're both on the left as neither are very strong defensively and to that end I wouldn't play them together. They are both still learning their trade though, Luke especially.Similarly, Cuddihy on the opposite side is still at the stage where he clearly isn't as ready for first team football as we'd perhaps like him to be, but will certainly improve and looks like a decent prospect. Young Jordan though, looked at both Annan and against Livi like he's further on in terms of development than anyone.
  7. I dont think he is. He mentions players being shunted out of their clubs playing squads at the last moments and scrambling for moves. I would imagine the budget is all but depleted. That being said, if there's any more to be squeezed out, then hopefully he signs us a little more cover for the attacking midfield areas.
  8. He's clearly not giving an answer as he still wants us a a safety net option. That's all well and good but he's told the club there would be an answer today and we have no answer. Time to stick to our guns and inform him we will be pursuing alternative targets.
  9. Think it was suspected broken at the time, much like Jordan's leg. Thankfully it appears we've actually had two rather large strokes of luck in these regards.
  10. Hell be making the decision today, one way or another.
  11. I'm not sure. There's certainly something lacking in the centre of the park and I'm not sure Aggy provides it. There's not a lot of link up between the middle of the pitch and the final third and it's where the vast majority of our play seems to break down. We look a lot more dangerous attacking from wide positions. Another huge issue this season already has been the lack of movement at set-pieces and this is something which seems to transcend managers since way back in Gus times. Everyone always seems to be stationery and instead of making a clever or late run to get a leap on a header, allow themselves to be tightly marked and have no momentum or space to do so.
  12. Positive? Easy: Man for man we are certainly in better shape than last season and I don't think that the squad is the major issue here. Nor do I think it's Ian Murray. What I do think is that he needs to re-evaluate his outlook and mindset going into games and to play a different style of football. A good manager evolves with time and I reckon given that time, he will adapt to St. Mirren and have us playing a harder, more pressing style as we're clearly not suited to the backs-to-the-wall stuff. I genuinely don't think we need another complete overhaul, as there is talent there in that young side. We do need several tactical adjustments though but it's nothing close to being unfixable.
  13. Tomorrow = Today it seems. Well done to all involved. Centre half next please and a creative midfielder.
  14. Well, isn't it obvious? You've decided in a hissy fit to chuck watching St. Mirren as they aren't very good at this moment in time. Oh no, wait...that's him.
  15. Good. He's an injury-prone bombscare who allegedly carries a lot of personal baggage with him.
  16. Agreed. It's almost as if some folk look for validation to chuck it instead of just doing so and not making a song and dance about it.
  17. Shite attitude but it's your call. It's a complete Sevco mentality, though. All these zombies now returning in their droves as they've won a few matches....nowhere to be seen for the last three years but they'll claim till they're purple(er) in the face that they've always been there through thick and thin. Ditch out until we're decent again all you like. Makes you no better than one of those types of supporters though.
  18. Hope the lad's OK. Ambulance rushed to the ground just after the final whistle. A f**king horrific piece of thuggery by Danny Mullen who by that point shouldn't have even been on the park. As disgusting a tackle I've seen since Peter MacDonald and Tokely before him. Oh and classy by the Livingston supporters to applaud the vile little bastard for doing it.
  19. That's not the issue mate...defeat is acceptable. The issue is that we're going down almost cluelessly to teams we are man-for-man clearly better than on a weekly basis.
  20. Not sit in and continually invite pressure. I've seen enough about us to suggest that we're good enough and technically competent enough to be actually dictating the pace of games. It's almost as if he's stuck in this 'part-time manager' mindset in that he thinks every single team is going to cause us problems. Make no mistake, if we'd actually taken the game to Livingston tonight, we'd have won quite easily. Instead, everything seems to be so deep. A lack of players supporting attacks, no real zip or cohesion to our play and a lot or running about chasing balls like headless chickens, yet still putting little or no pressure on the opposition whilst doing so.
  21. What a horrible, spineless tepid performance tonight. Ian Murray is on shaky ground already, make no mistake about it. That sort of display in backing off and trying to feed off of scraps may well yield results when you take charge of a part-time team in a full-time league. But it doesn't cut the mustard, I'm afraid! It didn't against Dumbarton, Annan, Morton or tonight and will have to change sharpish or we'll be paying up the guts of another two year contract! Defeat is acceptable, a poor performance is acceptable. The manner in which we completely succumb to teams isn't and won't be acceptable going forward.
  22. Wish I could like this twice. Brilliant news. Good luck on your road to recovery young man!
