  1. This won't be in any way popular, but Tommy Craig has a long history of hanging about clubs when gaffers are sacked and worming his way in with a new regime. He got through six managers at Parkhead in the 80s and 90s before he was turfed. It's been his way of working for decades now. The actions of today do nothing to change my opinion that the guy's a weasel.
  2. Stevie Clarke even being quoted in the odds on McBookie.com is ridiculous!
  3. Based on what? 4 sub appearances when he was 19 under a manager who famously hated bringing in young players?
  4. JD Sports?! Making an utter arse of it?!?! How dare you, Sir. Don't you know they are a national chain with a stellar reputation in meeting demand for the kit supplies of fans like ourselves?! I jest, of course. JD Sports are an omnishambles of a company.
  5. If they can hold out it means it's a straight shootout on Saturday between Hibs and Killie. If Killie hold out against us, they only need to avoid defeat vs Hibs. If we get a draw or a win, Killie will have to win.
  6. That's because you're a fanny who predicts us to lose, regardless of circumstances. You've made a rip roaring arse of yourself over on P&B a few times in the last few weeks. Even a broken clock is correct twice a day.
  7. We need someone to 'take us to the next level'.....that's a lot of what people are saying nowadays. Let me ask, what is the next level for a club like us? Hasn't Danny Lennon, by securing our highest finish in two decades a couple of years ago, winning a national cup competition last season and then having us on the brink of bettering our league position of 2012, led us to this fabled 'next level?'. Let's be honest, we're not a club who will ever be challenging for Europe year in year out. It's simply not going to happen. I'd wager that a consistent and comfortable 5th-8th place finish and a good cup run here and there is our absolute glass ceiling. Danny Lennon has delivered cup runs and/or comfort in three of his four seasons in charge. This whole 'next level' nonsense was the same stuff the Falkirk fans peddled with relation to John Hughes. Charlton fans with Alan Curbishley and Bolton fans with Sam Allardyce. All small clubs with ideas above and beyond their station. Me personally, I'm more than happy to keep Danny on and certainly happier than I would be if we brought in some long forgotten and now irrelevant dinosaur like Jeffries or Calderwood (remember some panic-stricken fans pishing their knickers, scrambling for Jimmy Calderwood to come in a save us only a few months ago? Embarrassing.) . He does need some guidance in player identification to say the least and his tactics and player choices have been soul destroying at points this season, but he's certainly a hell of a lot better than about 95% of what's out there. Face reality. There is no real 'next-level' for us. We're sitting almost smack bang in the middle of our glass ceiling. The middle 4 places in the top league in Scotland. Exactly where we should be and exactly where we have been for the majority of our history.
  8. I'm no getting this whole 'let's put yellow in the kits' thing. Especially the home kits. Our trim is red. It's always been red. Though that's nowhere near the biggest issue with that abomination of a kit.
  9. You'd think going by this place, that some Buddies actually WANT Motherwell fans to create a rousing atmosphere for their players tomorrow.
  10. Good fixtures. Utterly pathetic from the TV companies that in one of the best splits in years (from a neutral's perspective), they decide to plump with the majority of dead rubber top six matches.
  11. A point is a decent enough outcome. f**k off. Kilmarnock just won.
  12. 1-1 Celtic now. Feel dirty wanting them to do us a favour, but who cares?
  13. John Robertson saying we look flat and lacklustre. There's a shocker.
  14. I'd say we're better off in midfield, though Shuggie at his peak would have had more than a shout of starting for us right now. Our defence and attack is a lot weaker than it was then.
