    Sorry, I see your point on our players having the attitude they SHOULD win every game but the term MUST WIN would suggest if we don't there is an immediate effect, which after four games is far from the reality.

    I suppose OF supporters see every game as must win, then they get all upset when they don't.

    We are not the OF and, as such, reality is we need to win as many games as possible to stay in the top league.

    Unfortunately there are people in our support who sing "We'll support you evermore" when what they actually mean is "We'll support you up to four"......

    or three in your case.

    Yes - it could be car crash viewing tomorrow - many of us have been there before, and no doubt we will see dark times agains, but it is during these tough times that we all need to stand firm in the support of OUR CLUB - OUR TEAM - OUR TOWN. When the team does win the League Cup or Scottish Cup or some league title along the way it will more than compensate for the dark times.

    The last time tomorrows visitors Partick Thistle won a major Scottish honour (League, SC or LC) I'd hazard a guess you were not even born.

    Since 1971 when Thistle won the LC I've seen Saints win the Anglo Scottish Cup, win the Scottish Cup, win the League Cup and watched them take part in four different European competitions.

    Teams like St Mirren will always tend to go through ups and downs - but when you compare our record in the last few decades even in comparision to other so-called bigger sides like Aberdeen & Motherwell we have done really well.

    Be proud of our club and what we have achieved.

    There is no doubt that 11 St Mirren players will take the field tomorrow and try to win the game. If they are hurting like they should be then they will give a bit more. I know of managers who lost the dressing room and players went out to lose.........Hope that's not the case here and whether we change manager or not is not the big issue.....a win is needed and we have the players to do it.......I feel it will happen COYS

    It's quite simple....If you have a lot of Wonga then you need not worry. Sir Alex Ferguson can bomb up the A1 at 100mph with no worry cause he will pay mr loophole. When going to court he will prove he needs a piss and it's case dismissed ....simples. Neil Lennon.....mobile phone....not a chance with his law team. Only problem they might suffer is when stopped for erratic driving......when police open the door a drunk man falls out!....Ally McCoist needed 2 masons on patrol but only had one!

    I've always thought that we all sang more when we are at Love Street. There are often too many quite spells at Saint Mirren Park. Singing the songs is part of the enjoyment as far as l'm concerned but even if it means that l going home hoarse or l have lost my voice as was the case twice at Hampden this year. .

    The 4500 who made there way to the semi-final did us all proud as we drowned out the noise of around 20,000 timothies that day . So based on that we are all capable of making ourselves heard and getting behind the team . COYS. .

    Erm......4500?...at the semi final?.....you sure?....You could be right but although a small crowd at Hampden ....I thought maybe 6500?

    You will be okay. The word Ellerslie , didn't appear on Ayrshire maps until the 18th c, long after Bill had gone. .

    Yes I know this....was born at 5 Park avenue Elderslie with my bedroom window looking on to the monument....spent many a childhood day playing in the house which is now a few bricks.....climbed the mighty tree which is now cut down to size and protected. Spent some time in the big mansion which is the most likely location of William's home ...rebuilt of coarse......The few bricks remaining cannot be his home but it sure as fcuk aint Ayr as these shylocks look to steal History for their own reward..........Sounds football related that last sentence lol.gif

    Once only reply to you......Don't think you're a St Mirren fan and if Craig Samson was still no 1 Relegation would seem further away. Nothing against the young keeper but NOT what we need right now........This position has to be filled next week with experience .....If Danny stays or goes... no keeper ...no chance.......Craig save us 15 points and won us the cup........All on his own!

    I noticed when reading a match report from a game played tonight , that the manager dropped his 2 centre backs and left back for bad performances in last weeks 1st leg.

    They won tonight without conceding a goal and progressed in the tournament.

    Some managers are brave enough to change partnerships where they don't work , without playing players out of position which in turn can change fortunes.

    I would not be adverse to us trying similar , instead of sticking by what isn't working at the moment.

    Jezoo!.......Do you not get it?.........Our BOD have no subs.........Danny has no money ....Stewart Gilmour has pulled the plug and doesn't care if we get relegated .....Good money in the first division ....new manager?...best of luck?

    With people like Somner9 around I'm glad the fan ownership model failed. I'm now fairly certain that it would have ended up a complete and utter disaster. The disater wouldn't have been due to Richard's input, but despite Richard's it. Atitude's and opinions like Somner's would have turned the place toxic within 12 months IMO.

    Richard can walk away from SMFC with is head held high.

    Not sure I agree on the Somner issue as he is a fan like the rest .....but like your view on Richard as he only had our club at heart ....like you I wish him well.
