  1. Fairenough.......at least you answered the question. I think he has more long term ambitions but as i said before it's only my opinion based on the facts I have given.
  2. No Sid I don't think I am (maybe Div can help out?). The £50K you refer to has already been deposited in a bank account along with another £150K from others. He told us that £200K was committed to the community takeover and the £1.3 Million funding was still possible. He then went on to say he was willing to put in £500K but others had told him correctly IMO that this would be impossible under a community purchase. He is still there working for no salary and the only question I asked is why?
  3. Yea i know but the difference is he is not a major shareholder like the others who have an asset which if they can sell will return a fair sum of money for all their hard work. So my question was realy quite simple, If the community takeover is dead which looks likely , he must see another way forward for his involvement in the club. You have the right to believe or not believe what he said at the last meeting but it was "I am willing to put £500,000 of my own money into the club". Now he can't do that under the community purchace but it would be a great starting point for a traditional bid. I don't have any inside knowlege of what is going on but as long as he stays at the club he must feel he has a part to play in the future buyout of St Mirren.
  4. My only team has always been St Mirren ....what about you ?
  5. Not realy they make you fart and in your case through the mouth
  6. Not realy a post about the cic A,B,C or D but more about Richard Atkinson. He has been our commercial director for 1 year and 9 months. There is no salary for this post and as his venture has failed you have to ask "why is he still here?". He said he would walk away if he could not achieve his goals yet he remains. He is a fairly rich man in our world with enough money to quote "I can put £500,000 into St Mirren" (source ...last meeting from his mouth). The thing is I think he is already putting money in and I think a more traditional takeover might be on the cards with Richard at the helm. Any thoughts ?
  7. Richard Atkinson is in contract talks to buy the club. £500,000 of his own money has been set aside to make a consortium deal possible.
  8. I must have read the input on the site wrongly, and as such it's my mistake......but as you say you did contribute. It is sad that what looked a great option for our club has been left in limbo not once but twice. It's the worst example of PR I have ever seen and as such I will continue to enjoy our football and never again get interested in any bids for our club. What will be will be but any momentum the CIC created is gone forever IMO.
  9. Since you are the one who worked for free to create the new website maybe you deserve an update before anyone else!.... IMO REA wanted to do exactly as he said (make St Mirren a community club) but has been a PR disaster, not once but twice!....He is still there though and maybe trying to raise the missing funding from other private bodies who do exist. The new plan he offered is not going to meet the shortfall though and will collapse if he is not successful. I don't think the deal is a parrot though.... more of a cat......Schrodingers cat.
  10. The BOD are in a difficult position just now and it is not their fault. If like me you are in the majority and recognise the great work SG has put in then you will understand his predicament. 10000hrs made a bid that makes sense to safeguard St Mirren and was offering the £2million price. SG let them run with it and if the funders had come through then we would be a cic under 10000hrs. Now we have a fire fighting plan that might or might not succeed , none of the actions taken should be directed at SG or the board as the selling consortium. They have every right to distance themselves from actions they are not involved in such as 10000hrs looking for support from mp's. To sum up ...SG and the board will continue to run St Mirren in the way they have until they accept a bid. The czech bid was more than the price........wonder why Stewart knocked it back
  11. It's one of the best things about the deal that naebody makes hehaw out the club. Then again if you stand buddiecat and are elected?........then you might get sick of sausage rolls in the near future.
  12. 10000hrs will make a bid for the club.....anywhere between £1.5 million and £2 million. If we stay at the numbers as they are it will be £1.5 million and likely rejected. If we can get it up a bit then maybe £1.7 millon will do.
  13. Maybe it's just me but I thought the Mods might want to start a thread to gauge opinion on the final plan for 10000hrs....ie what kind of support they have and how much more we can help. ........Like I say maybe it's just me.
  14. Most fans don't Tsu....Just some. It really is quite simple .....Do you believe what he says?.....If yes back it , If not don't. I,m going for £20 per month.
  15. My point is that St Mirren can be sold for less than £2 Million but Stewart Gilmour will never offer a lesser price.......ie a bid of £1.6Million can be accepted or rejected against other bids if it is presented as real.
  16. At least this is coming to an end........If enough back it .... It will happen ........If not It will fold.
  17. I think it's clear there will be no movement in the selling price but if 10000hrs offer say £1.6 million a final decision will be forced on the board to accept or reject it. If they have a better offer which can sustain the club then so be it.
  18. I see one thing hasn't changed.....10000hrs, Ken McGeoch or the 3rd bid needs £2Million. Stewart Gilmour is a hard nosed buisness man (nothing wrong with that).......But it will be interesting to see how we GUARANTEE £700,000 as it would have been the funding body losing out if there was a shortfall... or more likley being paid over a longer time in the origional plan..I will be interested to see how 10000hrs achieve this.
  19. Hope Campbell remembered to order the plastic tumblers!..... .....Not for me mind...I would gladly by you a pint.
  20. You ask some good questions my friend and the point is we can speculate now as the truth will be delivered on Wednesday. No increase in d/d is a must. No 3yr commitment is a must. A reduction in the asking price is a must. If these conditions are met then we have a chance.
  21. Thanx for the award Sid but my post has nothing to do with you. Speculation will cease on Wednesday and I thought this was a good time to go through the various scenarios which might be on the table. Taking my posts as a newcomer aside I think the majority on here will look to you as a founder member as being the most erratic. So the award goes to you my friend .....enjoy
  22. Great time to speculate with guaranteed answers coming on Wednesday. If the cic wants to increase fans contributions then it's a no. If we have to commit to a 3 yr direct debit plan in the normal way then it's a no. If we take up the full £700,000 debt without the board making any concesions then it's a no. Just my opinion but i live in hope that none of the above are in 10000hrs minds.
  23. E mail sounds like a cic.....hope so
  24. All credit to Motherwell.... as is mentioned in the Herald they are close to achieving their goal. No mean feat as £750,000 raised through fans is something to be proud of. I would be dissapointed if our new plan is anything less than a cic for the reasons Stu explains. Sounds like it might be and if so my financial support will be withdrawn as it offers nothing in the community that I signed up for.
