  1. Well said that webmeistar man, well said indeed. May I fully state my absolute support for young Tommy Craig and his new backroom team of Gary "the wing king" Teale and Jim "the crazy man" Goodwin. Lot's of credit to the board of director's in moving so quickly. In life you youngsters will learn that the worst leaders are not the ones that make bad decision's but rather those who make no decisions. Altogether now TOMMY CRAIG'S BLACK AND WHITE ARMY TOMMY CRAIG'S BLACK AND WHITE ARMY
  2. Surely this is a wind up, surely to goodness! Well Thomas please thank that young man for making an old man laugh, my underpantaloons are slightly more yellow in the gusset as a result.
  3. And when he realised Provan's was not open Barry said "f**k that man, im no gawn tae braeheed to go to Jay Deees, I buy ma trainers fae that err shoap at the forge and that".
  4. In our new manager we want someone with the following qualities Knows the Scottish game inside out Has played at a high level Is good with the media Has a good rapport with the fans Cares about the Saint Mirren professional football club pte ltd co Commands the respect of professional footballers Is not a bumbling halfwit Forum user's may I present Mr Steven Thompson! Edited to add: Of course if we want someone with a Saint Mirren professional football club pte ltd co background that includes scoring a winning goal in a national cup final for our beloved team the we could also look at Ian Ferguson!!!!!!
  5. Well we all knew that was happening. I do regret that the club did not do the decent thing by Daniel and tell him categorically that his contract was to be run down. The whole business on Thursday where the board did not make a decision was in poor taste and Daniel deserved better. Anyway that said, thanks for everything Danny. You leave with your head held high, you have the respect of all folk with a leaning toward the Saint Mirren professional football club pte ltd co. I do hope the next fellow is as good with the fan's as Danny was.
  6. Does Barry Ferguson play golf? I do hope that the fantastic golf day is unaffected by all of this!
  7. Is this is true then you have my full agreement. The "speculation" is due to a radio interview given by our chairman so to call it "speculation" is just unfair. I am sure Mr Daniel Lennon would have had a sleepless night last night and will undoubtedly be worrying about the outcome of this meeting so if he is being left hanging by the board then I am afraid that is an appalling way to treat the man. Daniel deserves better, the players deserve better and finally us fans deserve better. I wil be left very disapointed if this proves to be the case, very disapointed indeed.
  8. Well I am going to speculate Today the board of the Saint Mirren professional football club ptd ltd co MAY or MAY NOT make a decision on Daniel Lennon's future and MAY or MAY NOT be on the lookout for a new manager. What can I say? I really am a risk taker!
  9. As far as I am concerned Steven Thompson can buy the club and make himself club president for life. He can also make himself manager. He can rename the four stands as follows: The Steven Thompson league cup final goal main stand. The Steven Thompson is the best in the west - bank The Steven Thompson is cooking with gas works end The Steven Thompson is fine choo choo line - end. He can take over the pie stall and "naughty Shull" can enjoy The Thommohawk has nifty feet, pie with meat The Steven Thompson is a beefcake bovril The Stevie T tea The Steven Thompson "woop woop" soup The "Thommo and what a goal " sausage roll and other such victuals. Be more open about your admiration for Steven Thompson. Without him only Bluto knew what the word cathartic meant!!!!!!
  10. Well it has come the time, when I can stop speaking in rhyme. The Killie game we did not boss and we suffered a pishy loss. Will we today see Danny get the sack? Either way, if alive I will always be back

  11. Shull, You did not have to start yet another thread on Daniel Lennon's future but instead you could have posted in of the other two already running today. For the rest of the day I will refer to you only as "naughty Shull". Now I respect your viewpoint whereby because Daniel Lennon brought a national trophy to Paisley for the first time since 1987 then (unless you count the challenge cup) then he should be given the job for life along with free taxi rides and half price pies and a Greggs loyalty card. I disagree as the football since the league cup win was worse than awful. Many of the performances have been gut wrenchingly flaps and with the squad that Daniel assembled we should have been much closer (if not in) to the top six. The league form has been one huge and ongoing disapointment. The efforts of the last month have been enjoyable but that is only papering over the very obvious cracks in what has been ultimately another dispointing season in the league. We need to freshen up, we need a new start, a new kick, a new man for a new season. Anyway "naughty Shull" I respect your opinion but I disagree with it!
  12. Well my position on this matter is clear. Time for a change. The euphoria of staying up is masking the fact that the season was dire, we were miles away from the top six finish, the football was mostly urine and I cannot see us improving without major change. That said Daniel Lennon and the team have done well over the past month but that aside I am afraid we have been found somewhat "wanting". If Daniel does stay then of course I will support him but I really would like us to try something fresh. The season was absolutely pantaloons, pantaloons with a yellow stain at tht the crotch!
  13. Whilst I understand Wilbur's point's I prefer the viewpoint as stated by Slash above. Hearts as a football club deserve everything coming to them but such a discussion provides only to be a "fun hoover" in what is essentially a jovial thread. I have spent the past few minutes playing about on google and I have found the following Always look on the bright side of life - Monty Python Going down - Freddy King Where have you gone - Barry Manilow Heads up, Hearts down - I fight the dragons Gone and never coming back - Melanie Fiona
  14. Sorry fellow forum user's I appear to have posted the same thing twice. I feel dafter than a Greenock bookmaker!
  15. I like Kenny Shiels. He did a very good job at Kilmarnock, out-performing our glorious team in the league every year (with less resources due to the crippling debt) and delivering a league cup for the debt ridden Kilmarnock dwellers. I really enjoyed his interview's particuarly when he made no attempt to mask his utter contempt for Neil Lennon and anything to do with the east end of Glasgow sub-humans. Kilmarnock are blatantly worse off now since "Kenny the character" was bulleted and as of this moment I am declaring that not only do I think they will occupy the play-off spot I also think the will be relegated. Our Greenock underlings were in a sorry and woeful state before the appointment of "the Sheilmeister" and I find it impossible to accept that a man who did so well at Kilmarnock could be in any way to blame for the hilarious shambles that our Greenock lower classes have found themselves to be. The sidesplitting and quite unforgettable comedy show that the 10-2 scorleline has provided us with will provide comedic value to us Buddies for years to come. The fact remains though that a man of Kenny's calibre is better than that so something sinister may well have been at play. In any case I am still laughing as I type this.
  16. I have previously expressed my derision for this strip and my derision continiues to burn, like thrush! Whilst I wholeheartedly agree with the well written article on next season's clown style strip and I echo the the statement of "suffering Christ" as written in said article I cannot help but wonder if a new more positive article should now be penned in support of the strip. Now (stay with me) the article is absolutely correct and truthful as I previously said, in fact I like the article, it is one of my favourites. We,the forum community of this here forum are Saint Mirren professional football club pte ltd co supporter's and as such I am sure we all wish to do as much as we can to promote the club and the clubs interests. This would even extend to penning a slightly biased and basically untrue critique of the new strip. Why? Well any decrease in sales (surely less people will actually buy this eye hurting thing) harms our glorious and righteous club directly and the appearance of such an article (however accurate and well written) may serve to harm the sales figures of this terrible piece of over priced cloth. If the writing of such a spin-doctoring tale of lies is in any way insulting to the journalistic communty involved in penning the fine articles that we, the forum user's enjoy then I would even volounteer to pen an alternative article as I do not mind telling blatant lies in the pursuance of what I see as a greater good. If the Christian's and Muslim's can do it to promote false Gods then old TT can do it to promote all things Saint Mirren professional football club pte ltd co. I await the commision!
  17. The recent form has been great, really great indeed. But, and it is a but, the form over this season has been woeful. When purchasing my season ticket I was informed via the media that Danny Lennon's target was a top six place. The points difference between our wonderful club and St Johnstone is rather a large gap. If top six was a genuine target (and with the squad we have it should have been both a target and an expectation) then this season's league performance has been an abject failure. The small victory of avoiding relegation may have injected a small piece of the "feel good factor" into us as supporter's but when we look at the season as a whole I am afraid the football has been largely gash. Again I wish Daniel Lennon every success, I like the man, I really do and I hope he goes on to have a very succesful career in whatever he does. As for my team though, well my team need a change, a new start, another throw of the dice. We will see many, many changes at our club over the summer as a large number of player's contract's are running out. Is this the time for a new broom to sweep clean?
  18. My heart say's Hibs, just because I would really find it funny to see them follow the Hertz, really funny indeed. My head say's Ross County because they are just so bloody far away and It must cost the supporter's clubs a fortune travelling to Dingwall. They do not bring more than a handful of fan's to our home and Derek Adam's is a bellend so Ross County won my vote with Hibs closely behind. Partick Thistle are a welcome addition to football's top table. A short jaunt through the clyde tunnel, a decent fanbase and we have the beginings of a friendly rivalry with hopefully a decent Partick support gracing the gate of our footballng mecca. KIlmarnock are also a nice distance for travel clubs and they do tend to bring a decent away support to our footballing home. With the added debt ridden nature of the club they are unlikely to transform into a team that we should fear anytime soon and will be perennial cannon fodder so it is in our interest's that the Ayrshire ruffian's remain. So we have a decision. Ross County begone and return no time soon!
  19. Goodness me. I was in Johnstone the other day and I took a wee walk up the high street, toward penman's where I thought I would pop into Provan's sports for a wee look at the merchandise with a view to making a small purchase or two. Turn's out Provan's has moved! Not only that but I didn't see any sports shop in Johnstone now and Woolworth's is gone and the snooker club is away!
  20. And for that we cannot blame the lad. Great young lad and he will be remembered fondly by all at our club if/when he goes. Now who will still be at our wonderful club next season?
  21. Ah the usual "I cannot be completely happy with the wonderful form of my team without taking a pot shot at fellow supporters of my club" routine. Well done to all at St Mirren professional football club pte ltd co for very efficiently over coming the mess that we had found ourselves in, well done indeed. Credit to the players and management alike as the form in the last four games has been excellent. Let's enjoy the current good fortunes for now, we will have plenty of time to reflect on the appalling form we endured for much of the season.
  22. No we can pin point the time exactly. It was today at TEN TWO five!

  24. That is true our forum God, very true indeed. That said that is the worst football strip I have ever seen, It hurts my eyes and when did yellow become one of our colours? It is honking, its is daft looking, it is stupid, it is awful, it is keich, it is so bad that I genuinely couldn't believe it when I saw it. In the style of the comic store guy from that cartoon called "The Simpson's" WORST STRIP EVER
